THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

Finding a game of megane. Oh, wow... very forceful in saying "yes", but also not letting others out. Wow @ the punishments. (topics from the movies?) Scary intermission song before student council guy got that game.

Teachers. One of the megane teacher's story, and that guy was his teacher, who helped him. So he wants to help Meganebu, too.

Motormobile club leader by ... Sako Tomohisa (ED singer)??? Who was it?? I didn't even realize the character's voice because of the touching story!!

That ex-teacher/bar owner as preview megane guy.

Worst game of Jumanji ever.

Apparently the first half was all about shout-outs because the show has to feel relevant somehow. Harry Potter, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Men in Black... At least they lampshade the fact everything's ripping off movies, but that doesn't make everything better. If they wanted to do a parody or shout-out, they could have made it at least decent.

I did not like the Jumanji half at all.

Tet-chan as a teacher was interesting but a teacher beating the crap out of students is shady as hell.

hmm this episode was definitely weaker compared to the others.. the first half was too absurd, even for this show.

The screen was unclear and did not see the character's name clearly. I've heard that he's voicing a character in this ep., but forgot about it to the extend that I didn't notice his voice. After knowing the character, I still don't remember his dubbing voice, though. I thought that teacher was the buchou.

Oh a Meganebu Jumanji spin-off.

Well, well, looks like Hotaka is pretty much of trouble maker during his high school days.

Best episode yet! Very relatable as a megane myself. I laughed.

(Maybe except the last few parts. Those were decent)

In 15 minutes they managed to rip off Jumanji, Harry Potter, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Men In Black. Now that's talent...

I love how they noticed it was all movie rip-offs, but the most laughable part was when the situations appeared, As a megane myself, I found myself nodding in approval to all (yes I did wash my face with glasses on before)

As for the second part, I like back stories, but this one was a bit meh.

Jumanji, Harry Potter, and Men in Black, that kinda cracked me up and made want to throw things at this absurdity.

Whys is this?
Jumanji, Jason and Black Men in the series. It was very funny halfway, because the Hotaka's story was boring.

Pretty good episode, my only complaint is the supernatural phenomena, feels a little Samumenco there.

Anyone recognise the deep-voiced guy who was holding a gun during the Jumonji part? It's driving me INSANE. You can hear him best around 11:35.

I absolutely loved the Jumanji (one of my favorite movies as a kid) + other movie references. You haters have horrible taste.

The second half was ok. Instead of telling us about other characters they should work on developing the ones who are already there first.

I love this ep! Best ep so far!

I knew the game was a rip-off from Jumanji, but I didn't realize the other movie references until I saw the pair of guys in suits (MIB!), then I realized the two bros were Harry Potter ripoffs. Didn't know the chainsaw one cos I'm not a fan of horror movies ^^;

Lol @ "People who told you to remove your glasses are not your brothers!"

I could relate to most of the problems since I'm a megane person as well heheh

I felt that the second half was a bit short. I tot they could've at least give a flashback on how Akira begged Shirogane-sensei to be his club's advisor. I guess Tet-chan wanted to beat up the guys himself so that he could use it to resign as a teacher. Seeing Shirogane sensei as a high school kid is good enough ^^

....Jumanji? Its this a Jumanji reference? Really? And was that supposed to be Harry Potter? Then chainsaw zombies? And was that, Men in Black? Congratulations Meganbu, these stand as some of the oddest references I've seen in anime, and you even pointed out that they were references. I have no idea what you were trying to do.

Although, the thing that confuses me further is the second half, which gave me Ristorante Paradiso or Bartender vibes. It was chill and nostalgic, which I truly enjoyed. I'm not sure how to treat this show.

The Megane Board Game segment was hilarious. Those statements were also really relateable! My glasses always hurts me after wearing headphones for so long!

The second half was really good too. More of a slice of life story instead of our typical megane comedy. Really relaxing stuff.
