They all went silent and low key was trying to attack her. LMAO at the Kuu's being scared of Katze. Wow at that Rui scene. Still triggered me. Also, X should just probably say what it found so perhaps he comes to his senses if he hears it, but plot. ALAN!!!!!!! |

| I have a rough idea of what Gel and Katze has in common. They both thrive off human emotions but with opposing concepts. Katze enjoys chaos while Gel enjoys peace and unity but they both have the same effect on society in the end. In Rui's words, society won't be able to update if you take away their individuality and ability to think that's why Gel's idea of unity is basically dictatorship. He has good intentions but it just doesn't work that way and he has no idea of the repercussions of his actions. The society elected a child that has a very narrow sense of the world as their prime minister. The reason why Tsubasa supports Gel so much is because she's basically in the same train. Her thoughts are as simple as him and her grasp of justice is very naive. It was only a matter of time before shit goes down when you have children running society. Hajime tried to knock some sense into them but they're too stubborn or should I say simpleminded to realize it. What will you do now Hajime? |

| "Kuu-kuu"? Now that's a name. "Kuu" is "to eat" in Japanese. Pai-Pai's "ehem, uhum" give me life. Looks like those emotion bubbles turn red if the person delegates decisions to Gelsadra and loses individuality, in a sense. People with other colors aren't really happy with the Kuus. Lots of interesting dialogues in this episode (especially between Hajime and Katze; I also think he made a pun when referring to Gel and Tsubasa, but I didn't really get it). I wonder why did Kuus start with Alan? Or was it just one of many instances? Anyway, Alan had an "unpleasant" interaction with one of the Kuus somewhere in the middle of the episode. And he made a cameo later too, albeit without Kuus. Maybe him getting eaten is revenge for being a dissenter, lol. Speaking of which, did you notice what happened when Kuu hugged Sugane and Utsusu? It felt like they were sedated a little, like they lost most of their free will. Good observation. I feel like this season is sort of a criticism of Japan's collectivist culture? Hmmm. Also recall how Yuru-jii constantly stares at the WWII-time portrait...not exactly an individualistic period. Even the ED has some minority vs majority themes. P.S. The opening scene was almost the same as the ending scene of ep.7 with the exception of that sign with Gel's slogan. It's absent here. P.P.S. The answer to the riddle is "chaos", probably. Easy to start, hard to stop, and Katze's favorite thing. |
