Hitting 6 of the plants was too much... They were only aiming at the capital...

Going for the big finish is good and all but there wasn't enough build up nor was the reaction reasonable...

Destroying one, caused a war but six... I must have missed something.

Wow...fuck that dude. That only breeds more hatred. It's like Lacus said, when someone is attacked, they retaliate, and then it happens over and over again. Looks like no one learned from that last big war, although I guess it's really not Durandal's fault since he wasn't the one to start the war, but his plan utilizes the war that's happening, and his plan sucks too.

I wonder what's the bigger tragedy. Junius 7 or this incident? 6 Plant colonies gone in the blink of an eye. Djibril is such a evil twisted man, there's no way he's going to escape now.

I feel sorry for Durandal. Even if his plan might not be perfect he undoubtedly loved his people and wanted to bring about a world of peace for them. It was rare to see him so angry after Januarius and December were destroyed.

Exactly, as much as Durandal needs to be stopped, Djibril the racist prick coward rat bastard son of a bitch just wiped out SIX colonies. Djibril and his racist cronies Blue Cosmos need to be eradicated.

Then we'll worry about Durandal.

The heroes were too busy protecting Orb from total destruction. Shinn is a lunatic, he would have destroyed the entire nation because.... Well, without any reason, he would destroy it since he's lunatic. Guess they just didn't expect Djibril to escape in the middle of the battle.

It's pretty heart breaking to see that beam cut through the PLANTs. How many people lived there?

I'm ready for Durandall to be stopped, but I agree they should probably worry about the giant death laser of mass destruction first. Lol

This so much.

Between the flu and fucking Ebola I'm sorry but I'm choosing the flu anyday. Durandal is clearly the lesser of the two evils so why are we making such a big deal out of him while fucking Djibril is destroying Earth cities and space colonies left and right?

To be fair the heroes were busy protecting Orb (which would have suffered major casualties if they hadn't since Yuna and his dad gave no evacuation order), and Cagalli did try her hardest to find Djibril and prevent him from going to space once she assumed command again. If anyone actually protected him it's definitely the Seiran family.

Djibril: Wipes out 6 colonies. Millions dead.

Kira: We must stop the Chairman and his evil plan to bring world peace.

I think this is the biggest atrocity in the series thus far. AFAIK Junius 7 was just one single colony that got nuked, whereas the laser hit multiple colonies.

Nobody disputes that Djibril is evil and should be stopped. Everyone is on the same page about that. The heroes discussing Durandal are stuck on Earth ATM. ZAFT are up in space and will almost certainly kill Djibrill before the Archangel gets to him so there is little point talking about going after Djibrill.

What people are afraid of what is about to come right after. Durandal revealed his true disposition when he attacked Orb and killed thousands of innocents trying to get one guy. Even if Orb refused to hand him over there were more tactful ways he could have gone about it.

The show doesn't bring it up directly, but it seems like Durandal allowed Djibril to escape. As established in season 1, ZAFT has orbital supremacy and should be able to intercept anything launching from the planet. The Moon should have also been besieged/blockaded by ZAFT forces for most of season 2. Djibril somehow slipping past two seperate blockades and making it to the Alliance's base on the Moon is rather unbelievable... unless he was allowed to do so. Durandal might have been counting on Djibril firing the laser at the PLANTs to create a new atrocity in recent memory and emotional anger that Durandal can capitalize on when announcing his Destiny plan (as the nukes aimed at the PLANTs at the beginning of the season didn't hit and that was a long time ago so they're not a fresh, strong memory in people's minds.

Sunrise's first official, unofficial Gundam AU, Dragonar was refreshing in that instead of having a death star laser, it went with a mass driver that flicked rocks at space colonies and little shepherd boys.

Djibril is a monster and he must be stopped, after that they can think about Durandal, evil but lesser evil between the two.

Nice job archangel, you protected the genocidal war criminal and allowed him to escape into space and destroy 6 PLANTs killing millions. I dont know why this show wants me to think they're the good guys. All the archangel has done in this war is show up and cause problems. I know they were trying to protect orb, but the fact of the matter still stands that orb protected him even if this was Jona's doing. Lacus gives some stupid speech that ultimately says nothing of substance. To add insult to injury, the archaengel crew barely acknowledges the slaughter and is like "we need to stop the chairman!!!", no bitch, you need to go stop the genocidal maniac you protected. ZAFT are the only guys in this.

guess orb shouldn't have protected djibril if they didnt want ZAFT to invade them. just a thought.
