Ah shit, I feel bad for Kyousuke this episode as he becomes a murder suspect. Gotta say though..the murder in this series is rather bloody. Kyousuke being the prime suspect puts him at odds with the police.

This show can get surprisingly dark.

What the hell? 2nd episode and the ... well, two protags go from best friends to accusing each other of murder. The two protags who are not even on that side of the law. Not a twist I would've ever predicted for sure. Interesting.

I guess they left us in a cliffhanger here..?
I'm willing to belive theres more to what meets the eyes here, as most mystery anime tend to do. Since we don't actually observe what happens inside the room, but know about what was being said, the real situation is shrouded in mystery which is interesting.

Both Ishikawa and Kindachis versions of the event that happened offers little explanation to what actually happened. Ishikawa i can understand if he's lying in order to fool some third part (didn't the courtesan spot someone outside before getting into the room with Kindachi?) but i struggle to understand Kindaichis version of the event. I doubt the courtesan framed him, but a third part, but it still offers very little explanation to the talking that Ishikawa hears. Not to mention, we only briefly get introduced to someone staring, but we cannot tell who it is. So what did Kindaichi actually see in the room?

I'd be down for seeing whatever happens next since you get very little clues to who was the real culprit, but i'm a bit confused by the new detectives being introduced for this. We'd see them sooner or later, but i was more interested in knowing what Ishikawa was actually trying to do.

Until next episode i guess..?

I suspect the other prostitute is helping the real murderer by stealing notebook and place it in the room that murder take place.

Solid series so far. I look forward to seeing how this plays out.
...but then again, I unironically like Warau Salesman.

Given the previous episode ending, I don't think Ishikawa actually believes Kindachi is the murder. Most likely he has a plan and he intentionally set things up so he would be taken away.

This said, the last 7 minutes end up feeling like a waste since most likely both versions of the story aren't true, but I guess there is some characterization to be found in Kindachi's narration.

I don't understand why Ishikawa would frame Kindachi for murder unless he has some kind of plan up his sleeve. Guess we will have to wait until next week to find out.

Well, I'm intrigued by the character dynamics and to find out about the plan behind the acting or whatever there may be that would allow me to make sense out of this odd scenario.

I always did wonder how a murder mystery where the mc is the main culprit would play out

but well, definitely did not expect this plot twist. I thought the whole show was gonna be more like Ishikawa solving mysteries while Kindachi just observes but I guess not. I'm actually kinda intrigued for this and do wonder who the actual killer is and why

If this is his personality, or a test I guess. But geez, this went from interesting fun to wut in the space of a week. If they showed more, it'd be more understandable. But this feels like random shock value.

Lol... sorry but Ishikawa was a little annoying in this episode πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚.... I'm sure he's planning something and blamed his friend on purpose but, he is still annoying here πŸ˜‚ My guess is the old lady and the girl with Ishikawa... Kyosuke framing him is also a plan maybe.. to lure the others to be a detective.. idk πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

What a weird episode. Is Kindaichi lying? Cause at first he said he saw a man, dressed like him. But when he stated what he think had happened, the man was suddenly thrown out of the picture. Then at the end of the episode, a grin plastered on Iahikawa's face. That was heck creepy.

Can't wait to see how they would unravel the mystery.

Damn didn't expect things to go this much dark in the 2nd episode only. Two best friends of so many years already distrustful of each other and accusing. Interesting to see where the story takes turn now that more side characters are going to be introduced.

DAYUM, from being trustful friends to distrustful enemies?

Into a red-light district this episode, Ishikawa and Kyousuke enter in, with the latter having a virgin experience. But as so often the case, a murder strikes out.

But as is with alibis and the such of creating possible crime scenarios, until such evidence is procured, Kyousuke is saved at the last minute by people who'd help him investigate this murder.

What a good episode and a firm grip for attention the way through.

I from the moment the scene was presented knew that our Megane boy is innocent. And that, of course, the Playboy also ISN'T the culprit.

But I found interesting the accusations scenes and scenarios they presented.
Makes me happy to see that, despite liking each other a lot, they KNOW they don't know each other all that much, and they, of course, aren't guiltless.

I believe the culprit must be the person our Lady of the Night went to see outside the house and that was also, dining in the same room as both ou protagonists were.

This episode didn't make much sense, I mean why would they go from all buddy buddy to accusing each other of murder. Surely this was some sort of act, I'm quite interested to know what will happen next.

I...What? What the hell just happened?

That scene with the moaning through the walls and Ishikawa eavesdropping has got to be the most cringe anime scene I have seen in a long time.

Onto the next episode LMAO

For people who are supposedly friends from the same hometown Ishikawa and Kindaichi sure don't believe in each other.

Damn I'm curious to see who the real cultprit is and who the heck those three at the end are
