Just watched the movie in Cinema. Kaito and Heiji shined in this movie. Conan had little action with his skate board and football. but i expected more. We had some comedy moments with Mouri and Ran. The action scenes were nice and fluid but the mystery of the killer was easy and treasure reveal was underwhelming for how hard the puzzle was. Overall it was OK 5.5 or 6 out of 10 movie. |

I can't say I know much about Conan, so a few things were a bit unclear for me, but I still very much enjoyed it, especially the action scenes. |

Currently on episode 830 of the anime and after being introduced to the Conan universe with the film 24 in 2021, I just saw it in the cinema and it's an excellent film! I loved Kaido Kid undermined more than ever in addition to the Heiji - Conan duo still as effective! |

@Imbalanced This. When that scene finally came the cinema staff already turned on the full lights... Good thing I always stay until the end. I think the cinema staff were already annoyed that they had to run this movie with me as the only spectator :) |

I guess I enjoyed it. It had mystery, love, and some revealing! Beginning where there's that famous Hijikata from shinsengumi using a sword w. star appearing. kendo competition was also going on, and girls wanting to support west detective, who is gone. two guys met, which one is by Kirito (SAO) voice. Kid wanting to get the sword from falling rich family is curiosity on his father. lawyer who is related to that rich family being dead started whole journey to find the treasure that related to the swords, which related to two different groups besides kid. Ran is not relevant to this case at all (no action) but wanting to help the west couple out. there's also the rich lady w. OnoD butler, who go around Hokkaido to get west detective but not aware of the case not until later and helped Conan out for a bit. lol @ their involvement at the end. the swords, pentagon at Hokkaido's park (?), haiku, etc. is related to that "secret" treasure's whereabouts. a friend of rich family knows the secret and his son, who is Kirito voice, had huge mission of destroying the treasure. the son also has his reason for accepting the mission which related to his doctor mother who died in war. He also had a bit of sword fight against west detective. The diary of swordsmith who was involved in beginning case also was hint to the case. Detective kids also had little involvement in helping out gimmick of treasure's whereabout. the sword w. the star also related to revealing the whereabout. the treasure was dangerous in warring time but not now. west detective had a cool confession which including the summary of the movie, but his love didn't hear it because of stun bomb accidentally dropped by OnoD butler. I guess that guy w. historical person's name was not coincident to have that name. He somehow responded to the call of the historical person appeared in the history part, and seems like the Bald guy (who seems like the reincarnation of that guy?). The missing sword throughout the movie was revealed after the ending. Shinichi's parents has the sword at the house and given by father's twin brother, who happens to be kid's father... and he was alive after all!!! this time he was pretending to be the guest police character. no wonder they have same face and voice. The voice for the next movie tease involved with two male polices of three (which including the lady police) but in forest? |

wow, I just saw the film at the cinema. so, it's canon now? But, now confirmation in the manga yet right? about Shinichi and Kaito are related. and Kaito's father is still alive all in all, pretty decent film. good sword sakuga. But, it still irked me up when Momiji and the Geng nonchalantly do domestic terrorism without any repercussion. hahaha |

Peak OST, I think this is the best or one of the best ever soundtrack tailored made exclusively for a specific scene across all the movies up until now. With the resolving context scene tagging along with this, it is inch perfect. |

I wished there were extended sword fighting scenes, especially at the climax. The story focus so much on swords and there are some casts who are skillful with sword, yet some of the action scene is cut short. |

I loved the fight scenes, the music and the scenes pertaining to Heiji, Conan and Kaito especially. The fact that Aoko finally made an appearance after so long since her last one and that Kaito was there even though disguised π. That post-credits scene … why. Why do that to poor Heiji. He just wants to confess π Also now there’s confirmation that Toichi is indeed alive since the Corbeau case, but at the same time are the movies even classified as canon so is it still up for debate that he is π€ We’d have to wait for some form of reveal in Manga and I’m all for that π |

I haven’t watched anything from the series yet but I know a few things about the series. As for the movie, I thought the plot was very ambitious trying to play the “catch the mouse” and different threads here and there which definitely didn’t help to make things easy… I liked the little cool moments of the series like the character introductions at the start with iconic Conan line and the standoffish Kaito Kid scenes. After credit scene suggests there’ll be more to this story, I wonder how they’re going to adapt it. If it’ll be in the form of another movie and it gets as trendy as it did here, I might just watch that as well. 6/10. |

