Everything is a giant Eureka mindfuck and nothing hurts!

Seriously. The last few episodes have brighten my hopes. Hopefully we'll get some much needed clarification next week.

Why would you keep watching, if you thought the show was that crap to begin with? If you're only watching in holding out hope to see the original series' characters, isn't there something principally wrong with that?

Fair enough - saying that it's "subjective" is enough for me.

And yes, my views are pretty subjective as well, though I don't think the quality is as crap as some other people have been saying.

Amazing ending. Eureka and the Gekko State showed up. Unbelievable and I def. wasn't expecting that. And Eureka looks young but lets see what happens. Haven't read the manga so I really wish this to be a good adaption.

What are the chances that this Truth guy, being adopted, is the child of Talho and Holland? I remembered Talho was pregnant and how they were somehow left behind in the end and back then I really thought their kid should play some part in the future.
Yea it sounds totally random but if this Truth dude wouldn't be connected somehow to the past it would be pretty shallow and weird. Okay he's not really human and doesn't look to be with the good guys eitehr but then again he just told Naru that she has some scub coral growing inside of her => if the scub coral is the cause of humans gaining superpowerish stuff, then i wouldn't really be surprised to find out Talho's kid had also been somehow affected as his parents have always been exposed to just about everything. In the end it might just be some other way for the scub coral to try and live "together" with the humans

Okay, I just watched episode 12. Like everyone said, this was one of the best episodes but at the same time, it felt to early to show Eureka and Gekko.

I don't understand why everyone is saying that Eureka is pregnant. To me its just the way her clothes look on her. Also, its to early to tell if she can't remember or reconignize Ao.

She should be able to recognize the new Nirvash right away, the same goes for AO (come on, it's her kid!). Btw. you can see her "belly" on 2 separate shots... 6th month imho (at least, this is what my gf says)

she hasn't seen ao since he was a little kid, and since than he has grown about 3 feet at least, his hair changed from brown to teal, and do you think she was expecting that pilot to be her son? if i didn't see my brother for 10 years and i saw him in the street one day i'm sure as hell i wouldn't know it was him.

I wish someone could've recorded my face when the Gekko State first appeared. It was probably fantastic.
I hate to say it, but the story of Ao has not pirked my interest much until now. The original E7 is one of my favorite series and I suppose I've just been mindlessly watching E7Ao, hoping for a character from s1 to appear. I believe I got what I wanted then... And maybe I wasn't enjoying the story much because of how many things came as unclear in the early episodes, but it seems as though this is going to work out. (: For now, I will wait for episode 13 and hope for the best.

well I can't find Holland anywhere in the cast list and without him I don't see how the Gekko is possible, he was the one to bring everybody on the Gekko. So this Euroka is either a different one, some sort of anotehr world crap or just some twisted future crap where the old crew is long gone already

Well I wouldn't say the idea of alternate dimensions and realities being crap but they were kinda crazy, especially watching Pocket of Rainbows.

I wonder if the Gekko and Eureka are merely illusions, though we'll find out anyway

Also I think now we have finally reached a turning point in the series. A story arc has finally been introduced and so we now must await the unveiling of what happens next. The implications mean that real plot will be told, sort of when Eureka finally realized she loved Renton.

For any tropers out there, this show is growing the beard.
Is it wrong for a growning boy to be a sucker for a good romance?

Well didnt Eureka come from another universe and give birth to Ao in the universe he is currently in? If so does that not make him an 'alien' to the current universe he is in? This series definitly leaves a LOT of questions.. Either way Eureka should be able to recognise him shouldnt she?

he is an alien cause eureka is an alien (well technically a coralian). it doesnt matter too much where he was born.

Don't know why i am only posting this now, but I have to say - I loved this latest episode. If they can keep this feeling going until the end, it will be so much better than the first half.

Am I the only one who thinks that the children on the other team (the one in space) resemble Dewey's children from Eureka Seven? In obedience as well as looks...

In my opinion* For some reason the first few episodes didnt have that 'spark' (or whatever you would wanna call it) that the original series had. I for one loved the original series and because of that very fact I expected way too much from this sequel. I thought that it would have that same atmosphere that the original had and the effect it conveyed to its viewers, it could literally put you into tears! But the next moment make you LOLOL..

