So instead of forcing the Nightmare out of Weiss, having Blake be infused with Jaune's Nightmare, not to mention the conflict between the Schnee Family and White Fang...to do all that in a dream, it's not just a love-hate nor a human-Faunus affair, but a do-or-die affair.

Team JNPR wants to help, but it all hinges on Shion Zaiden's decision to put the nail in the coffin, and Professor Ozpin gives the green light on Blake's idea, though at the assurance of keeping the relic safe, and having enough coins to reverse and get them out of the dream to save their real selves if it goes haywire. A dangerous gamble no less, but this is the only way left.

Negative Blake has been summoned, and aided by a past member of the White Fang, she goes all-out against Negative Weiss for a long-standing judgment to avenge the one-sided persecution and vindication of all Faunus and intentionally letting the Nightmare manifest her for power.

It's back to the centre stage for Ruby fighting the Nightmare Grimm, and if her plan of destroying it fails, there's no second chance to save anyone, not even Weiss herself.

In my mind, I just want this to end soon...

So I’m guessing(have no familiarity with RWBY) this season was supposed to only be this grim nightmare world? Because it’s been dragging on for two months now.. only a few eps left as well.

Today was a decent episode for sure. Nightmare Blake is badass, but not sure unleashing her was a good idea since she looks way stronger than weiss and the others. May have just made things worse

It's episodes like this one that show just how inconsistent the production of Ice Queendom is.

You have some moments that look raw, like Blake's transformation into the CEO of Racism Ideology, Yang using her motorcycle to escape the giant robot, or the shot of Ruby striking the nightmare at the end, and then you have these incredibly flat moments of stilted art during the exposition scenes and Blake's actual dual with Weiss later in the episode that's initiated by stiffly gliding a CG model of Weiss forward. Hopefully next episode is the ending so the final episode can be an epilogue.

Also, this show LOVES cliffhangers. Nearly every episode is tagged with a cliffhanger ending.

I think it’s just complaints. I don’t like that the series is one long drawn-out dream. Based on dream so far, it’s dragging, and doesn’t feel like it has enough content for a season. This could’ve been better as a condensed 6 episode series, or a movie.

So we've had a dream within a dream and now a nightmare within an nightmare. Releasing Negative Blake is a huge gamble, girl has got a lot of issues with Weiss and the Schnee family. Although it looks like Weiss is gaining some heart back, as she says that Blake isn't acting like herself. Glad everyone had something to do in this episode, they're all doing what they can in order to save Weiss. Also as much as Yang finding the Jaunes' cape is kind of a cop out, it is kinda a nice call back. I didn't think we'd see it again and I didn't even realize that it was important.

Ah, been waiting for an art style change ever since. A sign of good animation coming. But we only got that at the end of this episode.
And don't you blame the budget for quality. Shaft outsourced and still couldn't do much.
They had to start producing where COVID was strong.

The episode was a long backstory of what Blake's plan was. It ate up half of the runtime, which is a bit letdown.
Music still kicks harder than an angry gamer.

so happy to see SHAFT evolving throughout the season and hope they keep going up from here. This episode was way better. Still a long way to go for them to bounce back to where they were but this gave me some hope.

That finally feels like progress. Before, Ruby was (still is) infected by a nightmare and now Blake has joined the party?? I'm guessing after the gang save Weiss they either fight to save Ruby or Blake or even both.

Animation was meh, could've been better. I'm hoping for a strong finale.

Also, how come people still haven't picked up that the show takes place INSIDE Weiss' dream after 10 episodes??

Seeing as one of Weiss' primary conflict has to do with Faunus, the final battle with Blake feels appropriate. Could have come a lot sooner though.

Another meh episode, I've been giving all the episodes of this season a 2/5 but I guess I will give this episode a 2.5 instead which makes it bad, but a tiny bit better than the rest of the other crappier episodes.

I haven't found a single thing to praise about this anime yet so this is still a 2/10 anime and I doubt my rating will change. Thank god this piece of crap only has 12 episodes, it's almost over and I won't have to deal with this crap again.

Fuck the 2nd season if it ever comes out, no way I will watch another episode of this garbage once I'm done with this season. For fucks sake, this anime is a disservice to the original RWBY.

I said it last time but I will say it again, this RWBY forum is pretty much dead, not much going on around here other than the few comments in every new episode, this simply shows how bad this anime is. No one is interested in commenting around here anymore and as an RWBY fan myself, this anime deserved better, this is simply bad and the only reason I haven't dropped this crap is that I'm a fan of the original series.

The show definitely hasn't gained any traction on this site. Even the first 3 episodes that were just a retelling of the original and where they dumped all the budget didn't get much discussion, so maybe it's a RWBY thing and not an Ice Queendom thing. I'm with you, though, if I hadn't watched the original series a year ago, I'd have dropped this by now.
