MC of this show is pretty cute and the show seems decent so far. Shame about the hideous CG on the suits which I think are also just ugly by design.

Such a shame the show decided to go with such an annoying lead. It has a lot of interesting things, but don't think I can stand Hajime any more. Dropped.

When I watched [HS] I thought that too. [cthuko] Translated "I think I saw something" as "I think I understand". Which kinda makes sense since it looked like Hajime was about to ask him something regarding the MESS but he answered her question with the birds then zapped her away to the MESS's location. I'm not sure how the flying birds answered her question or which translation is correct but that is my theory.

JJ's tengu right? lol
Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances.
He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

Personally, I find Hajime's personality to be incomprehensibly annoying. There's something about her bubbly personality and over-the-top optimism that makes it painful to watch her. If that was the goal, they did a damn good job, but I think her personality wouldn't be so bad an existance if they toned it down a few notches. Although I'd much rather see her suffer through crippling anguish to my amusement and enjoyment, I'll settle and let this particular dog have its day.

So far, character dynamics have been disappointing. Hajime and Sugane are terrible foils. As far as I'm concerned, most of the other characters hold the same weight as the paper crowd in a sports video game. The social media theme as a later plot concept seems interesting. Maybe, just maybe, this show will go somewhere unexpected and won't end in mediocrity.

Completely agree so far. I don't see how people can possibly see Hajime as a smart character hidden within an apparent airhead. I'm not getting the same vibe I got from say Shoko Sashinami from Valvrave where on the surface she appears to be this happy go lucky airhead, but you can see eventually she's always considering things and trying to be generally good natured and find the best solution that makes the most people satisfied even if she's more than a little out of her league in certain areas. Then again I didn't find Shoko to be anywhere near as over the top as Hajime has been portrayed in these episodes and that's counting episode 5 and the nature of the show she's in herself.

By comparison Hajime comes off as insufferable because by essentially forcing herself, her personality and a little bit of her opinions on the viewers from the moment she appears in the most ham-fisted way possible and the show seeming like it's going to go down the road of consistently reaffirming her views and making the entire rest of the cast a foil to her is a bad omen. I REALLY hope it doesn't go down that road as that would turn this show into a complete joke for me for real. I think this show is going to sink or swim based on just how naive a world view it manages to espouse through Hajime. Whatever they are going for potentially in terms of positivism, good naturedness and just empathizing with people being a more effective tool than violence I'm not sure (I should say I by no stretch find these to be bad traits for a person to aspire to)...rather I don't think Hajime in her current portrayal is the right sort of spokesperson for that sort of thing at all. Tiger pulled it off in Tiger and Bunny by being a fully realized and truly world wise character with some noticeable flaws, Shoko pulled it off in Valvrave's first season by ultimately showing that there were some problems that even her resolve couldn't overcome, let's see where they go with Hajime, but I can't help but feel that because of where they seem to be taking her this episode that she comes off as potentially even worse than in the first episode.

i agree hajime spoils the show for me.everyone is so shes a genius this and than but to me she just likes to force her personality and opinion on every one else its like she wants everyone to act and think like her.i feel sorry for the main guy at the end of this show i hope he does not lose his identity and dont turn into a little pansy.shit that girl is so annoying.she has to cook over his food tells him how to do his job barges in people room and calls him a fossil because he not on facebook what an ass

Interesting. The story is actually going places with GALAX playing a major part in it. And the Gatcha are starting to show a bit more depth to them, specially Hajime who...

Absolutely dominates the screen time. Sometimes I feel like reaching through the screen and strangling her. Sometimes I feel like picking her up and kissing her. But mostly curious about what she'll do next and try to catch on her unorthodox view of life and positive attitude. She's clearly not the airhead that some have described her to be.

At least one mistery has been solved. Her school outfit made her look like the most voluptuous protagonist ever. Now we know it was just the uniform.

Sugane needs to chill. Hajime, on the other hand, should keep on being herself. (^_^)

GALAX is pretty interesting, especially when some person named Rui is behind it.
So mysterious lady can copy others. It's either she's the villain or it could be Rui.

It seems this anime is heading places.

To repeat everyone: this is going places. Good places I might add. Hajime seems to be gunning for number one in my list of favourite characters, being awesome like that. She's friends with the mayor and the fire chief, and treats them exactly like she treats everyone else: as an individual, but not higher or lower in rank than her. She seems to be at the center of everything.

There seems to be a lot more going on than seemed to be the case, they're talking about a 'disaster'. Maybe that's what accustomed them to the existence of the otherwordly? Remember the first episode: "the existence of aliens I can accept, but Gatchaman? No way!", meaning that 'something' happened that changed society forever.

