Wait, that ending was kinda abrupt. Does this mean we're getting a second season soon?

The father is a nice guy, and it was good to see Yuki and MC making up and having a discussion on the roof, tears of sadness transformed into tears of joy... though they can't end it like that, now it's as tense as ever regarding the romantic development and it's frustrating to end it with both characters struggling with their feelings :( We need a S2

Such a based show. The fact that that it ended with the mc like that and a hint of the maid maybe realizing it's more than that and BAM, it ends. No season 2, no ova. No nothing, read the manga which most of us won't leaving these characters in a sea of uncertainty. I love it!

I love Yuki's gradual character development from the first episode up to now, but I can't say the same thing for Hitoyoshi. This episode could've hit so much harder, but instead it felt way too abrupt because there's no gradual character development for Hitoyoshi beforehand. Such a shame.

But honestly, even though everything after episode 1 didn't really match my expectation (as in I got hooked in by the premise of character drama but instead I got a fun slice of life comedy), I still really enjoyed my time with this show! The artstyle is just so unique and the characters are so much fun to watch, especially Yuki with all of her quirks, she's just so cute and really carried this show imo 😆. This show could really use a S2 since there's still a looot of unexplained things, but I don't really expect there would be one and I'm fine leaving this show as it is.

It's a niche series and adapted most of the material available
Hey you never know, I’ve seen some shows I never thought would get follow-ups but they did, of course I know it’s probably unlikely for this series but I always hold out hope

I won't be the only one who thinks that Hitoyoshi's father looks rather handsome. ^^;

Either way, it was nice to see Hitoyoshi break through his hesitation and ask his father to let Yuki stay as a maid at home, in which his father is fine with it. Yuki and Hitoyoshi's talk on the rooftop was also pretty sweet, although they both had a different view as to what "family" meant to each other, which made Yuki's mind go into overdrive.

The final episode does end with many questions unanswered. It does feel like Hitoyoshi's parents might be involved in the assassin business, but that's mostly a guess, admittedly. Overall, this series is rather cute and does have good moments with characters that are lovable (Riko especially).

I think I'll be generous and give it a 7/10. Maybe there'll be a second season someway down the line. If not, then I'll read the manga for myself in the future.

This Evil Overlord agrees with your words for the opposite of your meaning. The most 'human' action there would have been to torture the kidnapper until he begged for death, then torture his some, repeat, and finally kill him when it is Miller time.

Poor Meido still suffering now over capsule toys. So many attempts ending in failure, I feel her pain. Glad she was able to overcome the corruption of gacha machines.

Father doing fatherly things in the end, wow. I can imagine worse dads in anime, but yeah it's a complicated family situation.

W for MC coming around and saying he wants Yuki in the end. Even though he made her cry, at least he's changing.

It can't end with such an open ending! Hitoyoshi seems to (once again) misunderstand Yuki's reactions. By now, he should realize that basic concepts like "love" or "affection" (or even a simple "I like you") can be hard to grasp for someone with a tragic past like hers. Still, it was an entertaining spectacle.

As I suspected, Hitoyoshi's father is connected to Yuki, but thankfully, it’s through the teacher who treated Yuki kindly. While this episode answered some questions, it raised even more: What exactly does Hitoyoshi’s father do for a living? Is he involved in shady dealings? Why did Hitoyoshi’s mother leave him? And what happened to Yuki’s sister?

I really hope they announce a second season to resolve these mysteries—and, of course, to see Yuki again, who has become one of my favorite female characters!

Wasn't expecting them to end it right there. Honestly the romance in this has been pretty mediocre so far, it just feels so off, especially the way Hitoyoshi develops feelings for her. I preferred it when they were focusing on Yuki learning to live a normal life rather than a assassin focused one. Overall it's not a bad show, but the comedy isn't that great, and it's other aspects often struggle to hold it up, like his dad got a divorce, and Hitoyoshi supposedly didn't get along well with him. He shows up last episode and acts like a great father and they just don't elaborate pretty much at all on those aspects they brought up before.

It was a decent amount entertaining if only average, but wow did it really struggle to actually make use of it's potential, I can't help but feel disappointment after finishing this.

