The rookie detective Sugar Pease just couldn't let the employees of Pinochle loose, even after all of these incidents which trounced the police to drop all of its cases. Instead of bringing Captain Young, having Sugar interrogate the Klondike Family's John Doe in exchange for safety and information, and there is a reason why Young chooses to stay away from this: his connection to Theodore, the head of Pinochle.

Ban Klondike's gathering of a front for the mafia, and what's the meaning of power than the power of a X-Playing Card to exact between rivals. And this warning is just the start of the affair between families, and the reveal of the Kingdom of Fourland's distress of more Players showing up. This is Peace's breaking point to see the ugly in getting involved in this affair that she shouldn't be in, and count that as another warning from Finn as well.

John Doe is dead, and the Klondike Family is ready to move forward, no matter the sacrifices.
The dark, ominous episode reeling in its aftereffects.

Rookie detectives always have their phase of trying to uphold justice, and they say "curiosity killed the cat", which almost happened here. It was a close shave for Sugar, with her investigation into Pinochle's connection with the Klondike Family, but this time around, they let them off easy. That wasn't the case for John Doe though, who was sacrificed in front of a big crowd, and Ban Klondike is not to be messed with.

This was in my opinion, the best episode so far, and sets the scene for a darker time ahead. No playing around anymore.

Jesus Christ bro that is an AWFUL way to go out bro neck just burst from being twisted so much that’s horrible. Police was supposed to be protecting him after all that info he gave that’s messed up.

You’d think sugar would learn her lesson to not sneak around anymore with this klondike family but she clearly didn’t lmao. You got a dude that can seemingly just use his mind to kill people and a telekinesis user, pinochle definitely at a disadvantage

I guess young didn’t wanna get involved in the interrogation since he’s old friends with Ban Klondike which is why he sent sugar in. Pretty crazy episode which definitely sets up a much darker shift.

Intense episode with some awesome fights, ngl. RIP to John Doe though, also Sugar really wants to pry into everything and ended up getting almost killed by another player in the process. Now the show really begins between families, interesting to see where its gonna lead to.

Finally the plot is more interesting introducing the villains of the series. The faction, the powers yeah the episode was intense.. Good premises for probably a final all out battle at the end

Great sense of suspense this episode, I was legit worried about Sugar.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Now that episode 5 is out, I wonder why John Doe even decided to conduct a bank robbery when he's part of the mafia, which clearly has access to a lot of wealth. It's not like his power can stop the police or something in the first place. Unlike the big rock man or fire woman, it doesn't render him bullet proof, if they fire a bullet into all 5 clones at once he's still as dead as anyone else. if they want to take him alive, the police can still just shoot the clones dead enough times that he can't use them anymore.

Also, couldn't Finn have just undone his gun, put it in his other hand and then shoot another bullet? The woman had to actively throw a metal object to block the shot, so that means she can't block bullets directly via telekinesis. Or maybe she could and wanted to use intimidation. Who knows, but he could have at least undone his gun when it was pointing at the cop. or turn on the safety.

Great episode! But I can't understand why the captain's subordinate, man with glasses, betrayed them!? He appeared at the party and participate in John Doe killing. Why he did this? Was a traitor from the beginning. I don't understand it.

This episode actually held my interest pretty well compared to the past few weeks, it got pretty tense, especially with the black haired lady who could seemingly like control force to some extent?

The stakes have been raised and now this show is pretty good again, after a couple episodes of being a lull imo as it took the time to introduce some of our supporting characters.

Not much else to say other than Sugar X Finn (that scene where she's getting strangled and Finn is forced to point his gun at her was a good scene. Sure it ends in the un-interesting way of it just being a warning, but hey, even if you see her as a little annoying, you still don't want her to die, right?), the art-style is clean asf as always, and I still find the ED of them singing in the car kind of cringe.

The best episode still so far by a long shot is the first one. I hope we can relive some of that energy before the show ends.

