| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Great finale with the action. I really liked how the fight scenes were coordinated with Nagate was going up against the enemy. I think he really improved now even after everything he's been through. Pretty solid animation as well although some of the scenes were kinda weird. BOOM. Rating this 8/10. Oh and looks like we get a confrontation between Kunate and Nagate. Those tears... |

| Damn, that finale was epicly damn awesome. Looks like Izana is saved. :D Solid 9.5/10. Next: "Sidonia no Kishi: War of the Ninth Planet" MOTHAOGMLOLCANNOTCONTAINMYDAMNEXCITEMENT Edit: Tomorrow at 5 AM. I have to wake up to school. Now I just finised rewatching this Blu-Ray Director's Cut 1080p at 11:15 PM. 10/10 RIP brain at class. everything made more sense after marathoning, though. also, DAMN SON LOOK AT THOSE AMAZING CGI AND EARBREAKING SOUND EFFECTS. This show is on-par with ufotable's works. 2 MORE MONTHS MOTHAFS until the 2nd coming. |

| What was written on the wall by Benisuzume at the end? On that subject, is the captive one even called Benisuzume or is that just an unnamed fake Hoshijiro? Two Benisuzumes? Anyway, cool ending. Ended on a much happier note than I figured it would. I would have said you're crazy if someone told me Sidonia was going to have a happy ending lol. (IK it continues) I can't help but wonder what the MAL rating would be sans the people who rated for it being 3DCG and dropping. |

| THAT WAS EPIC!!! I felt the tears of relieve too. That dogfight like duel with Benisuzume! Those dodges (matrix) in slow motion! A mecha doing that!!! Benisuzume killed by Nagate's last projectile without a gun. That fist holding the bullet and dealing the killing blow. Platoon 1 going inside to kill the master Gauna. Izana saving Nagate was pretty awesome too :D Platoon one determined to kill the Gauna before anything, which includes their escape. They succeeded their task, but the missile is going to hit. That was pretty intense how one second of hesitation would had caused them their lives in the explosion! 10 pilots surviving! Nagate trying to persuade Kunato. Kunato should quit for life. Crying at Nagate's personality! Can't wait for second season. Hmm... an 8 or a 9, not sure what to choose! |

| Absolutely Breathtakingly Brilliant Gauna Pulverizing Action! That dogfight was so bloody amazing. The slo-mos are done so fantastically I was at loss of words. And then the tears of joy! Sidonia lives! This anime has been amazing. I am really glad that I have picked it up and followed it week-in week-out. It was worth every minute of it! It seems that the Hoshijiro placenta Tanikaze captured has disintegrated after he defeated the original placenta Benisuzume. Poor guy probably doesn't know since he looked so cheerful as he went to the lab. I think Kunato will play a vital role and grow up in the next season. Izana is likely to evolve since Izana seems to have realized that she wants Tanikaze. And from the final segment, it looks like 702 is still alive! Cannot wait for the sequel. A NINE/TEN for season 1! |

| Benisuzume vs. Nagate was epic! Loved their quick yet fastidious movements while engaged in battle. Nagate deals the final blow with the CC projectile gaven by Ren. Ah, Benisuzume is gone. Will miss that creepily cute smile though.. Platoon 1 did an excellent job in destroying G542's exterior and paving way for the missile. Awesome teamwork there! The Gardes squad making it out alive and formation scene was nice. (^^) Nagate trying to be kind towards Kunato and asking him to resume piloting was nice to see. (totally unnecessary to even talk to him again). Well, shedding manly tears probably means he'll turn good again? (Unsure, since he's too sly). Honoka sisters are only five years old? O.o Impossible! Look at Izana being all edgy when Ren was talking to Nagate. XD Not much a placentra Shizuka this episode. I assume she's still alright. What was that at the end? I thought Benisuzume died. Another one? :O Epic series. 8/10. Second season needs to happen after that last scene! |

| The last episode really lived up to my expectations : that was some fine ass Gauna action we got there, and the Tanikaze v. Benisuzume dogfight was as good as it gets. Kobayashi's one and only gulping was enough to indicate how tense the situation was. I was actually happy that Nagate took the initiative to talk to Kunato again: even though Mr Butthurt clearly fails at life, at least he'll have to eventually realize there are people who still care about his ass. Can't wait to see how Izana develops as a character: she shows a lot of promise. So, season 2 is really confirmed then? YUSS. Can't wait. Solid 9/10 for me. |

| Kunato isn't dead yet? -1 for this series. This really needs a second season--just doesn't feel like they fleshed out all they could, like Izana's relationship with Tanikaze, or Hoshijiro's alien clone. I'm glad they left us with the little teaser at the end for more potential episodes. |

