Reading the top two on the shounen list, awesome. Might check out the shoujo stuff, I've been on a real shoujo/josei kick as of late.

From shoujo I only read Hibi Chouchou, maybe I'll try the others when I'll have time.
As for shounen the top 2 spots are well deserved.

Pretty epic list there with some big names. I just started reading Nanatsu no Taizai recently as well. That shoujo list is a bit vague to me though. I only know 3 of those titles by looking at it. Hibi Chouchou is a cute manga though.

Nanatsu, Sakamoto and AssClass deserve their rating, although I would switch the top two around.
As for Ajin: Is it just me or does this series seem to be completely under the radar? This is the second time it got such a major award afaik and nobody seems to really care about this series in the West.

That's because most groups prefer to scan the same action/adventure Shounen, ecchis, romcoms and supernatural Shoujos over and over again instead of actually good stuff.

I don't really read but seeing AssClass on the first spot does bring me smiles.
"Children of Japan. And those who were once children. Listen! This is not a dream. This is not fiction. In reality, your superheroes were always fighting. To teach viewers courage and the meaning of justice! No matter how many enemies there are. No matter how strong evil is. Just remember. Does any another country have so many heroes? Has any another country been protected by multiple superheroes? Stand with me, friends! Remember when you used to watch your superheroes!
Once you may have given up this dream. But today, you can be a hero!"

That slow development in romance and the SoL-ish moment is great. Just not for you.

Seen the first chapter recently, and that's some pretty good shit! Deserves more viewer definitely.

It has the same tone throughout the whole manga, at least up to where I stopped/on hold.

Is not a surprise from since it's my one of my favourites.Maybe that kind of manga isn't your genre.

~_~I'm really puzzled by most of the shounen one's.
5/10 Are look just plain stupid. And those would be:
Juuhan Shuttai!(Other manga about manga yea!.... NO!)
Hikidashi ni Terrarium (Hmm this looks ooook maybe?)
Amaama to Inazuma(There are other 20 mangas with this kind of synopsis)
Onnoji (Pokerface~)
Houseki no Kuni (No idea what to say about this one)

I painted my teary face with a disguised smile and pretended it was a cry out of joy.

Unfortunately, never heard of any of the sugoi manga from the fem section, but I rarely check them anyway, so good luck to them.

From the male section, I am really interested in checking those, especially Terrarium in a Drawer. Itching to read anything translated by this author (a lady?).

4. Juuhan Shuttai!
7. Hikidashi ni Terrarium

9. Onnoji
10. Houseki no Kuni

So, Shingeki no Kyojin returned to top ten! Congrats!

I just wonder if some of the titles in the list are there because of high votes from "collaborators" like pundits, industry people and academics. Yeah, I am thinking of titles like Juuhan Shuttai!, Hikidashi ni Terrarium, Amaama to Inazuma and Onnoji etc.

Don't tell me you predicted Juuhan Shuttai or Onnoji to be on the list...
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.
