| I've been thinking about what makes Anya stand out from a lot of child characters in anime. Many people think Anya is only popular because she is cute. From an objective standpoint, she's popular because she is an excellent audience surrogate character whose purpose in the story is to provide a relatable perspective for the audience in an otherwise unknown world. As much as I find her shenanigans cute, I think this is the greatest aspect of her character. If Spy x Family didn't have this element to her, she wouldn't be as popular as now |

Also Set up of spy x family is far more interesting than majority of isekai. Except few of them most of the isekai world are one of the most uninteresting garbage in anime. |

| Most people don't think that deeply about characters. People like Anya because she's cute, it's that simple. The characters that don't get popular aren't cute enough or the anime they come from isn't popular. |

| I think what makes Anya stands out to the other anime kid is how she tries to help in a plot she's too young to fully understand. If I look at other popular anime kids (for example Kanna from Dragon Maid and Renge from Non Non Biyori) their main appeal is doing cute and innocent kid stuff, but their stories take place in a relatively cute and innocent environment too, if you forget that Kanna can literally destroy the world if she wanted too and isn't out of battery, that is. Whereas Anya is a goofy and cute child who progresses in a more serious setting. Yes, it's a comedy but it's also about secret services, war and hitmen. |

| I like her because she's actually written like a child. Most writers write children as either incredibly dumb or too intelligent. Anya is dumb because she's inexperienced, but she has moments of brilliance. |

| I enjoy watching her to explore her world through her eyes, misunderstanding things, falling over, being cute and sweet but also capable of being horrible and destructive. She is a fun watch and makes the story work so much better |

| I don't like Anya' character overall. However I do like some aspects her personality. Her saying Okay-dokey & oui. Some random remarks she gives, after reading someone's mind. For example in p1, Loid was mentally exhausted and worried at one point, then Anya says "don my chichi" (don't worry about it pops), and he snaps back with "nani ga!" I laughed my ass off at that. But yeah I'm not a fan of Anya. |
