THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

Merlin looks badass. She's leading the troops on one of the fronts against the demons with ehr magic. The Archangels are kinda carrying this war though.

One of the more important part of the episode is Monspeet and Derieri's return! I knew they weren't dead ever since they "disappeared". Seems they are living normal lives now. RIP the girl that helped them though. However, I'm disappointed by Estarossa's arrival. In the manga, the girl got destroyed in a terrifying matter but the anime felt really meh.

Monspeet's abilties are very impressive imo even though he didn't win in the end.

Those who got spelled by Ishida-san's character would crazily attack because they don't feel pain when got damaged, not just change personality.

Showing the war. Those humans w. spells thought they are invincible and not willing to listen to the princess that what they got is a dangerous spell.

There are still two enemies not wanting to get involved. The human girl who kept them alive got killed and they were found by one of the three. The two saved her soul and fought against that guy. Tsuda-san's character led the lady go. It seems like he liked her?

About a fairy w. the knight this time. Hawk cannot see it, though.

As someone who didn't read manga, this episode is 10/10. I wish they could show more fights and draw out the full power of each ten commandments.

Oof Monspeet is one of those characters that got trolled hard by plot armour xD He literally had the win before Estarossa tried to pierce Derieri. Also, I feel his death lost impact with such censorship but eh, that's been a thing since the beginning. Oh well... At least Elizabeth's clumsy scene was funny.

This season seems to be getting a lot of flack from all sides, but I've found it decent. Finding out some of the back stories, particularly Meliodas & Elizabeth was great.

Even the scene between Monspeet & Deirei in this episode was really good & heart felt imo. I love the epic scale of this season. All the minor characters and their inter woven relationships are being brought together in this season.

Some of the animation may not be the best & with the epic, grand battles & high stakes, the show doesn't have that cute adventure, fantasy feel that it usually does (or did in the first couple of seasons), but that's ok. The story is progressing towards its conclusion & I want to find out how things end as I haven't read the manga.

The Holy War has restarted again, that's for sure.

While Monspeet and Derieri have restarted their lives living as normal humans without their Commandments, the rest of Britannia doesn't see so. The Holy Knights along with the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins and Stigma's Four Archangels are battling against the forces that is the stronger-than-ever Demon Clan. Even if Elizabeth is without the helpful-turned-evil Meliodas, she's still trying her best. That clmusy falling scene was gold.

I'd say it's heartening to see both former Commandments' POV with Elizabeth's rescue when they were Indulas, but Estarossa forcefully finding them to forcefully take their Commandments (rather than them going straight to Zeldris) is a tragic and sad end, one that's worse for Monspeet to play the truth game about his own wellbeing. RIP Monspeet.

What I'm concerned about now is how to end this with just 2 episodes left.

Seven Deadly Sins season 3 isn't bad, it's actually good. And I'm so curious about why Zeldris decided to help Meliodas and more about Estarossa.

Found this little conflict pretty boring and obvious; that is, because it was just too obvious that Estarossa would regardless attempt to kill them rather than just take their commandments and leave.

I feel bad for both Monspiet and Derieri because it's there last moment together, because they could never hear there true feelings for each other.

Surprise surprise... The 2nd half of the episode was actually pretty well executed in terms of direction.

Nanatsu definitely delivers the feel episodes from time to time ;_;

Sucks that Monspeet and Derieri weren't granted to live on peacefully, really love that pair.

i just wish this show didn't look so bad! I really liked Monspeet and Deirieri's relationship; it always seemed like there was a little bit of good in them since Deirieri got wrecked by Elizabeth in s2. Monspeet's death felt really lack luster here; even though I tried to look past the horrible animation, i just couldn't get into it and before I knew it, Esterossa had murdered one of my favorite antagonists of the series..

This was actually a very well done episode. Actually I feel this was probably the best episode of the series and it's not even between the main characters...

Apart from the fact that the action scenes still look like shit, the story also took a nosedive imo.

The battle scenes with the human and demon army was pretty bad. Like, really, pretty bad. And, I don't know why like half of it was in CGI and half wasn't, but oof.

At least the other Archangels are acknowledging Elizabeth's ability.

Ah, so it turns out Estarossa is kind of a punk-ass bitch. Hence his need to overcompensate so much. Well, I'm guessing Monspeet's warning was enough foreshadowing. Estarossa will probably absorb what he can and go and try and face off against Meliodas and Zeldris only to self-destruct in the process, thus giving Meliodas the remaining Commandments.

It's like he's a mixture of a 1970s high school basketball player AND one of the cheerleaders on the sideline. Short shorts and a belly shirt. I just love this 👌🤣
