Both Animatrix and Halo Legends are based on US material and have a similiar structure, with each episode having a unique style and represents its own story.

Very similar concept. Famous brand adapted by short anime-style episodes. Each created by another studios/specific style.

Both are anthologies based on some source material and created by various studios and directors.

Both shows have similar vibe going on in a sci fi setting. They feature war between a natural race and a superficial race with philosophical themes. The super soldier concept is identical though.

Similarities - Both worlds have intergalactic space battles between space factions - Both worlds have a 3rd faction that consumes life indiscriminately - In both worlds, the intergalactic warfare is temporarily ceased to fight the common enemy Differences - Knights on Debris has the above but on a much smaller scale with way less chars on both sides - Halo Legends intergalactic warfare is about humans fighting the covenant, an intelligent alien species VS Knights on Debris warfare is about humans fighting against an evolved, superhuman species. - Halo Legends is more militaristic VS Knights on Debris is more adventure/scifi - Halo Legends is a 2D Japanese anime VS Knights on Debris  read more

"A Farewell to Arms" / "Buki yo Saraba" and "Halo Legends" each depict futuristic warfare in unique perspectives where elite soldiers are sent to remote locations to deal with emergency militarised situations.

Same deal. Based on sci-fi video games, about space troopers engaging aliens invasion.

Sin: The Movie and Halo Legends are both based on First-person shooter (FPS) video games from the US. They are both action-packed anime with a lot of gun action and feature the main hero fighting against evil aliens.

Much like the Gold Tribe before them, the Forerunners saw the Humans, in this series, called "Reclaimers" as the true heirs to their technology, just as the Golds left to the Iron Tribe their legacy. Each series also features a highly advanced enemy civilization who has been studying/worships these ancient beings, seeks to find them, and claim their knowledge, and is upset at the fact that human beings possess something that they dont, for which there is war and fighting. Also each human faction has thier own savior, for the Iron tribe it is Age, and for the Humans/Reclaimers, theirs is the Spartans, specifically Master  read more

The silent supersoldier is the sword in the hands of whoever wields it. It matters not who they answer to or who they are, but how they fight and what they accomplish for those who commissioned them. Both the characters from Phantom and the Spartan supersoldiers went through alot for their organizations. Stealing children and subjecting them to Rigorous training and augmentations with a high mortality rate to create a silent, deadly killing machine that carries out orders without question. Though it could be argued that the UNSC fights for a noble cause, the fact still remains that the process to create the SPARTANs was  read more

Okay i know what you are thinking " how are they similar" well story wise not that much. However there are videogames of each and they dont follow the story of the animation. There is mecha, (Prototype in Halo) and there are characters featured in the game, Dr. Halsey in Reach and Moon Doggy, Holland and Eureka in Eureka Seven Game I like both even if you dont see them similar to eachother, I am obsessed with both
