Taito using his severed arm as a weapon was just *wipes eyes* freaking hilarious! I was LOL-ing the entire time partly because of that and the rest is because of my very rare caffeine consumption.
Oh god Mirai. Like, go to hell already. Why choose a character like that with Gekkou? She destroys Gekkou's hotness a bit.
Well Himea's hair is quiet funky. If only hair would dazzle like that and no, glitters are a disaster.
Oh love the OP and I am gussing the song from the PV will be used in a battle sequnce in the later episodes. Hope they do that. Music+action (specically mecha <3)= *.*

You know, you need more than FukuJun to be Lelouch. Using his name for a minor/cliche character is preposterous. Well yes, not a big deal but his name is used too often. People needs to believe it already that we might never get another Lelouch. An eminent and a beautiful character.

When I was watching this episode, suddenly Zero voice came out of nowhere wth is that?

Would have been a good episode if the ending didn't go "Oh yes he didn't die."

Wow! So you're telling me the anime skipped that entire story? And here I thought it was due to the simple explanation of "15 minutes have passed just in time for him to revive".

Why did they skip all that?!

Btw Andou in the manga looks a lot older.

Chill out friend! OK, This happens much later than where they are in the chapters of this anime so it can explained as a flashback. No need to freak out. The possibility is quite there if you think how much episode are left.
DesolateOne said:

Did they it because it would look stupid to suddenly put this in. I say flashback is going to explain that.

Also WTF, they don't say what is the price and who can revive him. Well, I think it could be the Lord of the Dead in Hell but who knows who did it. Samael might be able too being the brother angel who has fallen of Azrael that is the angel of death, he can do it most likely.

Anyone have the LN that can tell in more details the manga part?

Is there anything in this Anime that isn't overly cliche?
I mean i seen this kind of stuff happen 10000 times before absolutely nothing is original.
Two narcissist bastards fighting each other a overly happy girl being a servant a girl who is head over heels for a boring main character who doesn't die and has a big mouth not to mention his typical attitude which you pretty much see in almost every boring shounan anime out there.
And i bet that next week we will get the jealous male classmates part and shocked childhood friend thing.

I didn't really liked this episode... there's no plot so far? I mean Hinata (if that's his name) has been defeated or it looks like it... so what are they supposed to do except being ordered around by Gekkou? I don't really see why everyone likes this anime so much, it's pretty cliché and mediocore... But I hope it'll become more interesting next episode cauz the anime has potential

If there is one thing about this episode is Gekkou EPIC! My favorite has to got to be of when he stab Hinata with his sword in the following,

now that was lovely! Splendid! Magnificent beyond anything! For what that shit Hinata do as means to an end is RAGE! Not acceptable plainly in my religious beliefs. You got love Gekkou's stance while charging towards Hinata and that stab wound in the spoiler
unfortunately that was certainly not enough as Hinata's body disappears and is projected outwards through a ball.

OK, Taito gets a brawny point for saving Gekkou in the spoiler

However don't think I will forget nor forgive Himea's slutty way to getting Taito and don't think Himea will be of any drama nor tears being for her. Nor think I will have any sympathy for a vampire slut just like Mina was. Oh man if I were in the thread of “Dance in the Vampire Bund” I would so bitch at Mina Tepes many times.

I find that Hinata's spider suddenly sent out a mini ultima spell and Taito was cool for being all in fire to disintegrate Hinata in the spoiler
Unfortunately that was far not enough and Taito gets super holed with a laser type weapon. Well I do admit that Hinata finger pointing and up close appearance wise has his charms but I still hate him!Taito doing his serious speech here made me want to punch him somewhat. Mainly probably due to it being for Himea whom I don't like. Still that was one heck of a #2 disintegration of Hinata in the spoiler
now that was satisfying. Once again Hinata tries to escape with that orb but this is where my second favorite with Gekkou comes as follows,

now that was kick ass! Especially that sword going through orb and the orb dissipating into heavens. While I am somewhat baffled at why all this turned the moon into the same color as the orb? I wonder. More later.

And lol, the OP is like one big Saitohimea fanservice scene. Oh Zexcs.
No surprise there, I have investigated the differences with the manga and not Himea is being emphasized for ecchi but lots of things. Like Oosran said from last episode "I do not approve the fan service in this series" Well I don't either, although the gore is fine.
Oosran said:
Starting the episode off with this flashback. Good. Would've been terribly bad if they skipped it.
Well that's good and the manga does that too so I suppose this following the manga is somewhat good.
Oosran said:
See, it wasn't Gekkou. ( ¬‿¬)
Yeah I know it's his fucking stupid evil twin and I know all about Gekkou and his twin. His twin brother is a sick shit bastard in the manga who sacrificed as a means for him to gain powers and he has to do it all every set number of years. If there is someone to hate more than Himea for me is Gekkou's brother.

With respect to Himea, you really have to understand her past in order to sympathize with her character. What's been shown up until this point can't even be called the tip of the iceberg; and quite honestly, given what she's been through, she could have turned out a hell of a lot worse than she did.

When all's said and done, Himea suits being a tragic heroine more so than anything else. Of course my being a fan of her character, I've never once considered her to be a slut nor will I.

Moving onto Hinata, I definitely agree with you in that he's a bastard, though what the anime showed scarcely gave you any real reason to hate him by comparison to the manga and LN. One who would sacrifice what he did in the way that he did deserves to burn.

Hatsudo said:
Though lacking in fan service, im more interested in the story and how it will unfold, i got high hopes for this series. Taito is a badass being all immortal and what not. (even though he dies if he gets killed 7 times)

...This is lacking in fan service? x.X

Well, I'm absolutely against Itsu-Ten having any kind of fan service, as both the manga and LN didn't have any, but whatever. If you're honest about being more interested in the story, as you rightfully should be IMHO, I'd highly recommend checking out both the manga and LN. In terms of story and development, it's leaps and bounds above what the anime has given.

