Man, Godai's grandmother freaks me out. Not in personality of anything, but her character design. She looks so much more unrealistic compared to the others. Anyway, we got another golden Maison Ikkoku moment at the end of the episode and Ibuki met grandma and was nice in her attempts to win her over.

oh wow how long has it been since we have seen kozue-chan? Man it seems like her relationship with godai just kinda faded away without notice. i wonder if there will be a similar plot with her and kyoko being the focus just like with yagami and kyoko

If I was Kira's grandmother, I would instantly see that Yagami is the perfect girl for my grandson. Maybe a little too perfect so I would not want him with such a great woman.

Have Godai and Kozue drifted apart? Long time since we last saw her and their meeting seemed formal. She also mentioned meeting a "man in the personnel section."

Takahashi drew Shampoo's grandmother (in her other work, Ranma 1/2) the same way, and it freaked me out there, too. I think my least favourite character designs of all of Rumiko Takahashi's characters are the 'grandmothers' who're the size of raisins... and just as shriveled-looking.

So Kozue actually landed a pretty decent job. Hopefully the same thing happens for Godai. Given that he's worked at part-time jobs, you'd think he'd have prepared reference letters already...

I find it funny that Kozue-chan isn't even aware of Ibuki's existence, that shows how much their relationship is lacking, clearly it's essentially over between them.
Haha Ibuki's first encounter with Godai's grandma was hilarious! She did a complete 180 the moment she realized the women she unwillingly helped from the train station was in fact Godai's grandma. I'm sure she's glad she didn't display her attitude towards her and kept her mouth shut. "Who does this old hag think she is." xD

God I love Ibuki! Why couldn't Godai fall for her instead!?!
As for Kozue, she doesn't even realise what's going on between Kyoko and Godai. In effect she hardly even sees Godai and they don't even kiss, she must be the naïvest girl ever - she hasn't got a clue!

Man, that shot of Godai in Kyoko's lap at the end was my favorite part of the episode. And tbh, it makes me wish I had someone who would look at me like that lol.

It also seems like Yagami isn't going away any time soon. But at least she continues to give the much needed push to Kyoko and Godai's relationship, so I don't mind too much.

Sad episode, but a nice ending.
Going to be a bit of filler before anything interesting develops.

I also thought that! Did they break up offscreen but still decided to stay friends? 'Cause that's the vibe I'm getting from these two.

I also enjoyed the lap scene :)

Also just realized that Godai was imagining his "future", he hasn't done that in a long while ( kinda miss it lol)
Hope Godai finds a decent job( because getting a job from a high profile company is unlikely :( )

Ahh, episodes with Godais grandma are always good. Many precious moments like granny who shared the wine with Kyoko or later when Kyoko stood up for Godai.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Greatest character of this series has made a comeback, grandma sure makes things funny with that banzai

Long time since we have seen Kozue, I wonder what happened she didn't act ike the usual, as if there is nothing going on between her and Godai other than friendship

Damn on a second look Grandma Godai is indeed wayyy too short like she's so close to disappear into the ground. lol and wtf is in her luggage, too heavy!

Damn this is the first time I think we've seen the tenants saying something positive to Godai without being sarcastic. Good Luck Godai.

next episode seems like a hardcore filler.

Damn never thought the last minutes hits really hard for some reason. I also really feel the desperation of Godai when he says he will find a proper job for better future. Golden moment right there

So Ibuki is a hypocrite. She only does things just so they could benefit her directly. Wow I'm so surprised. I hate people with such mentality irl with a passion and would do so for fiction as well.
Godai's jobhunting sends shivers down my spine.
Granny Godai is actually a nice person.

Exactly, you can't imagine how much energy it takes to find a job.

This job hunting shows how much preassure japanese society puts on young people and Kozue chan laid it down harsh on Godai san; For a man, it's something that'll define his whole life. It'll determine your future. Actually, it was propably intended as a pun, being so hardcore :P

My guess is that Godai-Kozue relationship just faded away, we haven't seen them together on screen so propably they haven't seen off screen either, both being busy with scholl and other stuff, idk.

Grandma is of course rooting for her grandson's success and to see Godai san get together with Kyoko san, and she sees clearly through Yagami chan and her intentions.

In Godai san's dream Kyoko san had short-er hair, doesn't really suit her :/

Grandma still as fun as the last time she appeared :D and thanks to her, there's was very little of Yagami, yay!
So weird to see Kozue again, I would like to think she has move on from Yuusaku but probably not lol
