This is why I still see yugioh anime interesting because of the reason they play some fun decks. Currently on Zexal but it's On-Hold because I just cannot bear the plot currently and the characters.

Just asking. The game is really fun for casual sense. Yeah, it boring to see the same deck when it comes to competitive Yugioh kinda show how stupid players are. Especially the TCG which people are willing to sell their house just to play the meta decks.

Yeah, I know especially I when I read YUGIOH reviews made by westerners that don't appreciate novelty and see it as a children card game even though it is not presented that way on the original. Though I love the card game because it always reminds me of the anime.

Since I can't see your list. By chance, you have seen Re:Zero?

People hated Yugioh because it doesn't teach you how to play the game in a competitive environment. But in the first place, Yugioh Existed before the card has a stable ruling and hit the western audience. So Yugioh anime not following the rules is justified actually the real-life card game not following the source material is the sin since it was modified to be somewhat balanced. Bunch of foolish people. Imagine Egyptian God Cards Immune to card effect and stuff. Instead, they just nerf them in the real game.

Yes, the characters are the sole reason why the story, music, and animation have significants. I don't like sports anime but if it can create appealing and relatable characters it already did a good job. Since sports anime is a character-driven narrative. Who actually watches sports for the sports alone, people watch the players of course so how they can draw some inspiration from them. Not everybody has a chance to play and participate in big events so people really admire their hard work. Come to think of it felt like you are also part of the team in Run with the wind. Every time you support the character's struggles and cheer for them, we felt like we are superficially part of the team. Just saying. It's a great show. Certainly goes to my recommendation list of not so long sport anime along with Ping pong the Animation.
