Damn, this episode is very tense especially with Mu's role and her unleashing her skills.

The mech fights felt like it took on a different level and Mu isn't holding back. Nir also remains relevant while all this chaos is going on. Dunno how I feel about the Freedom Plan overall but it certainly can be very influential.

Aw. Echo almost confessed, hopefully we’ll get that in the next few episodes. Very very tense episode. Nir got some good shine this week which is always nice to see. The freedom plan is an interesting concept. Decent episode but I did find some things confusing, the countryless king , etc.

Mu is going berserk because of drugs, Echo cant do anything on his own he's just depressed in a trash can. No way they can stop the villain's plan like this

The mech fights are really good and Mu is in full beast mode. The freedom plan part 2 is going to be very interesting to see what happens. Of course, it might just fuck everything up some more lol.

I realized that not that many people seem to post on this shows episode forums compared to some of the other shows. Not many people seem to like it but I think Listeners has been alright up to this point.

Seems like the story is at its climax, still a bit weird though, I hope for more development and focus in the 3 next episodes.

True but I feel like the second half of the anime is weak compared to the first half, still alright overall but it had the potential to be better

That's likely a reference to the country where everyone seeks freedom and pleasure, and is governed by PRINCE, or whatever he's called in the show again, rather than by a king.

Now, as far as the references I managed to spot from this episode:

The Clash - London's Burning, though you'd expect London Calling given the situation.
Jimi Hendrix - Freedom, Room full of mirrors and Purple Haze.
The Who - I am the sea, as a continuation of last episode's themes.
Psychobilly - Fusion of punk rock and rockabilly.
Lots of direct cameos from bands' lookalikes - The White Stripes (I think), AC/DC, and likely Joe Strummer from The Clash.
Queen - Brighton rock, plus the field marshal's modded scooter and the multiple mirror aesthetic for the episode, are a direct reference to the 2010 movie.
Alice Cooper - Second coming, with hell getting hotter and the devil getting smarter all the time.
Moonriders - Don't trust over 30 (Gotta confirm, but is this our first japanese reference?)
Taste - London invasion, now that's a top gear reference right there!
Also, was that a "Freebird!" reference there at the end, with Mu's necklace?
I think Tommy quotes Drop dead gorgeous and Placebo too, but the connection's shaky at best.
I am also still puzzled by this "We burn those we love" quote they keep repeating, where exactly does that come from?
The guy with the blonde mohawk also eludes me, as well as wether the kids are referencing a specific music video (maybe the wall?) or just war-time Britain.

Anyway, cannot wait for the next episode, which will likely be blues themed and have the much awaited Janis Joplin stand-in we've been seeing in the op finally making a splash.

Gotta say, the Londinum's arc has rocked so far. Listeners has really picked up the pace right before the finale!

This episode tried so hard to balance fast-paced action with mystery box storytelling and it ended up making me feel very confused. 9 episodes in and I still have no idea what's the whole deal with Jimi, Mu, the Earless and Tommy's plot to brainwash humanity. There are so many plotlines running around and I couldn't make sense of what's happening. I was generous on previous episodes because the show was just getting started and I had no idea what to expect but now that the show has a clear sense of identity and is heading for the endgame, I'm not sure if I'm gonna like it.

The Tommy guy is getting out of control, it feels like everything is in his grasp, he is controling the children to spy for him, he brainwashed the entire city into believing that Project Freedom is a great thing and that Jimmi is their savior and that he is back, tricking field marshall, miu and his assistant (event she is shocked by what he's doing right now), can anyone put an end to this man?

Pretty impressive that they actually didn't stop Miu, you'd expect for her to regain her consciousness or something like that and then off to the next episode, but no, how often do you see MC actually falling short, losing hard... intriguing to say the least.

Literal destruction to Project Freedom, the rejuvenating feeling of betrayal. To love is truly to die for...

This mecha-London state repeating history over again of Jimi's (now manipulated Mu's) destruction with head honcho Timmy Walker anchoring the brainwashing, and WOW the instant effects. Sad to say that that's where MC Echo's journey ends with the truth blown the last episode with depression strewn over his face.

The bourne ultimatium of securing one at the expense of all, Tommy's plan is growing to fruition. As for Echo, please buck up your innocent efforts to be more rebellious.

Things at this point of time are going and growing to be more wacky...the execution still plausible as ever. Hopefully the pace will pick up...

Too bad the old guy (my favorite VA was doing his voice) got killed.
Then suddenly that other guy appears out of nowhere and rescues Nir.

Ending had nice music though.

On the contrary, I thought the first half wasn't too impressive, but in the 2nd half it is forming up to be really good.

If I remember correctly the Countryless King was featured in the 3rd episode. They said something like after the first Freedom Plan failed he lost his county, and ever since then he has been living on that big floating airship thing.

Jimi possessed Mu? The reason was still unclear to me. Only plugged in to that equipment in the previous episode. Wth with that leader obsession? How could he controlled Mu aka Jimi without even know each other? And he just accepted him just like that? I believed Jimi or Mu's not even in fully controlled while in the room full of mirror. The reason was, why? The whole story still biased to me. Ofc that old man must die. I don't see the reason why he must survived the rest of the show.

But, Echo alive was another facepalmed and clear the clicheness. I guessed, its only served to long span the series? Instead of fight, he just back to his teritory? Idk what was supposed i said again. The whole story was absolutely disheveled, and the music reference dialogue made everything got worsen and so awful. Wtf? Shit, i might be gone to the dumpster like Echo done with it for watching this show too long.

I always knew I hated children in anime- now I know why. They're all spies for generic bad guys.