| Nice way to wrap things up. Finally Nagate tried to get Kunato out of his funk I guess he still needs more time. Talk about an entrance with that pink hair girl just came out of nowhere. I guess that gauna at the end was another teammate/ Hoshijiro since the voice sounded the familiar. Well I enjoyed the ride I just hope it doesn't take too long for when the 2nd season arrives. |

| Really enjoyed this series even though i had my doubts. With CGI still looking a bit awkward, you never know if they will be able to do it right, but i feel like this series they did. I cant wait for the 2nd season. |

| When Tanikaze did a bullet time after Benisuzume unleashed the shockwave attack...my jaw dropped. The bgm + the tense atmosphere = shivers down my spine. I didn't expect him to missile punch Benisuzume. The fight was absolutely brilliant. That scene with Kunato and Tanikaze...why do I feel like I just watched a confession scene? XD! I was thinking of reading the manga after this but since S2 has been confirmed, I'm going to wait. Not knowing what's going to happen or who's going to die definitely adds to the whole bleak atmosphere and to overall enjoyment. You know, what they should make a game based on this. I'd totally play it. 9/10. I feel so bad for those who dropped this simply because they didn't like CG. |

| Yeah about Izana, maybe they'll still do it, but on a different mission or something :/ Maan this last episode was great! Loved the feeling of accomplishment at the end! Except...that wasn't how Benisuzume died in the manga, was it? At least I don't recall that happening. But still, nice fight :) And Kunato...still don't like him, but it's nice to see that he is human, and that he can get emotional/feel touched. And this is what makes Nagate such a good person. Lastly, after the ED. |

| loved the epic action in the last two episodes. Izana pouty faces ftw . The sound effects in this series was 11/10. I felt like the characters were lacking in terms of development. Hopes to a good season #2. Definitely the dark horse of the season. 9/10 |

| Intense and awesome end of this marvelous space battle I'm delighted a second season will be coming soon as well Izana had a key role of this invasion by saving Nagate 10 survivors out of 48 is still impressive with the luck of 7 coming out of the dwarf planet before the missile hit it The last scene of Nagate and Kunato had me worried, but in the end it was a great speech and managed to move that scoundrel Kunato This was really the best of this season from what I've seen with Mushi-shi Zokou and Haikyuu! coming after |

| Part of me appreciates how much better the fight was in the anime, the other part of me feels unsure about the rearrangements and changes made from the manga :/. Also feel like they missed the chance to end on one hell of a cliffhanger with the spot they ended this season at. |
| I enjoyed the fight, but I didn't expect such a sappy ending from this anime: Tanikaze preaching about love, Kunato crying, everyone returning alive, etc. Quite disappointing, since I liked everything up to this point. I'm aware of the second season and that this is nothing but a transition, and I expect the show to return to form then, but the tone shift in this episode was a bit jarring, and was more unfitting than the harem moments throughout the episodes. Fine show overall, and I'm definitely looking forward to the next season. |
| Well that was friggin epic! Nagate vs Benisuzume was amazing! Dat animation! Dat fist bullet! Really nice stuff. Nagate was BA. And I'm actually glad Benisuzume isn't dead. I want more of that creepy cute laugh :3 Also pretty nice save by Izana. That was a risky shot. Nice going ^^ The explosion of the planet looked really beautiful :D and the return of the hero was nice :) Liked the OST. Still hate Kunato a lot but hopefully he'll start making up for it now. He actually cried. He had emotions?? XD well Nagate raised his flag lol Ren and her sisters finally apologise and join the harem :3 ofc Izana got jealous :P lol'd the faces s/he made during Ren and Nagate's talk XD I wonder where red Shizuku went at the end? The place empty? All in all 9/10 and can't wait for S2 now to read the manga ^^ |

| I came here because I saw the tags Space, Sci-fi, Mecha and Action, and that the anime was cell shaded. Seeing how well it worked on Ars Nova I thought it'd be very promising here. Was not dissapointed. |
| Not sure how I feeel with the changes to Izana's stuff. Most likely they will do some anime-original shit in next season to fix that at the start. Also they did NOT use the cliffhanger? That surprised me. I guess this had the same problem as Prisma Illya's last season - by the time they were putting the episodes together they did not really know if they will get a second season so it did not make sense to leave stuff hanging, so they removed certain foreshadow-y parts and twists to make it more "complete" - chances are the season 2 beginning will add the missing parts in some sort of anime-original sortie. |

| Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances. He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter. Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga. Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month. Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel. The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck. |

| Wow, I loved it. Always wanted a sci-fi series that captures a blue-tinted world in the way this does. Certainly looking forward to the season two and I hope it delivers well enough. Glad to have episode 12 over with, as I was holding my breath from episode 11. For now however, I'll miss the wonderful sounds and stunning alive screens this anime has, and my weekly boost of courage from the amazing opening theme. I really really enjoyed it. |
