THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was interesting, but not nearly as good as the first OVA. The budget must've been really low when they made this, and if you've watched it, you know what I'm talking about. Nora is apparently an ESPer now, having incredible power, and she also seems to be maybe a year or two older. Also, this is only half the length of the first OVA, and there's not much to it. The music was okay, but nothing to write home about. There's some mild laser rot in the transfer I watched, but it's not a problem, except that the last 30 seconds of the credits wouldn't play, so I had to use the ending clip of a VHS rip to see those last 30 seconds, which were a waste of my time anyway. Overall, it wasn't horrible, but it certainly wasn't anything great either. I liked the first OVA quite a bit, so I was kinda disappointed with this one. |

The first OVA is better for sure. The animation in the first few minutes, or should I say lack of animation, was pretty bad. Nora is a few years older, a bounty hunter and esper. Why not? The fight was okay, but the dancing scene halfway was pretty weird. Overall it was decent. |

Again, Nora is the one that really sells these OVAs for me though this one was a disappointment. Animation choppy at times and really nothing happened at all and maybe that was because it was shorter than the first one but eh. |

Well, this was bad. Poor Nora didn't deserve this. |

I don't think I've seen an anime that had so much blatantly unfinished footage before. What a disaster! |

I mean, the first one was dumb. But this one, was badly animated as well. |

Not sure why people are acting like the first one was good, because it clearly wasn't. This is equally bad but for different reasons. At least Nora isn't a helpless waif who's only powers are her feminine charm and motherly instincts anymore. We also get to see one of the most poorly animated dance sequences known to man kind. :P |

The animation of the hostage scenario was truly atrocious and the worst animation I've seen to date. Luckily there were pockets of OK animation and animation that was only off-model but still had in-betweens. The direction seemed to border on the surreal at times with this one. Thanks to Shirobako I can really guess what the behind-the-scenes on this like lol Frankly, I liked this one a lot better. Nora now has a job that matches her outfit, and she was pretty cool. |

In average, old anime is better and the 80s are still one of the golden ages of the medium. If this anime is not relevant, it's for good reasons. It does proves that waifubait was garbage, and still is to these days, though. I leave Kenny Lauderdale's review in here for the records. |

Well...I was planning to rate this at most a 5 since I thought that it couldn't get any worse than the first chase scene and it showed signs of picking up but rewatching that cave dancing scene with Max made me more nauseous separate to the nausea I already got while watching this in a car. I don't know why I'm so displeased looking at his face while he danced along with those choppy movements, oh god. It's pretty mediocre like the usual run-of-the-mill vintage anime but this one definitely stood out for all the wrong reasons. |

That awkward moment when the ending credits has more fps than the entire OVA. I did like the Nora song its really catchy everything else was considered so bad its good. |

That was awful. Sure, there were some pros, like very cute main character (Nora), original dubbing, general concept and soundtrack, but rest was terrible. Narration (or rather lack of it), very low frame rate of animation, weird scenes and other technical huge disadvantages. Too bad. It had potential in my opinion. |

The average is pretty much the same, 2 or 3 good series a season at most, the only reason you don't notice that old anime had just as much trash every season as newer anime is because you weren't following each season of anime back in 80s. |

At least most girls in 80s Anime had more realistic proportions, and there was no harem Anime, unless you count "Ranma 1/2," which was the only thing close to a harem at the time. It also helps if you prefer older art styles. The way an Anime looks is quite important to some people, and I'm not a big fan of newer stuff, as it's too shiny. |

I appreciate the support, Seiya =) The new location for Kenny Lauderdale's video, since the previous one was taken down for using a tiny itsy bitsy excerpt of Golgo 13 (Geeeh. Thanks, Copyright Gestapo. Fair use can suck your pinky...) It was slightly revised since then. I like to leave these overviews videos in their dedicated forum thread, it's always interesting even if you don't intend to watch the actual subject matter. |

Just like newer anime has tropes like isekai & harem, old anime has its own share of different tropes as well, it's fine if you prefer the tropes and cliches of older anime, but it did have them. As for art style preference, yeah, different people have different preferences when it comes to art style, it's very subjective. |

Seiya said: At least most girls in 80s Anime had more realistic proportions If you call barbie doll proportions realistic, sure... That being said, do we really need to turn this into another pointless and narrow minded "all old anime is the worst" "no all old anime is the best" argument. |

The music is actually good. OST is somehow longer than the OVA?! But why did Nora become so powerful? She can now use pyrokinesis, teleportaion, stopping time, hypnosis, telepathy and so on. She is basicly god now, with no explaination provided. |

Absolute garbage. Can't believe even Nora lose a big part of the charm that made her likeable in the first OVA. Also lmao at the author self-inserting into Max's character. Jesus, what a loser. |

Masterpiece anime, should be in hall of fame and they should build giant statues around the world to worship this amazing piece of art! |
