| I am inclined to believe at this point, that author is fully aware of the level of quality he is producing, yet he still maintains this just to either mock the viewers or he knows that this sells. We are third season in of that thing for a reason. Literally what the audience thinks: Literally what any girl would think of Kazuya and him trying to help Chizuru. I absolutely refuse to believe that it wasn't deliberate. Kazuya himself seems to realize, that no mentally stable girl or Ruka would even look in his general direction. We even had mob background characters pointing out the same thing. Think what you want about the author, but this is an absolute 500IQ move. |

| it is implied that he really loves chizuru. the fact that he's not getting it on with ruka who's a S-tier woman who wants him to do it is proof enough that kazuya just doesn't want to get in chizuru's pants, it's more than that for him and it is pretty obvious. we have been seeing that since ruka was introduced. and of course kazuya knows what his status his. but that's the point. we are seeing this garbage of a man getting better with every passing season. he's a lot better in this season compared to season 1. and the point is that he gets good enough to get chizuru i think. that's the main plot of this story. all this interactions with different girls, all this situations he's going through. all these different types of experiences are making him grow and making him a better person. someday he might become a man who deserves to be with chizuru. |

Dude knows that if he finally ends it nobody will ever read a thing he puts out again. Any manga that releases with his name attached will be avoided like the plague. "just go for A tier if you can't get S tier", love doesn't work like that and it's more than physical attraction for him at this point. if he just wanted some pussy, ruka was there for him with legs spread multiple times but man wants a genuine relationship between 2 people who equally love and deserve each other and we're building upon that. |

Even ln readers said it was hot garbage that only managed to get a decent score because it had the konosuba label slapped onto it |
