Shu finally learned to do things his way not the way others do. Proud of you, Shu! <3

Hare x Shu, please. Please, pleaseeee.

It makes sense how Inori's song can heal Lost Christmas Virus since it was a song that started it. I'm still a little lost though.

Who is this new evil guy! D:

Shu doesn't have anything on him, unless he can pull something out of Gai, or they can make another miracle for Shu to escape right now, he will definitely die too.. xD

He has Gai's void (since Gai is a 17 year old...which is complete bs). I don't know what the relationship is between having a void and having the virus, so if you can only have 1 or the other, maybe not.

lol WHAT Gai is 17 LMBO, I thought that guy was in his mid 20's

O_O I thought Gai was older too...

Yeah, Gai's character makes no sense, I'm not saying that ANY of the characters in GC make sense, so don't infer that.

Hes a 17 leader of an organization that blindly follows him into (what should be) suicide missions for no reason other than "He's the leader". How does he manage to have such influence, connections, and funding when hes only 17, enough to fight toe to toe with a despotic government that NOBODY ELSE even thinks of opposing? Why is there not even a hint of mutiny? (no leader has a 100% approval rating)

But the thing I hate the most about Gai is his logic. I'll give a (kinda) brief (slightly exaggerated) timeline.

>>Before the series starts Gai gets a raging hard-on to have the power of kings so he sends Fanservice in to go steal one of only 3 of the most valuable thing the government has (a useless character managed to steal it from -what should have been- a high security facility, with no help other than a deus-ex-macina mecha).
>>So when he has a chance to get what gave him the raging hard-on, he goes completely flaccid during a brief fight and decides to let some fail@life kid keep it.
>>Gai is then pissed and surprised when fail@life gains the power instead of him, so he forces fail@life to help the cause.
>>After causing hundreds of millions of dollars in damage and (probably) killing dozens of people, Gai decides to let bygones be bygones and lets fail@life leave, who now refers to the slaughter of people as "a once in a lifetime adventure" and looks back on it with nostalgia.
>>OH NOES somebody saw the giant battle between FunparxDespotism, he might tell Despotism, we have to find out what he knows and stop him
>>Turns out he knew everything and fail@life figured it out but didn't do anything about it, getting himself captured.
>>"Guess I have to save him, seeing as I'm an invaluable leader, and, OH YEAH, while I'm in the building wearing a fake beard that they will totally be able to recognize me in but won't do anything about it, BLOW THE BUILDING UP, so we can save a serial killer from getting justice."
>>"HOORAY! We saved a serial killer! I'm gonna go meet with some people about something, try to teach fail@life to fight while I'm gone. Oh, and this character is called Kyo, she gets 10 secs of screentime this episode and then I decide to kill her next episode because we are the only 2 people in the world immune to giant lazors from space. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!"
>>"Sup? I'm injured this episode but only when its convenient for character deveopment, when it's not I can kick ass and take Fanservice's blood same as usual.
>>"You know what? I forgot we DON'T HAVE ANY FUCKING FUNDING! So I'm gonna go cause a cruise ship to get attacked by Despotism by telling them exactly what I'm doing and hope to GOD that the only person who can save me, fail@life, and our only possible source of funding as well as hundreds more people from getting blown the fuck up, doesn't decide to get laid instead of being on a boat. Oh and I'm going to woo her and convince her to follow me to an empty part of the boat by insulting her, girls like that sort of thing."
>> "Turns out she DID want to get laid...by ME!...Ummm....what next? I forgOH YEAH! We should go get one of the other 2 power of kings so i can finally get rid of fail@li....what? We can't do that? HES THE MAIN CHARACTER?!?! BULLSHIT! Fine, whatever, I'm gonna go vandalize a shrine or something. Wait this isn't a shrine, this is a secret base of Despotism. I suppose we can vandalize it anyway, so long as they don't have any trained guards or security of any sort.
>>"I'm just gonna set my mind to autopilot for a while since everything is pretty much taking care of itself."
>>"Ok, so an op is goin down, hope missing what lead up to this isn't important. Fail@life, what are you doing? Don't just run, we can't do jack shit w/o you, even though we were perfectly find w/o you before, hell, we didn't even have any funding and we were fine. Why do you fail so much at life, fail@life? I lost the best boner EVER in ep1 and I'm doin just fine. You know what, gtfo. Ok everybody, fail@life is gone, now we can actually do things. So lets go attack Despotism and finish this series."
>>"OH GOD WHY!? I walked straight into that trap and now I'm stuck on a plane. Wtf, wasnt I just on a plane? I can teleport? FUCK YES! About time i got some super powers, I really hope I get to use these teleportation abilities for years to come. Hey, Fanservice, start singing so you can heal this stupid virus from me. Why am I not healing? Everybody else is...is it because I can teleport? Totally worth it. Was that fail@life I just saw running up the building? That asshole, I'm gonna have to teleport to the top of the building and have a little chat with him. Hey fail@liWTF?! OW!!! Why am i bleeding so much? Did i just get killed? Saving fail@life no less...fml."

