I think one can easily lose count of how many characters have 'betrayed' their side in this series. One really doesn't know who stands where save few exceptions.

I just don't understand. What the fuck is Guin thinking? What was the point of betraying the Queen? Couldn't he just negotiated for peace between the Moonrace and Terrans and STILL get technological advancement for the Earth?

Agreed? Did his bloodlust awaken or something?

Or maybe he wants to conquer and rule all of earth and not just be satisfied with peace. Quite the bastard. Here's hoping for a cruel death for him.

Yeah, I don't really get it either. It's hard to understand a lot of the characters actions.

Aww, Charry and Kihel are actually kind of cute. I don't even know how that's possible in a Gundam show, but their relationship is totally reasonable.

As for Guin's spur-of-the-moment betrayal, his character hasn't seemed that solid to begin with. I don't understand him at all. =_= He greatly resembles Tony Kanal, though, so he had to turn out to be evil at some point. His name is even similar to "Gwen".

HELL YEAH, SHINING FINGER!

Guin finally shown his true intentions. As said before by you guys, he could have dona an agreement with Dianna to bring technology to Earth, so looks like he wants to rule Earth or something like that.

So I was off in my prediction. It was Guin and Gym that teamed up, not Loran and Gym. Now that I think about it, it actually makes more sense this way. I only thought that Loran and Gym were going to team up because of one scene in dynasty warriors gundam 3 where Loran and Gym seemed to be on friendly terms.

Obviously Guin wants to do something more than just bring new technology to earth, he want to be ruler over it and have power.

I dont know i always suspected guin of being power hungry, especially as of recent. Dianna even kept saying a couple episodes back that he cant be trusted. Hes just finally found a time where he can let his greedy side out. Now lets see if we can get harry to bitch slap guin into oblivion too.

He wants power and influence - it's why he was working with the Moonrace behind the scenes for the return plan, and if he can't get them with one faction, he'll get them with another. He's been on the side of the angels for most of the series thus far because the Dianna Counter forces on Earth were never willing to deal with any Earthrace in good faith (save Dianna herself, her chief of staff, and Harry Ord).

Guin is too ambitious for his own good. He doesn't seem like the type that's wants to rule the world, but he definitely wants a part in some big conspiracy for the future.

I understand the wish for modernization (that Guen already expressed before), ror influence (he was always working in that direction), but not for war. Is it just because he wants more than the Moonrace technology, or more exactly because he desires the forgotten technology?
Besides, as the main negotiator in the conflict who would have probably made the pact with Dianna and the person bringing Moon's tech to earthlings, wouldn't he get great authority on Earth?

I wasn't sure if he was feinting this attachment to Rolan until now. But seeing how he tried to keep his "Laura" even when it was easy to guess he couldn't bring him to fight other moonraces, I guess it was kind of true.

Weird ability for the Turn X.

3/5 Also "Shining Finger!!". XD

edit: and a Core Fighter!

@Switch_Z I didn't know, thank you !

I have a bad feeling that either Kihel or Harry will die.. Their story is too sweet for Gundam ...

Turn X is Gundam's King Joe.
And there were some more references to other Gundam series in this episode.

Guin being a douche was foreshadowed, but not at this level. Irrecoverable IMO.

Why am I noticing the inconsistency in drawing Harry's socks in the hospital scene of all things?

Merrybell's attack really makes me think about Diana's security lol. It's nothing without Harry. Though it might also be Diana's conscious decision (to show her resolve maybe?)

Just noticed that the helmet design of people in the palace makes no sense at all.

More triple loops

P.S. It looks like Guin even left Lily? I thought she would just follow him, but now I hope she'll bring something more interesting to the table (even if it's just drinking coffee with Kiehl)

Guin always pushed for technological advancement no matter the cost. This turn of events makes perfect sense.
I can't believe they really showed the Windmill Gundam lmao. But we also got to see the Fuunsaiki and Gingham used the motherfucking Shining Finger! I'll say it again, MASTER ASIA CANON.
Meanwhile, Loran's bad luck continues... He really can't catch a break.
Kihel and Harry are a great couple, but this is Gundam and this fact covers them with death flags sadge

Shining Finger/10, I'm so glad Loran finally complained about being called Laura to Guin's face.

Guin is awakened. Now he wants to advance humanity further and repeat the same mistake yet again, truly human and Dianna is an ape lol. That eject cockpit in Turn A is like the real-life jet but in Turn X one could separate each of its body parts, pretty darn cool ability.

The Shining finger/ Nether Gundam moments made me cry of Joy, only love for g Gundam.
Guin finally revealed his dark materialistic side, this situation seem hard to overcome.
Loran complaining about being called laura was the peak of this episode.