The movie set against the picturesque backdrop of Hokkaido feel fresh and I love scenic beauty of Hokkaido.. The plot thickens as Hattori Heiji finally confesses his feelings, only for Kazuha to tragically lose her hearing due to a bomb explosion. This recurring trope of bomb explosions in Detective Conan movies is starting to feel repetitive, and it might be time for the creators to explore new ideas The revelation that their fathers are twins, rather than Conan and kid themselves, is an intriguing revelation of their family backstory, but for me it wouldn't have been less shocking if Conan and kid were twins separated at birth. The contrasting kendo styles of Onimaru and Okita were a treat for me, adding an exciting dynamics to the action sequences. Conan, Hattori Heiji, and Kaito Kid teamwork captivated me with their cleverness and interactions. Overall Impression: the movie delivers a mix of highs and lows, with significant character developments and a few surprising twists but all the explosions and plane crash feels like a flash back to previous movies so I think it lacks new ideas for the action scenes. |

watching Ran try her best as WingWoman for kazuha-hatori is always funny ... the way to solve the mystery is too convoluted, please don't torture my brain any further... Even so, the story is quite awesome with full of action, and we get some fun cameos like Kaito Kid's girlfriend Aoko and the bald guy from the Yaiba series... |

This was surprisingly well written for the low standards of the Detective Conan movies, also interesting Meiji and Shinsengumi references. Nice production too. Kind of reminded me the 7-th movie - Crossroad in the Ancient Capital with some added Magic Kaitou and Yaiba lore. I guess the last thing is a sort of teaser for the upcoming remake Shin Samurai-den Yaiba. Too much cameos to count. My favourite was the Kaitou Corbeau one, I guess he is active now. Him being the brother of Yusaku Kudo was a bit surprising tho. shuffle_017 said: and Kaito's father is still alive This was confirmed in the Magic Kaito 1412 anime...not sure about the manga, since I don't follow it, but I guess they took it from there. Oh god this Movie was so hyped! Detective Conan Movies never disappoints, cool fight scenes too. I always love how everyone add some clues to the whole mystery because of their skills and knowledge (Momiji - Haiku, Kazuha's hearing, Sonoko's riches (lol)) Also love how my boy Matsuoka Yoshitsugu is casted haha, again as a sword-user. Ran doing her best as a wingman was so fun to watch, sadly Heiji was once again interrupted–? Momoji's fault! That after-credits scene! When I realized that the police officer is a fake, I thought it would be Kaitou's mom, coz if I remember right she was the one disguising as Kaitou's father overseas, didn't expect Toichi to there in the flesh. And I guess this also confirms that Shinichi and Kaitou are cousins. |

That was huge ass confirmation!!! Conan and kaitou kid are both related, And touichi kuroba is alive as well. Pretty enjoyable movie but this movie doesn't have that much action, especially the lack of proper sword fight in a movie with "sword" theme. Even tho hattori and kid was the main focus in this movie, it feels to weak compared to the previous detective conan movie where they did justice to the character that the movies main focus was, haibara and conan underwater scene remains superior than this fakeass flashbang Confession moment in mountaintop ngl. But I'm grateful they include a kaito kid character in this movie, aoko appearance caught me of guard. Nonetheless the best part of this movie was the post credit scene and I'm looking forward to the next movie. 8/10 |

Also how I personally think that Toichi isn't actually dead, cause in 1412, it is said that the magician Toichi is dead, but is he really??? In the last episode it may be quite confusing, but to bring him back at the end of the credits is quite suspicious. and how the only person who can contact Corbeau is Yusaku. and how The Night Baron may be a story related to Corbeau, linked connections that doesn't seem improbable!!! |

The wonderful feeling that the anime gives you!!! I don't like mystery that much, but when I watch conan, I am really immersed on the story it tells. How the details are very in depth! It just gives me chills and excitement like no other. |

Thus not the only person, also makes sense for only those two (his wife and his brother) to know that he is alive. |

