| Another brillliantly directed episode.In the first half,while Lena was watching the fireworks,culmination of the feelings until that part were conveyed beautifully.You can see the steady growth of the relationship between two group of people,essentially of two worlds.Then,one can add Lena and her relation to the squadron to that list of various pleasant encounters mentioned late in episode. I must say,Lena looked great in that mourning dress.I hope we get to see her with dresses more often. |
| Ehh, so the worst scenario has become reality. 86s were sent to the battlefield to die there. Albas never considered that any of them should return once their military service period is over, so they just make them fight more and harder until the whole unit is eliminated, only to replace it with other soldiers. |
| another episode hits the feel... of course those White Pigs doesn't want them to comeback at all. Their prejudice against the 86 will lead to all their deaths and for sure the end of their nation. |

Kurena's gruseome and blunt words about he fact that lingering around 86 as they can die anytime, seeing comrades dying while their surrounding Alba's live happily with laugh and smile. Those words really pierce Lena's heart as she could do nothing against that. Once again asking for help from her superior, Jerome end in nothing. Attending revolution festival with her black gown as she fed up with Alba's, So with that color no one will ask her for dance. and.. here it comes my fav moment in this episode, the fireworks... As Lena fed up with those bullshit party, she went out to saw fireworks when talking with Shin through Para-Raid. As they watching fireworks and deeply talking together even though they were far apart. moving to next scene that actually happened before the nights, the arrival of special ammunition and fireworks that sent by Lena before, as usual the officer mocking the 86 getting gifts from Lena. Man.... they actually didn't adapted Shin sarcastic line toward the officer, it was realy Lit tho.... When Anju and Kurena talking about the fireworks that Lena sent, Anju showed her abused marks that she covered up with her hair as she was a mixed so she also getting denied by some fellow 86 in their camps. As the mission commenced, The squad finally told the truth to Lena that actually republic was intended to kill them anyway with those impossible mission as they'll fighting to the death. It has been known along 86's that'll happen sooner or later when they moved into spearhead squadron. When asked by Lena why they didn't just run away, they explained that they knew not all Alba's was bad, and not all 86's was good. Everyone of them had memories when they treated good by Alba's even some of them were mixed anyway.They just didn't care enough whether they'll bring along fellow Alba's into death together or not. They just want to decide what they wanna do and they decide just to fight and survive in this war even it is also means protecting those "white pigs" as it is their pride as 86. I like Raiden quotes here especially this quite general one" Just because a 'trash' treat you like a trash doin the same thing doesn't make you any better than them" Andd.. finally Dinosauria take it 1st appearance... |

| It was really bugging me that the kids from the 86th district (who the state does not regard as people) would supposedly be released from battle duty after a term of 5 years - that's just not how that would play out in a deeply racist society. So the revelation that they are just sent out to die after their term really hit hard, that's a great narrative twist. So far, this is a very decent show, but I feel like it could be a lot better. Especially the dialogue is kind of.. clunky, at times? |

| finally them 86 gonna die. The commander must be bawling her eyes like crazy, just like she deserves. naive and pompous bitch. Her black mourning dress was already a big red flag. She'll be wishing she wasnt so stuck up now. |

| How the Alba delivery guy speaks to Shin becomes even more disgusting once the truth is revealed. What the 86 have to deal with is beyond messed up, and Shuga's line about having the choice of not stooping to the level of the scum that treats them like scum makes it even more painful than it already is. Spearhead's choice of not rebelling speaks volumes about them all things considered. |
| So....they finally give their reasons to fight..but it makes no sense. It's a stupid reason to protect and fight for them, so much so, that its hard to digest. "We choose how we die" - No you did not. You chose the exact same death the white pigs planned for you. You're taking the exact same route they laid out for you. It's really dumb. Also, it makes no sense from a logistics standpoint for the army. Why would they allow an entire unit to be wiped out and risk the Legion encroaching further. If 86ers are disposal to them, they would just keep throwing more 86ers at them to keep the Legion at bay. Also, probably the biggest plot hole IMO is that the Major actually believes the 86ers will be integrated back into society after their term is up, HOWEVER, has she even seen any 86ers wandering the streets of the republic? No, all you see if white hair albas, how the hell could she assume they will be set free? I knew they would never be free before the anime even revealed it because you never see any of them in other shots. This major is goddamn stupid along with the army. The thing is, if you going as far as to enslave people to fight a war, you might as well use them properly to ensure you win the war LMAO |

| I'm curious as to why the 86 haven't had a coup against the Alba leadership of San Magnolia that's sending them to their graves, especially since the Alba have no visible military presence, so far anyway. Also, Vladilena looked sexy in her black dress :D |

| Sawano's compositions are gorgeous as always. Not much else to say about the episode tbh, it's just a damn good show. |

| @DeN11 lol thanks for bring it. And THANKS anime direction for skip this. WTF, totally out of place, coming from nowhere. If Shin or other 86 was annoyed enough to reply the Nazi Albas like this, they would be helping the legion to destroy the fu**ers of republic since a long time ago. No, they are just passive and stay quiet while being opressed, thats how they are. Anime did a most coherent job here. |