Given what's been shown, I can understand that theory or that Taito's "time" reset itself at exactly the last moment (a bit on the cheesy side, but it would still have been workable), but that's not what happened. If Himea had some means of saving Taito even when he really did die, there would've been no reason for her to have been so upset it.

Without giving away anything too specific, it's really thanks to Gekkou that Taito's still alive.

*Taito is dying on the ground*
Himea: I LOVE YOU, TAITO!
Evil dude: I am so much more powerful that you! You will never beat me! I am so strong and powerful, I don't even need my weapons to beat you! I will give you 3 options because I am so strong and pity you. Did I mention I was strong and powerful? *Lists 3 options*
Himea: I LOVE YOU, TAITO! I will choose option A to save you!
Taito: No! I will not take any of those options. I choose D and I will defeat you with this giant laser light beam from my hand which has magically created itself! I don't know how or why I can do this, but I can! *Impales Evil dude*
Himea: I LOVE YOU, TAITO!
Evil dude: O crap! I've been beaten! You cannot possibly be this strong... *fades into darkness* I'll be back to kill you!
Himea: *stares at Taito with his waist and legs missing* I LOVE YOU, TAITO!
----- Later at school ----
Himea: I LOVE YOU, TAITO!
Taito: Somehow, even after the viewers have been told that I would die permanently after my sixth death within the magical 15 minutes, I am alive! Why are you here Himea?
Himea: I LOVE YOU, TAITO!

____________
That about sums up how corny the whole thing is and how annoying Himea is.

Yeah but slut as in selfish to use Taito as a means to hide her power in an end to have someone all the time with her to love and do whatever. Problem is that I don't like that and I am pro religious , which usually means if I don't like something evil I go against it. "D" is one example of that but of which I liked.

I see, you have a point with Himea's emotional state but that is actually lame considering she it to be a super magic user of immense power.

I don't follow the novel but basing at the manga. This was seriously rushed especially the battle since in the manga, they planned and figured out first how Hinata kept surviving despite their attacks. Didn't explain shit and lacked Hinata, Mirai and Gekkou's backstory.

Does that make Kuro Usagi the Dragon Crisis of the season? I don't see it moving a lot of BDs on ecchi alone, there's some fierce competition on this front this season.

I must confess I really like Taito's power: the whole "I can die and get better" thing makes him look like some C-team Marvel Comics character, specially when he gets all explody. Lots of lolz potential there.

Barely average. Honestly speaking, I think we are all tired of the same old story again...

12 episodes? It would have had potential if it was 24.... That's why I prefer Sacred Seven to this.... since it looks like Sacred Seven is going to be longer than 12....

FukuJun voicing Taito would've been bad. It would've been fine if he voiced Gekkou, but Taito's character is just completely wrong for FukuJun. It would just be plain odd.

And no, you didn't really miss anything. It's just that they didn't explain anything yet.

I enjoyed the second episode even more than the first! I hope they explain how Taito's still alive despite dying for the seventh time. Maybe Himea gave up some of her own immortality to give him a "1-up". I'm sure we'll find out next week.

The animation is gorgeous, probably the best on TV right now. The plot and characters are all derivative as hell--Gekkou is Haruhi crossed with Sasuke--but it's fun and it's pretty, and there's cute catgirl fanservice. What's not to love?

Haven't noticed any censoring in the second episode, but there were two sunbeam occurrences in the first one though.

Anyway.
I'm tempted to rewatch these two episodes in order to count the number of times they say "Taito!" or "Himeaaa". :D
Like someone said on the first page, I feel sad for Haruka as she doen't stand a chance against Himea. Look at her on the series' MAL page, they even (partially) put her in the upper right corner of the picture, looking away and sad. She looks like a really sweet girl, and her support over all those years will go to naught because of Taito's summer crush of 9 years ago. I mean, I like Himea, but yeah... :(

About Himea, why didn't she fight against Hinata? She just sat there, looking at how Taito got beaten up. She's supposed to be the stronger one, isn't she?
What I'm also wondering is how old she actually is? She can manipulate her body to look younger or older, so I doubt she was only six at the time. Does that make her a shotacon? 8D
Taito's one of those guys that swear to protect the girl while she could stand her own ground. Stop trying to act all cool and macho, dude, you're the weak one here, you only got that power 5 minutes ago.

Beams up to the sky, magic circles everywhere... and no one saw it besides them. :') I do hope we'll get an explanation about Taito's mysterious survival though. I bet Himea sacrificed her powers so he could live!

Oh, and I love the girls' hair!

Wow, I'm impressed with how close the anime adapted much of the same events (mostly, the fights) that happened in the manga's chapter 6, 7 and 8, even chapter 8's epilogue! (Yes, episode 2 of the anime is already equivalent to chapter 6, 7 and 8 in the manga) Granted, I haven't read the light novel, but to me it felt as if many of the events in the manga came to life with the anime's adaptation. Both the manga and the anime felt really rushed, though.

Like in the manga, it wasn't exactly shown how Taito came back to life. The only thing I know for sure, is that he did not revive due to his power, but due to something else. As for that, I don't know exactly how. Most likely, it will be explained in later episodes and chapters. Only the light novel readers would know for sure.

Also, they cut out the parts where after the fight with Hinata, how the four of them (including Taito's burnt body) became allies under Gekkou's leadership, the scene where the homeroom teacher introduced Himea to the class and when Mirai barged into the classroom before Gekkou appeared in front of Taito. Not very important scenes, I know, but it wouldn't have hurt to see those animated too. (Then again, those scenes might not have happened in the original LN) For the parts they did animate, they did great.
