And xenoblade is out tomorrow, im so excited, some people already have it. I actually do have it technically, but im selling it on ebay lol cause its the UK version. I bought it because i wasn't aware that they were even going to release it to the US, but shortly after i bought that game, spent like 80 dollars on it, the US version was localized lol
Thier is only 2 DLC packs, but one of them significantly large and extremely challenging, it really tests your skills to the max. Pretty much a bonus dungino with new dialogue, new story lines and some powerful bosses and of course new items to get, etc.
It is called "seekers of the abyss" all i have to say is GOOD LUCK lol, trying to beat that. In any case the game has a PLETHORA of extra content not including the dlc and im not just referring to the main game, but optional dungeons, super bosses, side quests, mini games, etc. Their is probably like around 8 or so different large optional area's to explore that are mostly all end game content. I got as far as the last area which is the hardest area in the entire game and i got owned like crazy and that is not even the seekers of the deep area.
You pretty much have to master every characters skills and lvls in order to really stand a chance. But the game delivers on bringing you a very nice challenging adventure full of all kinds of stuff to do and the experience is very rewarding, yu know like the time you got master materia in Final fantasy VII, or defeated emerald weapon lol. It is a game you will play quite a while.
Yeah i hear xenoblade is just like lost oddyssey or blue dragon in that it has so much content. Thats one thing i love bout these companies, "mistwalker" and "monolith software" both delivery, they don't screw you over with a half ass game like SE does and later brings a bunch of crap DLC packs. I like a finished product and that is exactly what blue dragon, lost oddyssey, xenoblade and even the newest last story is going to be like.
yeah blue dragon is mostly for fans who appreciate Akira toriyama's character designs, like Dragonball or the dragon quest games. It is kind of an old traditional FF like game, the only difference really is the graphics are a step up. But it still retains those great nostalgic music scores that Nobua umatsu is so great at and the directing from hironobu The story may be centered towards a younger audience, but as you get further, it does become more mature believe it or not, it explores themes of killing, murder, betrayal, revenge, etc.
Lost odyssey is another great game with loads of content, i still have never gotten around to mastering all the DLC, because its like truly hard core. But one of these days ill get around finishing it up.
Might be a little late, but you can't go wrong with "Mistwalker" hironobu saguchi really knows how to cater to his beloved role playing fans, being the original creator of FF and with the greatest composer ever to walk the earth, Uamatsu, Blue dragon and lost oddyssey are MUST HAVES. Trust me on this, im willing to bet those will probably be your most favorite Japanese role playing games on the 360.
It was the first time that i truly experienced a video game in today's generation of consoles, but it retained the original elements of what make jrpgs so popular during the golden era of ps/ps2. In my opinion, its what the industry should of done with rpgs along time ago and worked on innovating them in that style, instead of what rpgs have become today, mostly action heavy and movie like CG.
Blue dragon is a very underrated title i think, thats another one that is absolutely a must have. Full over world to explore, airship travel, traditional turn based combat, and an amazing extensive story line with character design by none other then akira toriyama creator of dragonball.
Lost oddyssey has some of the same magic, accept the graphic style is different of course.