Watched the subbed version just recently. So who's going to pay for the broken stained glass window Heiji broke with his bike? Looked expensive given it's huge size. I'm thankful for the TL Notes in the subs...reminds me of the good old days. I really appreciate them because I'd never would have otherwise looked back on old episodes like 144-145 when the inspector of Hokkaido was introduced. And I'd be absolutely clueless about most Japanese-centric terms like the "Iroha" pangram poem or other historical anecdotes. It was interesting reading up about the Republic of Ezo; current day Hokkaido. One thing about the notes that were wrong though is 1:16:23...where it says [Note: "-dono" roughly means "lord" or "master". It does not imply noble status and lies above "-sama" in level of respect.] What's wrong is the latter half of that note....it's actually "sama" that is above "dono" in level of respect. "Dono" is more for peers who respect another, especially toward samurai. Why the heck does Irori and Momiji have freaking stun grenades? Seems overkill just to stop a confession of love. Incidentally, who was that bald swordsman with Okita? I'm guessing he's part of the Kaito Kid spinoff, "Magic Kaito"? As an anime-only watcher, I really hope they make another season of that. Pretty messed up for the father-son duo to be plotting a terrorist bombing on the mountain where people gather for the view. It was so funny when Ran knocked the son Hijiri out with a karate chop when he was about to wake up. And Hijiri's father murdered that lawyer for no reason after finding out what the treasure/weapon really was. I'm curious about who was the American dude that was working with Kadokura. Speaking of Kadokura...who shot him? Was it Kaito in disguise, or his father, as later revealed in the post-credits? I'm surprised that Yukiko only found out (along with the rest of us, the viewers) that Yusaku had an older twin brother who was Kuroba Toichi...which would explain why Shinichi and Kaito share a resemblance. Interesting that Yukiko has in fact unknowingly met Yusaku's brother before, having trained under him along with Vermouth in their younger years in the art of disguise. When they first introduced that incompetent cop, I instantly knew it must have been a red herring because his act was just so over the top. But I never expected that it was in fact, Kuroba Toichi in the flesh, now sporting a full black outfit. This revelation was the best thing I loved about this movie the most. I'm looking forward to Golden Week 2025 now going from the preview, maybe teasing a full return of Kuroba Toichi instead of just a cameo, but that might just be wishful thinking. However for many people in the west like myself, we'll have to wait a full year around this same time in December for the next movie. From the voice preview, it sounded more like Morofushi aka Komei. |

A decent movie. Despite all the swift action from Ran, I guess we are goning to need another movie (set maybe back in London again) to get Heiji and Kazuha to finally confess their love. Another cameo from Yaiba. This time it's Onimaru Takeshi. Now that we have Taichi Kuroba reintroduced back, and him being very similar to Shinichi's father, there is probably going to be a movie that will revolve around the double duel: Farther and Son VS Farther and Son. |

Finally got around to watching this, only a couple monts late lol. I am a little flabergasted when it comes to peoples reactions to Kaito and Shinichi being cousins... I mean... I thought we knew that? When Heiji asked Shinichi: "Do you have a brother?" My reply was: "No, but he does have a cousin." Now part of me wants to rewatch everything all over again because I'm pretty sure it was mentioned somewhere and you all make me feel like I'm tripping. That said, I may have been way too busy laughing at the irony that Yusaku has the sword everyone's been scrambling for all movie. That was absolutely hilarious. |

Am I the only one who thinks the production side of this movie, especially the art and overall polish has taken a little bit of a nose dive compared to the previous movie 26? I get that 26 was a BO movie and I'm fine with it if they wanna prioritize the quality where its most needed, but compared to most movies in the past 10 years this one looks notably a bit worse. In fact TMS in general seems to be falling down badly on the production side of things recently. Just me maybe? This one certainly doesn't look bad but when you're watching a Conan Movie generally there's much more of a clear uplift in budget and animation quality. |

@AoButa16 No in Magic Kaito 1412 it was revealed that his father is actually alive. Go watch it or rewatch it if you haven't already, Detective Conan and Magic Kaito are linked to a degree so there's definitely stuff that fits together between the 2. |

It was a weird first half but the latter half action definitely made up for it. Also, perhaps one of the best things is that the son is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka the Harem King. They really like giving him swordsman characters I love it. His voice is so good. Then there's also TsudaKen as the bald monk sword guy Especially the ending and after credits everyone is talking about. For most of the fans, they most likely believe OG Kaito Kid (aka daddy) dead but this and Kaito 1412 brought him back for real. And for some time, I think I remember the author saying Yuusaku and Toichi are brothers that's why Shinichi and Kuroba look and sound alike. This is the first time it got said I think (at least in the anime). |
