It’s really great. It’s great as a relaxing slice of life but also as a compelling drama about child abuse. Surprisingly poignant.

Yes! You should definitely watch it. The anime’s got a lighthearted feel but deals with touching subjects that pull you in the longer you watch. 😍

If you enjoy psychology, this anime is for you but be aware of trigger warnings like child abuse, alcoholism and manipulation. In the other hand, I personally liked how they put these real life situations in this anime which I felt like a form of awareness of these topics... I must say this is one of the best shows this year so far.

It’s so good! It handles hard topics with the grace and care I’ve never seen and I want to adopt Kotaro he’s so precious. A realistic kid but so adorable too

I think it’s really good. It was super cute and funny but also hit the feels hard. I would 10/10 recommend it.

It’s amazing, had genuinely emotional moments. I couldn’t stop thinking about Kotaro and the other characters for days.

If you want a depressing comedy that you will end up with both having both happy and sad tears it's perfect. And it is awesome on general. Don't think of it as a Netflix anime, think of it as any other anime and you are gonna enjoy it!

Don't listen to some comments, this is not the best anime of 2022, don't create that kind of expectation.
It's a nice series, I wish it did some things differently but yeah. Check the first episode at least

Ngl I went into it not expecting much and ended up loving it! You should give it a shot especially if you enjoy slice of life anime 👍

ITS SO GOOD. I watched it with my cousin and thought it would be weird and sh*tty but it’s so good. Cried a few times watching it and KOTARO IS SO CUTEEEE. so yes, despite the art style, it’s awesome.

It is somewhat melodramatic. The same point of "Look at this poor kid who lives alone" is hammered here a lot. Ik that's the name of the show but still.
The pacing is also really slow so would recommend watching it in 1.5×.
But I liked how they covered up topics like Child abuse and the effects of neglecting parents and even alcoholism. The show isn't afraid to go that route with it's story and that really works in it favor
But I do think Kotaro's character design is really weird, he doesn't come off as cute but rather just weird for most of the show but I did like how they had his character rock back and forth between being mature and acting like a kid.
Gave it a 7/10 so the rest is on you

I personally loved it, you will know after the first 2 episodes. It was really heart warming for me, hope you like it too.

I personally liked it even if it was from Netflix. If you're someone who felt alone growing up you will resonate with a main character.

Ever watch barakamon? It's kind of like that mixed with kawai complex. It's pretty good if you like slice of life. It also highlights several types of abuse both children and adults can face. It's a mix of wholesome and melancholic

It's heartwrenching and gets dark in its undertones. Overall I think it's really well-made.

But at the same time I wished the kid would have been older, like 7 or 8, or just written more... kid-like? He does play and he has reasons to appear more grown up, but it still looks like to me he's an adult in a kid's body. ^^"
It still would be heartwrenching to see him like that if he was a bit older, but since I already took care of kids at that age, my suspense of disbelief fades away fast when I look at 4 yo children, who act like that.

Overall, I really liked it tho.

It has bad drawing, animations and directing however it is one of the best slice of life childcare anime i have watched so far.
It is seperated with mini stories in each episode. Some of them feels a bit rushed and have bad directing but slice of life side of this anime is so good that you can tolerate these minus parts.
It is so rare to see that an anime touches so many issues from live about children and parents and it makes you feel melancholic all time <3
I hope this message can make people determine whether they should watch this anime or not
