I haven't seen the original OVA series or read the novels, but I've watched both seasons of the remake and absolutely loved it. Was not expecting to see a third season announced so soon, but I'm hyped as hell! I assume we'll have to wait two years or so given the episode length unless they've already been working on it. Can't wait for it to be released!

Super stoked! I'm glad it's 2-cour, they can really pick up the pace and finish adapting the show sooner rather than later.

I haven't watched the originals but I'm loving the remake so far.

Very excited to see more cause I heard the novel readers say good things about the following arcs and plotlines.

At this rate the remake won't take 10 years like the original OVA did. After this finishes airing there will be 48 episodes in the span of what 2 years? Well 3 depending on when it will air.

So we might get the whole adaption in half the time it took Artland.

wonder if they're going to follow 1 novel = 12 eps where
or have it end in
"I like young-girl sexual creations, Lolicon is just one hobby of my many hobbies," he says.
I ask what his wife, standing nearby, thinks of his "hobby".
"She probably thinks no problem," he replies. "Because she loves young boys sexually interacting with each other."

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!

This was unexpected! I had a mindset that this series would end up in a state where it's not cancelled yet nothing new ever gets announced.

I am glad that this is one of the few anime I will be looking forward to next year!

Fuck yes, this adaptation was starting to show so much promise in the second season and the plot from here on out just keeps improving. I assume this'll cover most of what the original ova covered in season 2? Feels like quite the passion project from I.G. to continue this even after a few years and still only scratching roughly a quarter of the story even after all this time.

The first option is the best ending. They should not go too far from it.

The second option will ruin the adaptation. Too rushed.

I am a fan of the original ova series. Though I haven’t seen the remake as there's only single season. But this season will adapt the excellent 2nd part which focused around several other characters, details and a lot of things going on. Hope will come out soon as I love the Original Show.

I prefer the original series. Mainly because I grew up watching it when I was first introduced to it by my uncle. But I do like the new adaptations take--especially cutting lots of dialogue but it's still understandable for newcomers.

despite having seen the OG, i still am fucking stoked for this new adaptation, and seeing it get more seasons and continues like this strokes me better than my hand ever could. hoping we keep getting more seasons and get to see this new adaptation to completion. even if it somehow flubs things compared to OG, the story is still going to be what it is, and the story is what i want people to experience.
i'll love u lazily, but, i'll love u~

I started this series with the remake. Didn't even know it was a remake at first. It's been awhile since I was this interested in an anime. The old version is a bit dated for my tastes unfortunately.

There aren't as many tropes in this show that plague so many other anime. No magical 2000 year old loli girls. No dipshit cringe protagonists. It has engaging characters. Engaging plot. Good pacing.

It's not my favorite, but it's the first anime I've looked forward to in awhile. A strong 8/10 (where as most other newer anime are probably 6/10 at best to me.).

They list the movies as a second season here on MAL and I remember hearing that the three movies were to be considered as a second season in Japan too. Funimation lists it as a second season for their home video release as well. Therefore, this upcoming season will be Season 3.

I haven't watched the original or read the novels that the anime adapts, so as a first-time viewer, I don't know what has been changed, added, or left out. However, the art and animation look amazing and the story and characters are fascinating and exciting to see. I did read that they toned down the stadium massacre scene in this remake, but otherwise I don't remember seeing any other complaints other than maybe skipping over small stuff for the sake of pacing and fitting in what they can in a given episode's/season's run-time, which is a common thing in anime for novel/light novel adaptations.

The characters feel kinda bland in the remake and I didn't like the fact that they skipped some scenes (minor ones but I feel like they were important to understand the characters better), but other than that it's really decent, has good pacing, there are no big changes to the story and the animation is just beautiful. Can't wait for the sequel.

Nice! Now I am not so uncertain about the full remake. It seems IG is determined to go all out with this. Always thought they would stop after a first season due to it probably being unpopular.