EDIT: Spelling mostly

This made me laugh so much. Yes, that's right, the plot has so much(because it cannot be counted) plot holes that it's to the point I don't care what happens next sometimes.

I always wanted to know WHY the hell does Gai let Shu do those things and how did he make a terrorist organization at the age of 17, which is complete BS, he looks at least 22. he doesn't even have geass......

Trying too hard to copy Lelouch+Kamina much?

Yeah, I think the only real way that could happen is if his parents were killed by Despotism shortly after Lost Christmas. He was orphaned at the age of 7-9, then either taken in by the man who would later start Funpar, or joined Funpar and the leader decided to take him in. So years later after the original leader has shown Gai everything he knows, he dies during an op trying to save others, but ultimitely fails. So Gai does something to save the rest of Funpar and manages to win their affection/trust.

That would also explain why Kyo even exists, because all she is is a sad attempt to evoke emotion. Hold old was she, like 10? Why would anyone let a 10 year old join a resistance force? Gai was trying to do the same thing with her as what happened to him as opposed to the writers going, "You know what you guys? We should make a character, give him 15 secs of screentime, call him a main character, and then kill him off so our viewers think that anyone could die at anytime and that our scripts aren't written in crayon." "Oh, that sounds great, but we should make him a her, men don't die." "Oh shit, your right, they don't." "Maybe we should make her into a child }:3" "God man, your sick, lets do it."

Yeah... I felt nothing for Kyo, just made me think Gai as an asshole. haha makes sense since woman have such a stricter social costum in Eastern Asia(due to Confucianism most likely, in China you will be shun at if you lost your virginity before marriage and announce it publicly )

That sounds pretty damn forced, it was never explained why the hell Gai is loved by everyone despite doing EXTREMELY risk acts taht will endanger his organization SEVERAL times since the beginning of the series(and who knows how many times before it begun) and be a douche, it just doesn't make sense. Even Lelouch faced large opposition the time he tried to take over.

Damn, everything in this series is forced

Kyo's death, Gai's way of ruling, Inori and Shu's "romance", Daryl's "sad" scene of killing his father...... more to be listed

It has struck me during several episodes that Gai has a Deathwish. It's only a matter of time before the AV taskes his life. He didn't just want the Void Genome for it's power to draw voids, but because it would stop the advance of the AV, if not cure it. Without the Void Genome, Gai wants to die in a Blaze of Glory, hence his solution to the falling Kill Sat. Doing this will inspire Funeral Parlour to continue on.

Unfortunately, there is no one to take his place. Kenji Kido, might be able to step up, but how many FP members trust him like they do Gai? At a couple of points, I thought that Gai might be preparing Shu to become his replacement. Then, I came to senses. Gai has done nothing but Manipulate and Use Shu. When Shu was having his Heroic BSOD, Gai couldn't be bothered and interrupted Ayase's attempt to reach/help Shu.

"Indeed. But I think you misunderstand. I am not here to keep the darkness out. I'm here to keep it in." Hope not. Since the next episode is supposed to be, in part, a Flashback Episode, giving us much needed back story. Things might get better, story and plot wise, with what will be revealed in the Flashback. Then again, we shouldn't hold our breaths.

