| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Probably the episode that adapted the least amount of chapters so far (only 2 and a half-ish). The first segment was funny, with Gintoki commenting on how Takasugi appeared at the end of the last season and still stole the show. I guess that edgelord is hard to beat, lol XD It was a really nice episode overall though, with some nice backstories for the Kiheitai members. The backstory segments had a really nice visual filter on it too, and the overall directing for the episode was cinematic-like. |

| I forgot about the second part of the Silver Soul Arc! The OP and Ed are great as expected from the modern Gintama. Alright, this first episode served its purpose as a flash recap of the last season and an into to this season + some backstory relating to Takasugi which is great! I have been wanting to know how Matako, Bansai and Takechi got affiliated with Takasugi, even though it's only a quick backstory. |

| They're off to a great start, I don't know if there's any reference to the pond scene but that was hilarious. A little backstory about Kihetai is nice :D And the OP is so good! Both OP and ED visuals feels so nostalgic I want to cry :'( 13 episodes left before the end 😭 |

| Nice OP/ED. So, that's where those two ended up. The show kinda forgot about them. lol I wonder if they'll have screen time soon. I wanna see that reaper chick in action again. That young Matako definitely has a nice fresh body. She still do at present. hehe |

| it pains me so much now that i've reached this far man. the last 14 episodes of 1 of my 2 favourite animes now. the kiheitai backstory was cool and takasugi being an interesting character as usual. |

| Great start to the second half. The backstory was quite nice, the flashback was also really nice and also the beginning with the draining, they really forgot about those 2, although I wouldn't be surprised if I forgot about seeing Asaemon. Now with that being said, OMG the OP and ED are the best, easily the perfect combination and my favorite opening from Gintama. The PV was really hype so I hope this is just as good. |
