An episode about trying to stay original and true to yourself and your craft, whether it be film making or alcohol brewing. Some of the lengthy whiskey talk goes over my head, but it got it's point across.

Now I know what blend means on a whiskey bottle. I always thought those whiskeys were to be used for mixing, or with coffee... ^^

My thoughts exactly.
Nice episode anyway.

Loved the episode, mostly because they talked about my favourite whiskies: Ardbeg, Laphroaig, Lagavulin (all Islay malts). The story itself wasn't that interesting but this show is all about the style and mood anyway. I guess if you like single malts this episode is much better.

Yeah, probably my least favorite so far. At least the dialogues were decent enough to the ears somewhat.

The most interesting episode in the show. The arthouse feel worked well with the filmmakers and their debate.

The Aberdeen-Angus cocktail was a great choice: a good blend of drinks, with a burning core. It nicely reflects filmmaking: it doesn't matter how you direct or write the film, if you're passionate about it the fire will show and light up your work.

Yeah the whiskey talk did kind get a little long-winded for people like me that don't know anything about alcohol in general, but the main message was received. I think everyone can relate with this question: "Does growing up mean comprising with reality and continually losing your passion?" It's hard not to feel this way. But they wrapped it up nicely with, "as long as we don't extinguish the flame of passion, we can start something new again today." Thinking about the problem won't get you anywhere, and perhaps make you more jaded, but as long as you still have that passion, you just need to start doing something rather than just brooding.

Very wordy and quite the hoop jumping to get to the core message. Worst episode to me personally but I understood the aim it was going for.

The message behind the episode is great. However, the episode itself was really boring. Now I completely understand that the show is aimed at people who drink and are particular about their liquor. As someone who doesn't drink or care about liquor, this show isn't really my cup of tea. I'm gonna try to finish it, though since there are only 5 episodes left.

Decent episode, wasn't outright bad or good and I think half of the scenes were already gone from my mind right after watching them. The riddle thing was a major ass-pull, but that seems to be the norm because none of the clients in this show seem to be able to talk openly until they've had one or a few drinks in them.

It's barely emotional, but it's another beautiful episode on rekindling our passion.

It started about the clash of ideas between the director-screenwriter duo. And we also get some history lessons regarding the annexation of Scotland by England, that the history of whiskey do tell stories of what took place back in the day.

I laughed a bit on the allusion to the Highlander with its 'there can be only one' but this might be coincidence.

Oh yes, that was cinema... and they managed to speak about it through whisky when it comes to success originality blending ideas failures etc, which actually worked.

we all have those bad days sometimes and put all our frustrations to others and wants to apologize but don't know how instead we over analyze our actions and the situation. Good thing he waited and apologize properly to her.

about marriage, didn't expect the bartender to serve such meaningful drink