That annoying female detective, Sugar almost got killed if it wasn't for Finn when she was clearly sticking her nose where it didn't belong. A typical rookie mistake on her part.  It seems that her boss Captain Young is playing both sides of the table in his conversations with Theodore and then later with Ban Klondike, but even Young is smart enough not to pry into the Klondike family's business. Its obvious that the Klondike family has ties with local law enforcement which is the main reason they found out that John Doe was going to talk and he was killed in a extremely brutal fashion. If I had to guess the lady that attacked Finn and Sugar has a very high level card like a King or Queen and she was only there to give a warring shot to Sugar. Of course Sugar is not going to let this go as she is determined to find the truth, but the only thing she can do right now is play the role of support like everyone else as the local law enforcement can't get involved in the war between The Klondike Family and High Card(Royal Family) because both forces are simply too powerful for them to handle.

"I'm sure I must've been annoying. But I didn't know how to stop" don't worry Sugar, keep being curious and finding out the truth about Pinochle and Klondike until the lady from before kills you for real, then you'll stop on your own ;)

But the power that the Klondike Family members have is insane, it seems they have big and powerful controlling powers like what Ban Klondike did to John Doe and the lady did to Finn and Sugar. This would put Pinochle at a disadvantage because imagine if they were all fighting each other and the lady got Love-P in her hands.. or when Leo had used a lot of money for a big weapon but it turned to attack the Pinochle members themselves instead..

Solid episode with a taste of the rival card collectors and mafia family, the Klondikes. It was nice to see the story take a minor detour and focus on the chaotic world of cards from someone who isn't a card user. Though I have to say Sugar wasn't the most entertaining host compared to the Klondike boss Ban. Forcing a traitor's neck to spin 360° within 5 minutes of your first appearance? Pretty evil/interesting.

At this point, I can confirm the story is more of a "Sit back and enjoy the ride" type rather than a deep dive into the characters, or world structure. Not a bad thing though, it's nice to simply switch your brain off and have fun.

Things are picking up and 2 families will be fighting for power. The new girl Sugar was being a bit too nosy and was given a warning to stay out of the families' fight. Speaking of nosy, I think Young may get into trouble too down the road as he may have info from both sides.

I guess the Klondike family influence in the city is too much to the point they’ll just execute someone in front of a crowd without retaliation. Detective girl almost got rekt. Good episode overall.

So the main story is picking up steam. Nice!

This episode's main character was against my expectations not Vijay, but rather Sugar, the rookie detective. She's very motivated, but that'll only lead to her death as of now. I hope she gets a bit stronger, maybe with a card of her own. Or by teaming up with Young, who seems to dislike the direction the Klondike family is taking. I found both of them to be interesting characters and look forward to see more of them. And Vijay of course, who'll hopefully get the spotlight next week.

This felt like a pretty slow episode, but it went by kinda quickly for me. We got to see the Klondike family in this episode and more of that detective from previous episodes.

It was alright, but I am excited to see where this goes from here

Ah, there's the mafia family I was expecting. No Vijay dedicated episode yet though we did get one where the stakes are set. The Players funnily enough are not here to play around.

Sugar reminds me of Shimotsuki from Psycho-Pass 2, but not in an annoying way like that, rather in her pursue but in a well intentioned matter. Hopefully she's not as useless as the other one was.

I love that all the other officers just flat-out ignore her temper tantrum because same😂 She is so jarring. Why does Ban Klondike look like Nanami from Jujustu Kaisen🤨. She actually needs to get a life randomly arresting Finn some weirdo. Wait why r there two police officers at this event🤨 How corrupt is the police department? That execution was disgusting and painful. I am so happy that the female police officer has been scarred hopefully she minds her business from now on since she was getting on my nerves. OH MY DAYS PLEASE I BEG SOMEONE KILL THIS WOMAN SHE NEEDS TO GO. Damn, there are some really OP POWERS.