This GALAX app seems pretty interesting, I bet we're gonna hear more from that. I don't completely trust it yet, but we'll see. At least we know where the 'Crowds' part in the title comes from: everything is connected. This anime seems pretty up to date as far as I can see.

Though walls will fall, to tooth and claw

Though stars will fade, and shadow spread

And as they died, they killed the dead.

Anyone else find it odd that they have an entire floor to themselves but still share apartments. Seems kinda pointless. It was nice to see what hajima does in her spare time and she keeps just getting better with each episode. It was nice of them to also expalain that they dont get why they are fitted with their weapons since I was asking the some question. Im surprised noone at all through this whole time didint try to communicate with these square things and it seems my question is answered if that glasses character was male or female since I really couldint tell.

Why do I get the feeling O.D is "evil"? I hope he isn't, but I am getting this feeling... Speaking of having a feeling, that GALAX app is suspicious. It will likely be used for evil purposes, I think. Also, I wonder if there is a reason (other than fanservice) for Utsu-tsu wear only a black lingerie most of the time. Hopefully there is one.

Anyways, Hajime is amazing. I love her confidence and how she doesn't really overthink stuff. I wish I were more like her. She is getting close to becoming one of my favorite anime characters.

Hajime, Dues ex Mary Sue that's written way to hard to be "kawaii" and it's annoying. Not surprised everyone here thinks she's great. I thought she was cute when she was fawning over her planners in the first episode. But then I saw that it wasn't just a gimmick and she wasn't a side character... she's the MC ... and that's her normal personality 24/7.... such a terrible character.

The whole premise presented in the first episode just got punched in its fucking face in episode 2...

Concerning Hajime, I don't even care for her bubbly personnality and mannerisms. What I can't look past is how she knows all that stuff she does. She's supposed to be the new recruit, yet she just seems to know everything better than everyone else and without any reason behind it...

I was kind of bored, despite the multiple angles of intrigue that this episode introduced. It's hard to say why.

I can still only see Hajime as a heavy-handed wish fulfillment character without any balance or grounding. It's odd, because I normally love characters like her (e.g. Pikari from Amanchu), but Hajime doesn't do anything for me. At least in the first episode she made me laugh via sheer surprise, but not in this one. The rest of the characters aren't much better (Sugane is the worst of the all). I originally decided to watch the show specifically because of Hajime's excellent character design, so I'm a bit sad now.

Rui's appearance didn't do much for me either, even though I was really looking forward to it. This is the thing that bums me out the most.

This episode was much better than the first one ! It felt much less chaotic and the weirdness seemed to make sense.
There seems to be an entire concept around the idea of making the world better, depending on how it's handled it can become something very very good or very very bad.
It looks like not just one, but two villains have been introduced here. The first one is apparently just your typical "I LOVE PAIN AND CHAOS MOUHAHAHA" type of villain, however the other one, Rui, seems to be quite interesting. I wonder what she/he/they plan(s) to do with the website.

I read that Hajime is actually smart, well, it has been shown in this episode. But despite what some people say she is far from being the first "seemingly airhead but actually genius" type of character.
I hope they'll be more to her character than just her hidden intelligence and her positive approach. I don't want her to be edgy or whatever, simply have some depth because if she doesn't, I have a feeling she's gonna annoy me at times. I generally truly appreciate quirky yet smart characters, but Hajime feels different, in a way I don't really like. She's just too much, it was fun at first but now I wanna see more.

I like how Hajime's body language reflects her weapon "choice" - scissors.

"The world was updated". Now I get the meaning of the banner inside the train, and that "up" button in the OP.

Rui and Paiman seem to enjoy the same food. Rui also seems to be a crossdresser (?) - not the only time his seiyuu plays such a character.

What's the deal with Utsutsu's clones? And moving hair... Also, how're people interpreting her lines? Is she just repeating her name or am I missing a clever wordplay?

I wonder where was Hajime living before moving in to this new apartment. I also enjoy her positive attitude challenging the basic ideas of Gatchaman (like the way she just went up to JJ when everyone was thinking the floor was actually a precipice or something)

P.S. About Utsutsu's line:
Just about the only thing she says to the other members is "I will be gloomy...," (鬱々します, Utsuutsu shimasu) which is a pun on her name.

Took it from the non-spoilerish character page on MAL.
P.P.S. Rui's NOTE also has a different symbol on it ("G" for GALAX, I suppose)
