This is a list of all the ships that clubmembers are currently sailing on in the New World. Once you have created a character, you can apply to join a crew using the Template found in The Marketplace. Groups of people also have the option of requesting having their own crew and ship added to the list, also done through the Template in The Marketplace.

"Sanity's Edge" is an 250 foot Ironclad Steamsailor, one of the smallest ships of the ironclad class. Lighter and simpler in its design then its big brothers, the Edge houses up to 30 people comfortably in its hull while retaining the ability to be sailed effectively by just 4 people. Its hull and core frame, armor and bulkheads are all forged in steel, hence the name Ironclad, and stays afloat due to its width displacing a lot of water. Sanity's Edge has two masts for sailing, and a simple but sturdy steam engine below deck. The engine however have seen better days, and requires a skilled Inventor to fix.

It sports 16 <!--link--><a href="
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dahlgren_gun">Dahlgren Smootbores</a>, placed down midship and along the stern of the ship.
8 <!--link--><a href="
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RBL_20_pounder_Armstrong_gun">Amrstrong 20'Pounders</a>, scattered across the upper deck.
And finally two massive <!--link--><a href="
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RML_17.72_inch_gun"> 450mm Howitzers</a>, mounted in protecive stress-reducing casings within the bow of the ship. Currently they are retracted, hidden and stuck inside the hull, and cannot be used unless yanked lose by a really strong bastard or a clever Tinkerer.

Bulkhead-protected Armory,
Brig,
underwater dock, and more.
It can sail virtually any weather unharmed, and cannot be careened due to being bottom-heavy and being already for the most part below the waterline. It is, however, slow as a tortoise. Its keel sticks deep and so it cannot go close to shore or where the water isnt deep enough. Its uniquely voulnerable to submersed assaults, having no way to defend the parts of the ship sticking underwater. Its dreadful maneuverability wont have it winning any agility contests, nor will it save you from a pirate chasing you down unless the wind is in your favor. It will however deflect most cannonfire like flies against a brick wall, relying on the chasing ship literally giving up or running out of cannonballs. Becouse of its heavy bulkheads and hull, the ship is also extremely difficult to board without the right tools as most boarding parties would find themselves stuck on deck with no way inside.
