| I understand where she's coming from, but I think his wife was overreacting a bit. they should have lied and said that they loved his music, but I suppose the cultural gap was too great to understand that they were breaking their "ultimate weapon". |

She spends all her time worrying about what others think more than her husband, and and spends all her time bitching about everything he does good or bad. Ugh... And then he gets the reality check about what is really going on in space, and he loses his all meaning in his playing...which I completely understand too. Man so in other words I was feeling sorry for him the entire time. |

| being an older ex music band member and guitar player, i can understand exactly whats going on. Musicians want to hear how much you love their music. After years of living an empty life, he finds some reason to live again. Playing guitar ignited a passion he hasn't felt in years. But that fire, only recently reignited, is easy to put out. When he found out his playing wasn't actually impressing them, it crushed him. Just like the new song, it wasnt for him so it was without heart. When he tried playing the old music, it didnt work anymore because he lost his passion to play. If someone ever makes you listen to their song, just tell them you like it. No real opinion or suggestions, trust me ;) |

| Yo'ko is less of a load than some people seem to think she is; Japanese society is very conformist and Oji is firstly opening her up to ridicule from the other housewives and secondly and more importantly, endangering his chances at promotion in the company; they live in a company dorm and gossip about him being weird will spread from wives to husbands and among the husbands at work. If he doesn't get promoted and make more money, how can they move from a tiny apartment to a house where their family will have more room? It's OK for now since Gen is so small he needs to be watched constantly but that's going to change in just a few years. Information from multiple episodes is coming together. |
