Wonderful episode. A lot happened, the plans of Industria are revealed (which is basically the funding of warfare), Lana is saved, is captured again and is saved/kidnapped once again by the captain. It was hilarious watching the captain in the robot suit with that ridiculous form xD

Well I don't know if it's really Industrias plan or only Lepka's. I doubt the committee also plans to use it for warfare, they seemed like okay guys to me.
But I knew Dyce would become one of the good guys sooner or later, but it happend earlier than I thought.
I probably regret this post by now.

I'm glad Lana didn't lose spirit when Lepka threatened Conan. I hate it when hostage situations like that work, as if it displays the hero's morality and not utter stupidity.

Now that Dyce took Lana, I imagine Conan will ally with Monsley to get her back. It'll be cool to see how or if he changes due to whatever civic training.

He probably will be, but his intentions were pretty selfish if you ask me. It sounded as though he didn't want Lepka to have all the glory, though he did say he didn't like using the weapons for war. It's hard to say, I guess. I quite like his character though.

I think hes going to turn out like Dola from Castle in the Sky.

That Lepka guy is a bad man... I have to wonder if all of the leaders of Industria agree with his plans, or if he's just using Industria to achieve his goal.

Glad to see Dyce fighting against him, though. I also liked the disguse he used to rescue Lana (or kidnap her, so it seems).
I'm still not sure if Dyce is supposed to be a good guy or not, he seems like he's acting with good intentions, but mostly for his own self-interest. In any case, he's an interesting character.

I hope Conan gets re-united with the rest of them next episode, though. It'd be a shame if the next few episodes were just Conan & Jimsy searching for wherever Dyce took Lana (unless other interesting stuff happens along the way).

Conan's a freaking beast!! Pulling himself up on a ledge by his toes, piggybacking Lana across the tower with no handgrips and that huge jump had me wincing.

His ridiculous feats kill any tension. Why should I be concerned about his fate when he can fall several stories without harm? I thought the toe clinging was too much, but this dropping scene was just nuts.

Like with Laputa, I also find it kind of add that the characters are so casual about killing children.

With all that said, the show is charming.

Looks like Dyce has a heart, and is trying to help Lana by saving her, although he didn't go back for Conan. It's hard to say if it was because he didn't want to save him, or if he just didn't have time.

If Conan is stuck there, what will happen to him? Will Monsley's "education" have a negative affect on him?

Don't want to see Lana and Conan separated again.

That sums him up. Part Dola, part Tuco with a bit of Zenigata thrown in (mainly in terms of his design, but also because of his quirkiness and energy).
