| Sariphi has completed the first of many tasks for the Queenship: commanding a holy beast, as more creatures vehemently protest the thought of a human being their queen, to the point of treason, even for rash creatures. Princess Amit bakes some cookies for Sari and both Cy and Clops, and a commotion to restrain a boy who made his way into the walls of the kingdom...who is Sariphi's brother Ilya, barring himself uninvited to the meeting. Both her and Ilya as childhood friends, and he's just merely her protector, whom the fact remains that he didn't know that Sari was to be made a sacrifice. The exception that Ilya is to be set free, Anubis tries challenging him, which he, like Leo, re-emphasizes her position as queen. The good graces of Leo when Ilya collapses due to heavy fatigue, and for now, treating him is better than putting on exile and leaving him to rot. Regardless, Ilya maintains his composure that he'll rescue her out of the kingdom, but seeing that she's been brainwashed by the creatures and with Leo being queen, he stresses the point that of once his home being ravaged by demons. Leo at the very least is compassionate despite creatures trying to cancel him for his efforts, and Sari faces a dilemma even as she serves him, albeit with fear and assurance that he'll treat her like his old self...which for all intents and purposes, his point still stands, to the dismay of Cy, Clops and Leo, who wants to settle with Ilya himself. The topic of happiness between humans rather than one of a human-creature hybrid, and it would not have been Sari's ideal to leave Leo that haphazardly, and Captain Jorgunmand would take Leo's place temporarily, for the king to go find her. Ilya vs. Leonhart, human vs. beast. Who'll emerge victor? |

| This ep kinda reminded me of Snow and Wisteria from last season’s outcasts show. I guess we were always going to need someone from sari’s past to come into the story and make her fully commit to the beast kingdom. Ilya vs Leo next week should be fun |

| I really liked this episode and how the friend contrasted with the King. It also showed how, even though Sariphi doesn't completely fit in with the Beast Kingdom, she fits in there better than the human realm |

| Ah so a third character based on an Egyptian god, Set. I wonder if this has any significance on the world building. PerryTShipman said: SobbleBoy27 said: Ilya seems like he has feelings for Saraphi... I don't think he could join the king's guard unless Saraphi rejected him. This episode was surprisingly intense... We'll see what happens to Ilya when Saraphi wakes up... Hate to say it but Ilya is pretty typical of an abusive male … thinks his “feelings” justify his “take command” actions in kidnapping Saraphi. And her repeated “he is really very nice” enables Ilya to push his will on Saraphi. It also keeps Saraphi from recognizing how her action truly hurt Leo. Arg!! That isnt taking into account what he has been through and the world he lives in. Basically his environment makes it so he cant see Sariphi as making a sane decision since it is completely incomprehensible to him beasts can be varied like humans. To Ilya if he doesnt act Sariphi is good as dead. He seems he could in time see error in his ways if he saw how things are for a longer period to let go of his bias against beasts but even even if he knew the truth how the king rules is still questionable why he has to use fear to rule. But yes he is being selfish not considering her feelings but like i said there is reasons for his rash behaviour it is the panic thinking she will be killed so he cant be rational in such a state so I wouldnt really compare it with someone being abusive it's more comparable to someone trying to get someone out of a relationship with someone with a reputation for being sadistic and dangerous in such situation many people would act similar. Bare in mind Ilya doesnt know the sacrifices have all been a sham so why should he trust what Sariphi says about the king when from his view the king is a very cruel beast against humans just fooling Sariphi for his amusement. He only just has gotten some small number of actions that conflict his views so it would be a bit much to expect him to go full 180 in an instant. If he actually could be convinced Sariphi will be safe then he may back off. |

| I'm still hoping Anubis is just a tsundere and have a soft spot from Sariphi, but from this episode its clearly he has no intention on accepting Sariphi as queen. |

| Ilya's initial actions don't make much sense. I doubt someone like him would be that lenient to kill beasts. At this point he should've assumed Sari was long killed, thus he should've been all edgy, angry and thirsting for vengeance. Instead he wanted to have a 1v1 duel with the king while sparing all the guards for some reason (sure, author did this so Leo has good reason to pardon him later but still...). Ilya kidnapping Sari makes sense though. It makes sense for him to assume Sari has lost her mind, or that Leo is just toying with her. |

| i dont really like mr dog. it was previously explained that due to his family serving the king for many years his main purpose is to protect the king even if its against his wishes. i also dont like mr blonde. he just didnt want to listen to sari. and well, sari is at fault too for NOT EXPLAINING THE SITUATION. why does that happen in so many shows. why wont characters talk to each other. |