So you are saying Gai is trying to make a failure of his organization?

Shu should've killed Gai by episode 6 to take over :p or not actually... But I think people may trust Shu is he demostrates himself in someway

Not really, Not intentionaly. But with what we saw in episode 10, before the start of the mission, Gai appears to be very aware of his own mortality and that it will be soon be impossible to hide his condition from Funeral Parlour and those supporting it. He may be seeking Death on the Battlefield before the AV leaves him like Jun and those others at the Clinic from episode 4.

As I said before, I suspect that part of Gai's reason for wanting the Void Genome, is that he believed that it could stop the spread of the AV in his body, if not Cure it. With it, he gains a new lease on life, God like powers and is one step closer to his true goal. Without it, he's facing a slow death, eventual loss of his Leadership of Funeral Parlour and his goals go unfullfilled, someone else takes his place.

Speaking of which, WHAT is his goals anyways? Free Japan from soverign rule? Eh......
I am not sure how attempting terrorist attacks to obtain super powerful weapons will get you closer to your goal. You should really, really, focus on uniting the people into a resistance.

Even Science Fiction has to have explanation for it to not appear nonsensical. And here, is exactly what it did, nothing was explained on WHY Inori's singing cured the disease, just felt like a bad reason for the Seiyuu to sing again......

For now, it is "STUPID," do not suggest just because it's not real it doesn't have to make any logical sense again.

Love this episode especially when they go to where Inori is and he used each of his friend's voids to get there. Plus wallrun ftw!

Well the only thing thats off to me is where Yahiro comes back and is all "This is what you can do right?" while smiling at Shu before he uses his void. So did this guy just forgive him out of the blue? He did seem mad at Shu, but helps him near the end of the episode. wtf? Unless this guy is planning to back stab again.

Sucks about Gai though I liked Gai, but I doubt he will die just yet.

We got a hint at his goal in episode 10, when meeting with the Prez's Grandfather. He, Gai, wants to be reunitited with a woman, presumably the Girl that Inori resembles, the one from Shu's memories. 'Mana'. Who may be the 'Queen', Keido and Eyebrows were talking about. Also, depending on who his father is... Gai may want revenge against him as well.

DAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how dare you point a gun to a woman!
GAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i told you can't leave you alone!

this was a good episode! if it was a 13 episode series it would've end up completely stopping GHQ and killing Keido and Scarface.

But now we get another player... and that player is a void user too and have the power to teleport or maybe its just another void he pulled out that allows him to go anywhere like a magic door... hmmm with Gai dead as well as Dan... i wonder if it'll still be as good.

Love the song, Dan punching Scarface, Shu making a team that gives him good weapons, Daryl spamming bullets on the GHQ HQ. but i guess its always like that... the main heroin always end up doing things too late..

well you can support it i wont judge, im just saying personally i cant get into it cause i know it wont go anywhere cause i think shes dead meat, gai is too but that is obvious at this point,

I highly doubt Gai is going to die here. Hare happy void can repair anything from the looks of it, so i'm sure Shu will use it to save Gai. It's predictable and cliche, but what are you going to do.

it wont happen, im calling it, they will make some BS excuse to not use hare's powers,

besides ide rather they kill him off so the show will have a interesting plot point from t rather than they pussy out and them continuing with this character's existence and the show staying exactly the same

Guilty Crown is kind of like what happens when you inflate a balloon to full size in front of a big crowd of people, then fat finger it when you're tying it and the balloon ends up flying off in some random direction, rapidly deflating, and making that oh-so-juicy farting noise. The crowd then disperses in collective disappointment, and you just look like an ass.

Saying Guilty Crown needs Gai alive is like saying Gurren Lagann needs Kamina alive. He's a major supporting character for the main character's progress, then their death will be a big shock and a wake up call for the main character. Towards the end of the anime the main character will begin growing into the "older brother" character who died towards the beginning/middle. Makes sense to me.

