| Seems like a very pleasant, feel good type of show. Tamako looks like a younger Chitanda from Hyouka, especially in the ED. That bird was pretty funny in a delusional sort of way, though it seems it has a purpose in the story from that transmission/recording in the end. Curious to see what this show will turn into but KyoAni is pretty much surefire 8+/10 so I have high hopes. |

| How can people find that bird annoying? That bird is comedy gold. The only reason for hate that I can think so is that it is acting metrosexual, but that will be a sad reason to hate him. |

| First episode of [strike]K-ON! food ver. [/strike]Tamako Market was surprisingly hilarious! I laughed so much when ever the bird came into a scene, gotta love the comedy. Really loving the art and animation. Actually looking forward to more of this. :) Also the OP and ED are great, both sung by VA of Tamako too. :D |

| That was an interesting first episode. That bird was funny too, conceited, but funny. The boy across Tamako's shop has a crush on her, although I don't like when he acts Tsundere. Male tsundere's are sooo not cute/hot/whatever. They're ew. WE barely saw Tamako's friends in this episode. I hope we get to see more of them in the upcoming episodes. |

| This anime made me smile with its extreme cuteness & funny moments. The comedy is lighthearted & cute, unlike Chuunibyou's slapstick on cute lil girls, which I didnt like.. I like that they used Yukiko Horiguchi's designs again. I dont really mind if its the same-ish because its just too cute X3 I thought that bird was gonna be annoying but after watching this I now think he's pretty funny. Tamako eventually starts to like having him around anyway. Speaking of Tamako I think she's just adorable and sweet, no wonder everyone wanted to give her a gift. The other characters seem interesting too, Mochizou seems like a nice guy, which is great after seeing how much of an abrasive guy Yuuta was in chuunibyou. The rivalry between their dads doesnt seem like anything serious, but this might change. Anko is really cute too. I already knew that the florist was gonna be voiced by a guy but the deepness of his (or her?) voice surprised me lol. Dont know what to think about Tamako's friends yet since they barely appeared, but Kanna sounds cute. It seems like it isnt just all about the schoolgirls, but all the other people at the market too, which is nice. I like it more than Hyouka & Chuunibyou already :D Although I wonder why everyone wanting to give Tamako gifts doesn't just give it to her the next day or something.. And I also wonder if that prince guy ends up falling for Tamako & causing some love triangle.. Anyway Im really looking forward to the next episode! |

| Interesting episode =o I didn't care that much for K-On or its art style, but I'm liking this anime so far, though I'm not sure where the story is going to go XD; That bird was hilarious! Probably my favorite character so far lol >w> The opening was okay, but the ending song was really nice~ |
| This was much better than I thought it might be. I'm hoping for more Hyouka and Chuunibyou than K-On and it looks like we do have the possibilities for some romance mixed in with the comedy. The art really makes her look more like 12 than 16 though. |

| Just some quick notes I wrote up: STORY: (7-8/10) The story is pretty cute and interesting, and I like how it doesn't stick with a trite mochi vs mochi shop premise as the main plot here. Or the fact that the show doesn't revolve entirely around the school, focusing on family values instead. It's cute and the comedy is pretty decent too. The fact that we're sort of thrown into the middle of the story is definitely pretty interesting as well, given that the last two KyoAni shows (Hyouka and Chuunibyou) focused on a male lead tossed into a new school year and meeting some moe girls; K-On! did a very similar thing. It doesn't seem like it will focus entirely on a romance or some nasty drama like what Chuunibyou tried to pull, and being light-hearted in its moe-ness is definitely what I look forward to in this show. CHARACTER: (7/10) The characters are all pretty likeable for the most part, and I do like how they incorporate a more diverse cast than K-On!, where we now have a family and a guy friend. But what holds this back hugely in my opinion is the ANNOYING penguin. MY GOD can't he shut up. And given his premise, we'll only see more of him. ARTWORK, ANIMATION, & SOUND: (7-8/10) KyoAni visuals are great as usual, but they seem to falter in comparison to other recent KyoAni shows like Chuunibyou or Hyouka. The soundtrack is decent and the seiyuus do a great job also. |
| Well, that was weird. Tranny OnoD and the bird are definitely the best characters of the show anyway. And it'd be nice if KyoAni could try making things look at least slightly different. Inb4 the school they go to is another mirrored replica of the schools in K-ON and Hyouka. So, the greatest plot question in this show is, just how big will the bird get before the end of the series? Clearly the whole point of watching this. |

| all these people complaining about the sameish artstyle, while i can agree fully (i just watched the ED on youtube, i finished hyouka a few days ago, coulda sworn it was just chitanda with blue eyes) the problem is, kyoani tried a new artstyle with nichijou, and a it was fucking glorious, but it sold like shit, so you cant blame them for not wanting to change. ima watch the first episode soon, ill post back later |
