That's cool that it was Rozen Maiden that got you hooked, and even though that's something I still need to read/watch I'm plenty aware of it and all of its 'desu' glory! But as for me I think my introduction to it was Kiki's Delivery Service on VHS as a mere baby, then my household had a bunch of manga like Rosario+Vampire, and Death Note lying around, and my mom showed me Black Lagoon and Hell Girl as a child. And basically ever since it's been a constant love for me and has always had an efficacious with me and all facets of my life! But 2009/2010, being a fan during that time sounds like the wild west! Was it much different than it is today? I see some MAL profiles from that era that are long dead. Posting RIP on them is a favorite pass time of mine!

I totally understand your stance when it comes to your Gundam tier, and I can't stress enough how right you are when it comes to the ZZ girls! Like ZZ girls>every other Gundam chick cast. Nice! I still need to read/watch Nichijou, since I've loved what little I've read and hold up its brother 'Nichibros' as one of my all time favorites! Trinity Blood looks sick as hell, never heard of it before you mentioned it! When did you get into Animanga?

I feel that's a lot of the cases w/UC Gundam's, they're all growers. Starts out really odd, or pure schizo, then slowly by the end of it, it's won your heart over and you wonder why you had such an odd opinion about it! I'm kind of an odd ball cause I enjoyed its early goofball nature, but when Judau's sister was killed, I think I just legit tossed my hands in the air like, "wtf". But glad everything had a nice bow by the end of it! Great taste, Chara Soon is SO underrated, love that raspy voice and unique character design like she's from a glam rock band lmao! Loved her bits with Mashmyre especially too, and personally I'm with you on how Zeta is still my favorite. Kamiru is also one of my favorite protags, just for how absolutely insane he is initially, but ends up growing so much by the end of it! Love his fashion style too, tried emulating his hair for the longest time hahah!

I would say my favorite from the OG trilogy is Z>ZZ>79, hbu? And ahhh! That's so exciting to hear! If you do end up making a website, please keep me posted on your progress! Fascinating tale, that was pretty similar to me except I didn't just stick to the classics and think I just took a break from media as a whole for awhile. By the time I came back to it, I just became more choosey with my consumption, regardless of when it was released. So I resonate with your story alot and the crappy, soulless media we'd get in the west was a huge reason I got into animanga as a whole! Did you ever catch up on any series you wanted to indulge in from 2009 that made your cut?

Agreed, ZZ gets shit on WAY too much. It's such a fun journey, I don't mind Judau being a giga-chad, and who can hate Plu?!
I can understand those who watched it like the week or whatever after Zeta ended, but personally I think some laughs were necessary after the tragedy that was Zeta's ending. Biggest personal issue with me in ZZ is the lack of Char. Even a cameo of him getting his secret army together at somepoint would've been enough, but I digress.

Exactly, it's basically geocities for the new generation. I'll keep both of them in mind, thank you. I agree with you on Maison Ikkoku, although I enjoy slice of life romance anime they're never my favorite. Maison Ikkoku was one of the few shows out of the genre that stayed with me and it definitely has one of my all time favorite anime endings to date.

Dude, you ever see some of those pics of convention floors? I don't mind so much the people, but you know it raises a red flag when a website for a convention mentions in it's rules of conduct to make sure you shower out of consideration for others.
