Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

| Izumiko's mom was pretty cool, as was the true Masumi. The whole scene was pretty cool actually. I still don't like the Izumiko x Sagara pairing and probably won't, but that's a matter of opinion. Well considering that the 'real' trial is still to come and this time they had the help of Izumiko's mother, it feels this is a little slow. |

There might be a re-shuffling of events too as compared to the novel. ^^ The festival might be the penultimate arc, as it is where the world heritage stuff will be decided. I think, if they'll end with a cliffhanger or what, they might make an OVA or a BD/DVD special ep whatever. |

I absolutely loved Miyuki's little jealousy pout about her taste in men. (And it does stand to reason that she would like that kind of guy, if the familiar that she created looked like that...) |

I'll add that for me, this is spellbinding stuff. I'm very glad with the casting choices they made for this show. In addition to her wonderful singing of the ED again this episode, Izumiko is a joy to listen to. I like the ED every episode but those with her singing are a little more special. Offhand, I'm impressed with all the performances that I can think of. I'm left wondering why Masumi/Manatsu asked her to go out with him. I liked how she responded this time. On a side note, I can't really remember the details but I have this recollection of Wade Davis being interviewed on CBC and talking amongst other things, about shamans; about how they go off to do battle with the spirits that challenge and bedevil their people. While Izumiko is not really like the people he described, there is something about her, or this world, that reminds me of that story. It really came out in this episode. I think that when this series is over, I'm going to have to look for a book on Japanese mythology. It looks like a pretty rich subject to explore. |
| In the end they are throwing new names in and it is still confusing as hell. Izumiko's mother felt like deus ex machina for that situation. I thought this would be great episode but it felt meeh after all. |

| Hmmmmmmmmmmm at Miyuki's question at the end. It was really interesting to see Wamiya teamed up with Miyuki as well and oooh so Izumiko's mom is still the vessel. Liking all the developments here and Shiyumi's explanation made it all the better. |

| I must say, this series has beautiful visuals. Really gorgeous stuff!! Otherwise, it's kind of boring sometimes and confusing as fack. Miyuki and Izumiko are adorable, just sayin. |

| Oh Mayura, you are such a sister. Silly Izumiko, Himegami doesn't have an on/off button. So, you must dance in order to open a rock. And in that rock lies a giant snake spirit. And Yukariko, in Himegami form, manages to put giant snake spirit to sleep. Miyuki is so jealous. He also has cool wings, even though those are Wamiya's. Speaking of Wamiya, he's connected to Takayanagi somehow. A few things got a bit clearer and some things were explained. I am now less confused. |

| Well, one of my favorite character in this series is Masumi. :) And this episode was good.. and it was very thrilling when the goddess appeared. |

| That was an awesome episode. The only thing I didn't like about it is the fact that the black wings turned out not to be actual power of Sagara No, actually there's one thing more, that I didn't like. Was it just implied that Izumiko doesn't like Sagara? |

| So, I looked into some Shinto mythology. This episode kind of reminds me of the legend of Amaterasu, the sun goddess. She hid herself in the heavenly rock cave sealed with a giant rock because she was frustrated with her brother (in this case it could be Manatsu who gets into a fight with Mayura). Then Ama-no-Uzume, goddess of the dawn (Izumiko?) danced in front of the rock getting Amaterasu's attention so she came out. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with that. I am probably wrong, since I don't know much about Shinto folklore. ^_^; Maybe it is based off of another folktale? I'm not sure what the white dragon means. . . |
