| Damn they won. Now we won't get yuri action lol. Btw this pirates gather ships like it nothing. Turan should have hired them earlier. They would have had a lot more ships and avoided defeat if they did so. I still don't get what the hell is happening with the empire. Is that dude taking advantage of the authority given to him by that child empress for his own agenda or is he really faithful in his own way? And in the end what to they want? To just conquer all so they can bring piece by creating only one nation and extinguishing future conflicts or to they simply want to kill all the people they think don't belong in this planet. Are they going threw all that war and killing because they believe they fight for a higher peaceful purpose that will deserve the sacrifices or are they just doing an extermination? |

I think Luscinia believes he's doing the right thing but is being manipulated somehow. He clearly knows info that the other generals aren't privy to. |

| Yes, the end of the race, combined with the juxtaposition of Luscinia's "police" action, had me on the edge of my seat. Hmm. I got the impression that woman knew exactly who Millia was before the three of them (Millia, Fam and Gisey) walked into her lair. |

I don't know Japanese but it seemed that way...:/ As much as Fam had a right to be disappointed that her comrades didn't bet on her and Gisey, Gisey's expression as Millia was congratulating Fam (but not Gisey?) I'm sure was the realization that Fam didn't seem to realize just how much the script writers favor her lucky they were, and that Fam is getting to cocky. Much as I liked the episode, I'm really disappointed Fam was willing to offer up Millia as her part of the bet. |

There was an interview with Yuuki Aoi (Giselle's seiyuu) on the official website that touched on Giselle's relationship with Fam and Millia a bit. The interview has since been taken down, unfortunately, but it was explained that while Giselle respects Millia, she feels somewhat distant from her. I doubt it's simply jealousy as Giselle's feelings are probably more complicated than that, but she doesn't exactly share the same vision as Fam on how to restore Millia to the throne. It's like when Lavie got angry at Claus toward the middle of the old series for forgetting the reason they became vanship pilots in the first place, except Giselle has a quieter personality and doesn't necessarily show her disapproval. Luscinia is twisting Farahnaz's vision for peace, whatever that may be since it hasn't been revealed yet, for his own purposes. The scene where the nobility were talking while Luscinia was walking through the hall directly hints that he somehow has made Sara believe that this is all for the sake of fulfilling her mother's dream. I have a feeling Vasant may have an important role to play later, especially after revealing her true background. |

| @arsonal: Interesting. I can really see Giselle fits in that. As for Vasant, if anything I would say she is the only hope Sara can have when Luscinia reveals his true purpose. I can also see that latter on Sara is going to run around with Fam's group and finally see how the outside world really like compare to the one she believed and heard from the others. Well everything is still remain to be seen and we have seen too little plot. I hope they are picking up a little so this won't end up like last season. |

| This episode reminds me so much of episode 9 and 10 of Last Exile because of the same elements, the vanship race with other important events happening on the background. On Last Exile, Claus and Lavie were in an eight-hour endurance race while Alex Rowe is on a black market auction for Exile artifact. In this series, Fam and Giselle were in a two hour vanship race while Luscinia seems to be cleaning out the Ades nobility. And finally, on both cases, the protagonists won by lightening their vanships on the last leg of the race. |

| I liked this episode alot, but one thing that is getting on my nerves is how much on an idiot Fam is. She isn't that great of a pilot, I mean she says "Yes, she took the bait" right in front of the women she's trying to con and didn't even whisper it. Then in last episode when they steal the ships she is talking about how she remembers the creep when they are trying to be low key. I mean how much of a fucking idiot can you be to act like that, especially when you are supposed to be undercover both times getting ships. They make all the other characters look like idiots that they don't even realize what is going on when its dreadfully obvious with this fuckhead blurting something out every couple seconds about their identities -_-. |
| The race was a rather bland imitation (too little time and lacked excitement), but the rest was good, the hook thing at the end too. I wonder if Luscinia's phrase about blood relates somehow to the princess having blood on her hands in the OP. Somehow related to the Exile, it seems.
