----------------------------------------
This episode felt depressing to watch. Not just the chaos that went down from the previous but the storytelling that unfolded involving Moriarty.

No one is really safe in this show after all. Even Mary is caught into a compromising position.

I don't know what to think.....

Moriarty did seem like a sociopath from time to time, like when he ripped butterflies' wings for no reason, but to think that that was the sole reason.

Watson's not dead yet tho there are 4 more episodes.

It just doesn't sit right with me at all, neither any of what unfolds, nor the way they went about unfolding it. That huge random timeskip in the middle already felt weird tbh. And now this total 180, having gotten us invested in and attached to a character, and then doing this complete "oh well i'm just an empty unhinged psychopath after all" bait and switch towards the very end? Gtfo. Next they'd tell us he had his sister killed too, on purpose, because why not.

There is a reason I mostly avoid anime with such themes, so on one hand you can say it's a classic case of "I didn't sign up for this", sure, I own that. On the other, even without that, I'm also not interested in whatever crap they made up, from this point on, the previous... I think two episodes were already borderline, but this one went way overboard as far as I'm concerned.

I'm sure John is alive. However, I'm not sure if Mary would be alive by the end though.

Moriarty killed Moran Trump? lol.

We were right about Moriarty killing his mum, but I didn't think we'd learn how he'd done it.

The thing about the empty tea pot made sense. I wonder if people like that actually exist.

More than Moran trying to evade all that's happened, trying to stop the pretenious deranged Moriarty now is of utmost importance to the Pipecat Bar's detectives.

Even at a young age, being exposed to murderous intent isn't his forte, but I'd suspect a red herring if he'd actually kill his mum for real or for his own sociopathic fun.

The one hope that Moriarty had was his sister Alex who'd persude him to be normal, but it didn't solve the crux of the problem. Tying with the Jack the Ripper case especailly, that his taste for murder grew even when he was brought into the prison. So THAT's the reason why he brought Taylor with him during the prison break.

ANYWAYS, Moriarty is a lost case all to himself, and bringing the manipulation along to Mary, being forced to kill Watson to save Lucy, it was all a meticulous plan to the succinct.

To think that both Sherlock and Moriarty are alike in mentality, the empty teapot resembling the heart of will, the moniker of "2 hearts become one" holds true. hoping that Watson is alive after that ordeal.

I hate what they did to Moriarty. I always suspected him to be a little psychopathic even from younger years on. But I didn't expect them to just make him THAT deranged - and I didn't like it. I hate evil characters, who are just evil for the sake of being evil with no real background or any motivation. I was ready to run with him being traumatised from having his sister brutally murdered or his time in prison finally hitting a switch or any of that sort. But that reveal of him having been evil and emotionless for his whole life is just boring.

Also calling it - John's not dead. It's still four episodes until the finale and this show doesn't have the balls to kill its main charater so early in the game. Also storytellingwise it's a rather bad time to do something radical like that. Still wish they would just leave him dead (which may be because I find this incarnation of John Watson to be annoying as hell. And I because hate fake outs).

Jesus fucking Christ, James! Well...you are Moriarity after all but Jesus fucking Christ! I had a strong feeling he wanted to either a. have an incestuous relationship with his sister or had one OR b. saw her as a toy to do with as he pleased, like taking her life away. Yep, he is freaking deranged.

However, I'm sure Watson is not dead. I'm sure Sherlock will solve it and beat his ass.

Watson definitely isn't dead for good imo. This episode was probably the most surprising out of them all so far. The most surprising parts for me were when child Moriarity killed his mom and all the murders in general in this episode tbh.

Moriarty really killed his mother... And the saddest/scariest part is that he didn't even fully understand what he was doing back then. He only saw his sister as his "prey" too. He also decided to just "shatter his teapot" and killed a lot of people to... Have fun and be free? Okay? But this is silly and it feels underwhelming. The whole thing with Lucy, Mary and Watson especially. Moriarty didn't seem to know that Lucy was being tracked, but to leave a hostage without anyone to keep guard over her? At least it seems that there was no one but her there. And Mary and Watson too. "Sorry, I have to kill you", "okay, kill me." Like, Lucy was being held hostage, but they had time and options, no? Moriarty just wanted a photo of it too. Couldn't they fake it to buy some time or something? Watson is a doctor after all, I guess he would know how to look convincingly dead in a photo. Welp, there's no way Watson is really dead though, and this is still kind of entertaining because I wonder what Moriarty is going to do next, and if Sherlock's "teapot" is just going to shatter without even confirming if Watson is really dead or not.

I don't know why but I had from time to time weird feelings during this episode that Moriarty is in reality Alexandra. :/

I don't like when bad guys perform a monologue to explain to the viewers who they are and why they act the way they do. That's something the anime should show us instead of simply telling us, and "I kill people because I'm empty" is such a boring and overused trope to me.

I just had to burst out laughing at the final shot of Mary crying over John. Nevermind retconning an entire character.

This show has really gone from a solid 8 to a 3 or so in just a couple episodes. Holy fucking shit.

It's refreshing to have a villain who is just straight-up evil and doesn't have some tragic backstory to make us feel sorry for them. Although I suppose there's still time for them to spring one on us. Anyway I'm 99% certain Watson isn't dead, and I have my doubts about the glasses lady, too.

It's not a 180 when he's like that from the start, he literally just explained everything

And no, he also already stated Maki stole his pray, u got so betrayed by this character your observation skill went to crap and didn't even pay attention lol

As for your 2nd paragraph, all irrelevant to this episode

basically u just want James to be a goody coz u got attached to the character, welp looks to me the bait and switch worked

The show does have it flaws like how James hypnotism, how does it work unless they explained it later on, and most of the time they don't bother how Sherlock solve cases he'll just connect the dots, case is over, we barely gets to see Sherlock explaining his deduction, like obviously no one would understand his BS kabuki, y'all should've turned away from that point knowing this wouldn't be your typical detective show, it's kabuki detective lol

That's how u make a criticism, not some irrelevant nonsense or shallow nitpicking and plain out wrong assumptions because u stopped paying attention

Because the early episodes are what were interesting. Solving crimes with interesting character dynamics, even if it's just a discount version of the actual Sherlock Holmes novels or other crime novels. Then it just throws all that out the window in favor of edgy kid who's suddenly evil.

If you were the least bit cultured you really wouldn't need to ask for an explanation.

As I thought, Moriarty is insane. I dislike him for the first time. I feel his character is so dark. In the end All Detective dancing in Moriarty hand. Depends on Sherlock what he gonna do. From the mystery into brutality murderer and all of this just for ''having fun''. Idk where the story will going.
