I want to love this show, but Yorishige is beyond annoying. Anyway, I opened this forum mostly because I was inquiring whether the anime is historically accurate. Is this all made up? Aside from the timeline of major events. Final question, do you feel that if they removed the nonchalant tones and focused on the serious and heavy tones of the story would it do better? I believe it would elevate this story by a lot. Edit: Got his name wrong lmao. Edit: I did further digging into the history and holy shit the events that occur are pretty grim. Also Yorishige is a real person based on what I looked up, which is really interesting. |

I'm not sure who you are talking about, but so far there is no annoying character. |

I think you wanted to say “Yorishige Suwa”, not “Yoshigure”. The second name does not exist and it is not correct. “Piartha (correct me if I am wrong) was an ancient kingdom from the Middle East. They used backfiring-aiming technique to defeat Rome’s army, the strongest army from those days”. Left with no other options or resources, Rome’s army lost their energy and they were defeated. I heard this historical information for the first time and I think it’s right, but I do not know if is completely true. A simply search on Google may clarify it. About Yorishige Suwa, yes, he is kind of annoying person, but as a leader of Suwa, he’s doing well and has great strategies (except the one when he put Tokiyuki to steal Emperor’s Imperial Command from Sadamune’s residence๐ ). Thanks to him, Tokiyuki did not die in that invasion in Kamakura started by Takauji and now he is able to take Kamakura back. |

Are you talking about Yorishige? I don't feel him as annoying... bit crazy, yes :-) It is based on the historical figure of Hลjล Tokiyuki, yes, but I doubt that everything happened exactly this way ;-) |

I agree. I wanted to enjoy this more, but I find it hard to care about much besides the super strong production. |

actually it is historically accurate mostly. the important characters did exist, yes, in history it was more tense and brutal but its mostly accurate and yes our protag was for sure good at running away. anyway, I think usually a show with this plot is grim and very heavily toned, but I feel this is what sets thi mshsoq apart. its a revenge plot and yet it's colorful, sometimes bizarre and so on. I think this kinda makes this unique. and honestly iv been loving it. it's a go and a fresh touch from usual revenge plot animes. |

Also you should not instigate fights that you cant win. "Also you should not instigate fights that you can't win" fight? Is that what you think this is? Middle school surface level thinking where you see everything as a fight that you have to win in order to prove your worth. No wonder you are so eager and quick to throw insults and adopt such a defensive attitude. So based on what you said, do you only start fights that you can win? Cause you can't handle it when someone fights back and you think you might lose? Needless to say, you reek of insecurity. "Stop talking for once and don't let it go to your head" "This is none of your concern and none of your business, I spoke my mind" Ironic that you would say this to try and justify what you say yet continue trying to silence me. I also only spoke my mind so what's your point? Notice how my first comment wasn't even directed at you yet you decided to take offense to it and responded. To put it plainly, your hypocritical nature is only rearing more of its ugly head. So in your own words, stop talking for once and don't let it go to your head. This is none of your concern and none of your business, I spoke my mind. "So I only said what everyone basically thought" Now this is just the next level of narcissism. Completely untrue and delusional, even if you try to backpedal by using "basically". "So gtfo your high horse and try to learn some manners first before you try to justify what isn't yours." It's honestly incredible you can say this with a straight face. Firstly, it doesn't even make sense. When have I tried to justify what isn't mine? I implore you to point it out. Secondly, I have only been replying with the same amount of manners you are dishing out so if you can't take the heat, stop playing with fire. "Stop talking for once and don't let it go to your head." You haven't tried to retort anything I said and continue to put your fragile ego on display by continuing to throw insults and spew nonsense, all while trying to take the high road with stuff like "why are you trying to go further than it needs to go" yet you were the one who initiated with hostility. If you don't want someone to challenge you, don't post on a public discussion where people are allowed to voice their opinions. On a final note, Listen. To. Your. Own. Advice. |

As for @PunGood020, I want you to realize how ironic and hypocritical you are when you are stating "don't let it go to your head." Seeing as you had to reply to them furiously, it got to your head as well. You are no more morally correct than Tuyo in this situation. Nor am I with my reply to your comments. But if you want to sound as if you are morally in the right and to win the fight say it with logic, not with fallacies & character assassinations. I understand why you are not a fan of him. But again, it's not like you can't just stop watching the anime.
I find him annoying too, but try think about it. Tokiyuki just lost his whole family, his home and safety. Yorishige might be a dork, but he is keeping the child safe and think about his life as a child, as well as a future leader. Tokiyuki needs some light around him after such an experience. Yorishige is also really lucky to see the future. He knows what to do to keep our protagonist safe and out of serious harm. You might see a really nice side of him in the next episode when Tokiyuki returns from Sadamune's mansion. <3
Edit: Most people in the series are real people ^^ It's also historical accurate when it comes to serious stuff~

@KuroCiel, I was reading more about the history, and many (the ones that I found online) pointed out that he was a senile man. I probably would have had fewer issues if the show portrayed any sense of his hysteria. I hope he gets less berating and more endearing or even crazy as the story progresses. I enjoyed Assassination classroom, so I hope the author delivers well with it tone and messaging. |