Firstly, that's a terrible spoiler for those have not seen Gurren Lagann. And please, don't compare TTGL to clusterfucks like Guilty Crown.
I definitely have superpowers. I can feel it in my balls.

I agree with Karhu.

The main characters in TTGL were best friends, whereas GC they really have no reason to like each other aside from what the anime has forced in terms of character development, most of which is just Gai obviously manipulating fail@life. Thrusting those 2 into the spotlight and completely ignoring all the great side characters such as spiky haired guy and the buff one, whose only role is to shoot a gun every other episode when they could easily be interchangeable with fail@life in terms of morale support to Gai. Which would make more sense because they have stood by Gai in battle and risked their lives together, which forms a strong brotherly bond. Fail@life, not so much.

I'm starting to think since episode 10 that the girl with orange hair is Shu's sister after that dream in that episode. On the other side I also think there's some connection between the orange hair girl and Inori, they stated something like that in one of the first few episodes. After seeing episode 10 I thought that maybe there would have been some kind of genetic transportation as with Jun's virus thingy invading into Daryl's Endlave, but that would mean that's it's some kind of incest-like since Inori likes Shu in a love-like way, so that is very unlikely.
But now it's getting even more confusing with the person that's taking the void out of Inori.
Also seeing the girl with orange hair in the ending in that Christmas outfit was very nice.

Ok time for my Lengthy post that I promised.(Thought probably no one remember/cares)

So, the plot so far is this. Ouma Shu, the son of Ouma Haruka, a key researcher in the so called "apocalypse Virus"(true nature still unknown), in the post apocalypse Japan after overtaken by the international organization know as GHQ. the GHQ has a unit known as the Anti-bodies, known for their cruelty and jurisdiction to kill any person they deem inflicted with the virus.

A Terrorist organization, headed by a 17 year old for unknown reasons(CODE GEASS!!! this makes me mad) tries to obtain one of the 3 only "Void Genome", But some how Shu obtains it instead. So, he is some what dragged into joining Funeral Parlor, the organization. They operate for a few episodes, do a bunch of shit. And uses his friend's genes to steal stuff for Funeral Parlor. Though this sounds interesting, all I saw was action and not reasons WHY they were doing all of this. By the clamax, a former Colleague of Shu's father steals something before Funeral Parlor. This is followed by their next missions, and Shu's father's colleague, the head of Anti-bodies, releasing the virus through a SONG?(What.) then turning a bunch of people into crystal(?? True nature of this virus still yet to be confirmed.), sending them to the sky. This is followed by Inori, the "main heroine" singing and magically stops the disease. Then a Guy, with Void Genome, takes the void out of Inori who possibly has the genome to increase other genomes' powers.

By the end, we are left with 10 times more questions than the beginning of the series unanswered and not giving a damn about Inori, Funeral Parlor(except maybe a few) members, Gai, or ANY other characters besides MAYBE Shu due to how much he angers the audience over the course of the series. And this is all hated by "fans" due to it's initial hype.

That is what I concluded, this show is such a disappointment, I will watch, but GET YOUR FUCKING ACT TOGETHER PRODUCTION I.G.!!!

First of all i believe lots of anime storylines are similiar to each other and just by saying it is similiar to another anime makes it bad is a big no no for me.
Secondly the song that turns people into crystal is a concept, an idea like deathnote with its ablility to kill whoever's name is written on it, therefore it would be wrong to say its random.

I do agree we a left with more questions but if you see the trailer for ep 12 it is most probably a flashback episode which i believe would answer some questions.

Lastly "Shu due to how much he angers the audience over the course of the series" I beg to differ, If you are only basing this accusation on this website then i have nothing to say. However from other sites which i saw a lot of people understand shu's behaviour and why he does these stuff and theres no hate towards him. Even the directors said they are trying to make characters more realistic instead of it kicking ass like most animes do.

agreed but use spoiler tags, also people need to chill the fuck out over GC, i mean come on that kahru guy got offended off of a comparison that is very well founded thats just out of hand like really

though i hope and know GC will go down this path cause its already happened, gai wont make it through the next episode and shu will try to replace him and man up to this moment

also shu wont survive the series, im calling it
