Lol... that's hilarious if that's the case. Might as well watch a romance anime if you want that or check the tags. There will always be fanservice in ship pairings in every show so there isn't really a need to ask the question.

No that is not true, not all shows have romance or significant enough teasing to qualify it as having romance. If you're saying that there will always be dumbass shippers for anything than yeah, I can agree with that. People ship things that are completely and utterly devoid of romance so that's not saying much of anything.

He's not saying that every show needs romance, he's just asking if there is any in this series. Even if he doesn't want to watch it if it doesn't have romance, that's his choice. Answer the question or STFU, seriously.

If there is something to add, that would be that later on,

But that you will not see that in the anime.

That's just someone who hasn't read the novel assuming things though. Do no take that seriously.
If you think a little, you should have seen that the person who said what JudeMaxwell quoted is a moderator. Think moderator would try to spoil you? As for romance spoiler, I'm afraid the title of this thread is saying "spoiler welcome" so if you enter the thread, get ready to be spoiled about romance, I can't save that.

May i ask why? I did read the character synopsis, and i guess i have a bit of an idea maybe, but it'd be better to know for sure. As Will444 said, some people, including me, like to know what they're getting into.

HAHAHAHAHA, I won't spoil. There will romance, but not in the way you expected it (currently). I have finished Volume 5, and oh my.

Let me give you a hint: Don't think, but feel. The entire novel/anime wants you think. It presses you to look for answer. As a result, any spoilers will weaken the impact (unless you read the novel yourself). I spoiled myself on the romance aspect, but it didn't change anything for me since it spurred me to read the novel instead.

On the other hand, if you have no intentions to read the ln, then I suggest that you don't look for the answer. Knowing the answer is great! But the sad thing is that this entire novel makes you feel for the characters. You will actually feel it if something doesn't seem right. Things will always be consistent, but because it's so consistent that when something goes wrong, you'll feel absolutely...conflicted.

Quite a number of people have given you an answer, but it won't satisfy you. Depending on how you perceive the matter at hand, there IS and there ISN'T romance at the same time. I won't tell you what it means. As I have said - feel and not think. Rokka no Yuusha messes with your mind, and makes you come up with theories all the time. The fun isn't whether your theory is right or wrong, it's the progress to the expected result that makes you feel absolutely conflicted.

Anyway, ship whoever you want. If you listen to anybody about whether there is romance or not, then you'll be forced to arrive at the same answer as them.

Answer to this question is extremely spoilerish, as it's heavily linked to the main plot and would spoil up to end of volume 6 if answered fully.
Such an answer has absolutely nothing to do on the anime part of RnY board, since the anime only goes up to end of volume 1 right now.

If you want to get such a critical info, go to the LN part of the board and look there instead.


And if the question you want answered is "is there any romance in the ANIME itself", then the answer is "yes, a little, but it's not the main focus". If the answer is about the LN, then ask the question on the LN board.