I'm trying to figure out if I'm reading too much into the last scene with her reminiscing about the railroad gate/sound. I can't figure out if it's a foreboding, maybe negative foreshadowing, or just her remembering her first time feeling how she did when she saved him from the car, since they called back to that earlier in the show.

Sweet show nonetheless, enjoyed it enough, I'll watch more if they make more.

I thought there must be a 13th episode so I came here, but no, it’s over.

This was one of my lower-tier shows this season, meaning I almost dropped it a couple times. But I hung in there.

Weird ending. 5/10. Nothing special but not bad.

Hitoyoshi's father being voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa was a pleasant surprise, overall not a fan of this anime though.

Was so good but this ending is so unsatisfying :( guess I just gotta wait for a season 2 cuz I don't think I feel like reading this. Overall, still a good show though. Love the creative direction it took, opening and ending visuals are soooo cool. It looks monogatari-esque and I love the monogatari aesthetic. 7/10

Hitoyoshi doesn’t seem to believe that Yuki’s words were a genuine reflection of romantic feelings from her soul. Instead, he sees them as an empty echo of his own words, or whatever "daisuki/love" might literally mean to Yuki (like affection in the sense of liking something or a brother). He has no reason to believe that she truly understands what love is yet, nor does she have enough context to consciously verbalize these feelings yet. This is true given how Yuki has been portrayed so far—naive and innocent when it comes to human relationships and normal life in general. Of course, that was just a surface-level interpretation of Hitoyoshi’s perspective. The final scene shows “heartbeats” coming from Yuki, which suggests that she is definitely feeling something. I guess a second season will explore how the two of them come to understand and clarify these feelings.

Part of me still questions if what I saw really was the final episode. That really did not feel like a proper ending at all.

I still love the anime overall, but among the many obscure anime out there, please let this be one of those that gets a sequel. It can't just end like that. ^_^

Overall enjoyable but like everyone else, found that ending odd. Still lots of unanswered questions (like his mom, her past) so maybe a 2nd season. The anime covered up to Vol 4 ch 34 (except the last 3 pages) and there are 9 volumes so there is at least enough for a second season.

What an awkward cliffhanger ending. Really hoping we get a second season because that was not satisfying at all.

Especially these last two episodes. Felt like absolute trash compared to the first 10, mostly because of Hitoyoshi.

Granted he was never a chad, but he definitely fell between dense goofy MC, and someone who at least has a mind of what they want. And he seemed to be progressing a bit too. He was very much aware of having romantic feelings for Yuki, and wasn't against pursuing them, but was just doing it slowly.

Then episode 11 hit. Oh, my dad is going to be home soon. I don't know how he'll react to her, so I'm just going to treat her like shit and distance myself from her just in case. Oh...I made her cry, I should cheer her up because it's my fault. *proceeds to do nothing*. Skips out on the festival because he's moody. Is moody because his dad and her are conversing. Gets a birthday gift from her, tells her he wants her around, and confesses. She reciprocates, and then he immediately has a mental breakdown thinking she answered it in a platonic way? Without even asking her? Meanwhile in her head she's imagining him as a jacked Chad who's already pumped two kids into her. So he's being dense for literally zero reason.

And that's just with Yuki! He's acting like an even bigger bitch with his dad. His inner monologue: "I know nothing about my dad. I need to tell him how I feel about Yuki staying. I want to ask him why mom left and why he was so angry. I want to ask him about his job!" .....meanwhile in reality: "d-d-d-d-d-d-dad? c-c-c-c-c-c-an the m-m-maid stay here?"

Hitoyoshi's complete character regression really left a sour taste in my mouth. And I really hope a potential second season resolves that. Sounds like even if there is a sequel it wont be for a while since there's basically no more source material. But there's still a lot of unresolved plot and questions I'd like to see answered on top of Hitoyoshi's dumbass redeeming himself.

Dafaq!
No issues or questions around the family solved and only now more questions about what's up with his family.
More questions added cause of this girl he got turned down by while young and the whole confusion around this confession.

Then just that abrupt ass ending. To me it either felt like it was symbolism about what her heart was doing or going super dark and he's about to throw himself in front of the f****** train and kill himself!