I loved this particular episode because it gave me that 'feeling' again that the original had given me. Or maybe because Eureka's back! haha. Hopefully Bones delivers in giving us fans what we deserve! E7

I just had this realization.. What if.. Eureka does meet Ao.. and maybe Ao didnt reveal himself as the son, but then Eureka is attacked by Truth and sent back in time (thus the footage of Eureka falling from the sky), where Ao will be born. So Ao would have been ironically named after this incident of their meeting. Basically Eureka was sent in a loophole. Maybe Ao tried to save her and get her out... idk it seems possible but crazy.

./Rage quit. IMO, Renton is probably in the other world, unlike how Eureka and the Gecko got transported to Ao's world, but this has many flaws as Eureka doesn't remember Ao and is pregnant atm.

I have to admit the team that is doing this series is doing an awesome job.

I don't know why but everyone's been complaining about one thing or another. And the funny thing is thus far the series has answered your complaints in each following episode. The big complaint from last week (and since the beginning of the series for allot of you fangirls of the the old series) was that no old characters were appearing as you all complained about missing the Gecko.

Will here's your bloody Gecko I hope you enjoy it.

Once again amazing job AO team I've enjoyed every episode thus far, this is for me far better then the original series, keep it up.

They shouldn't have such praise. The majority of the episodes so far were uninteresting, subpar, had boring characters, and etc... In my opinion they needed something like this, to keep fans of Eureka Seven from leaving(god knows I was about to). The series was perfectly fine without this season(no one asked for this), so my expectations are very high.

Man that was intense. Not gonna lie felt like a little school girl when i saw Eureka there. But after reading some posts it does seem to be not the "real" Eureka.

The way she responded to Ao was not how the real Eureka would respond. She wouldn't be like "Oh hey you have blue hair". Should would of been like "AO WEJRFAEWKLJAKLDJACIOJEWR".

Only next week will tell xD

This saved the show completely. The score on MAL has gone down by more than 0.3 points and that is very significant. The show has been a disaster for the most part (I still believe episode 1 was fantastic) but this completely changed the show. With this addition we can enjoy because Gecko brings a completely different dynamic.

The boring characters critique has been brought up many times and this should negate that because the Gecko has great characters. I really want to see the crew back and all their funny antic.

I hope to see Renton and see how much he grown. I really hope he is more cooler and not as annoying like his son. Seriously Ao has been cool in the beginning but now is acting like this dumb brat who thinks he can do anything.

But sadly with 12 episodes left I feel everything will be rushed. With Truth being the main enemy it feels kinda underwhelming how some kid will be the last boss. You really felt the gravity of big the devastation was with Dewey with the Coralion ball and the beams of energy. Truth in all honesty is boring and one dimensional.

Let's see how things play out.

I honestly don't know why people are having such a hard time with the fact that Eureka didn't recognize Ao. Depending on the circumstances it can be hard to recognize a fully grown adult after ten years; Ao was just a toddler the last time she saw him and has gone through some drastic changes since then, it shouldn't be that difficult to grasp that she might not immediately realize it's him five seconds after seeing him. Obviously it's still possible it's not the same Eureka, but trying to use her not recognizing him immediately is not proof for that hypothesis.

Also, New Order was not a recap episode, they just used footage from the series that sort of matched up with the dialogue so that it wouldn't just be voices talking over an empty screen the entire time. The dialogue itself seems to indicate (not to mention most of the rumors I've seen also are of the mind) that it's an alternate ending to the original series, as it is sort of difficult to reconcile it with the ending we got. It might actually be meant to replace the original ending, since as of right now it doesn't make much sense how she could have the Nirvash typeZERO spec2 otherwise.

One more thing I'd like to mention as I've seen several people in this thread confused over the subject, but the Nirvash that Eureka originally appeared in 13 years ago was the Mark I, not the typeZERO. Perhaps this Eureka actually IS Eureka while pregnant with Ao and at the end of the series ends up taking the Mark I back in time to the beginning. Hopefully not as that would be a predestination paradox, but we'll just have to wait and see.

This would be true, except for the fact that the Gekko had the hole in its hull from when Renton busted out with the Spec 3 at the end of the series. I don't see what else could have caused that condition.
