Black Cat

Both main characters have a dark past that lurks beneath the surface. Black Cat takes a more comedic outlook on the whole thing, while Darker than Black takes a more morbid outlook. 

Both storys have a mysterious mainchara with great strenght And some cute girls ^^ 

Characters are very similar (emotionless girl, main character is assassin who flees from organization and has a painful past, hard boiled detective and so one) Also setting and story is somewhat similar 

Bad pun not intended, one could call Darker Than Black a "Darker and Edgier" version of Black Cat. They have very similar components and characters (organization of assassins/supernatural killers of which the main character is a part of, and each have different powers; mysterious waif emotionless girls; hero getting tangled up with figures from his past along the way, etc etc) but DTB does things with much more drama and blood. Also, the atmosphere of both just seem similiar as well. +voice casts are ridiculously similar and soundtracks are reminiscent of each other 

Black Cat and Darker Than Black both deal with assassins. While Darker Than Black has a main character with supernatural powers, Black Cat also has a main character who is highly skilled and is incredibly fast (this gave him the name Black Cat). I enjoyed both quite a lot since there was nonstop action and suspense. This is why I recommend Black Cat. 

Though the storylines aren't exactly the same, fans of Black Cat may enjoy watching Darker than BLACK: Kuro no Keiyakusha. Both series revolve around a mercenary and include lots of action and a bit of the supernatural.  

You can say those 2 main characters of both anime are assassin under a big organization . i think the story line is bit closed , But 2 different attitude . they both in tragic situation . and same genre too - action  

Both the main characters are assassin and the environment of both anime is kind of similar  

the dub voice cast is similar. E.Jason Liebrecht plays both hei and train(Train="black cat" and hei="BK201"), Brina palencia is Yin and Eve who both have similar personality and past. the storyline is very alike. I was a fan of DTB and when I watched Black cat, I just fell in love with the series so yeah. 

Similar concept. A group organization that has control over the people with powers which was caused by a military accident. Now it's them against the world just like darker then black but funnier. 

The two series are similar in several ways. Both main characters work both with and against an organization which tries to control them but cannot, and the heroes of both have something that is just similar about them, they both eat a LOT and they both are voiced by the same actor in the English version. There is a real similarity in some of the tone of the story and the unique cast. Darker than Black is very well animated and has a great music score. I think if you like sci fi /mystery and like one you will like the other. read more 

Both stories run around a main character who's a loner and highly skilled at combat and have enemies with supernatural powers. 

Bad-Ass individual fights super powered enemies in modern times.  

Dark Place, an unique assassin, a special girl, and some loyalty. If you like "Black Cat", you can like (I think you love :) ) Darker Than Black too.  

Assassination is a huge part of both of these shows, how it changes a person, how it is hard to escape, etc. There are also huge underground organizations in both of them. Black Cat is more fun, Darker Than Black is more intellectual, but both are exciting and executed very well. 

Black Cat (TV) and Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha are both about assassins, but that’s not all they have in common. Both have a similar feeling and cast of characters, and there are quite a bit of shared voice actors as well. There is one thing that separates the two, however: the tone. Black Cat (TV) has a bit of a lighter tone with quite a bit of funny moments, while Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha has a much darker tone, and there isn’t as many funny moments. While I found similarities to both Cowboy Bebop and Black Lagoon in Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha as well, I honestly think that Black Cat (TV) is the closet anime to Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha out there. Black Cat has a job called "sweepers" and GetBackers has a job of "retrievers". While the "sweepers" just hunt down wanted criminals, the GetBackers retrieve various things. Both have the rule, you don't kill anyone if at all possible. the adventures end up being in ways, misadventures. 

Both are fantasy-tinged action-centred series about groups of freelancers with unusual areas of expertise. In both series the main characters' backstories become gradually increasingly important, with their attempts to discard their pasts giving way to confrontation and conflict. 

In both animes the characters are followed by their past, and have to fight it. Also they have a great sense of protecting each other. Both have nice action, it's really funny and in both animes the music is made by Taku Iwasaki !!  

Full of action, quirky heroes with dark pasts. Storyline very similar as well.  

Both surround a couple of guys with special abilities fighting to help people and deal with the friends, foes, and organizations that become involved in the conflicts. The feel and animation style is fairly similar in both, though the relationships and backgrounds of the characters are quite different. 

For Black Cat and GetBackers, they share a number of similarities in terms of their settings, motives, and characters. The characters from both series has skills that helps them get their jobs done as they often require superhuman efforts, intellect, strategies, and teamwork. There's also a bit of past relationships with various characters that are explored. There's certain degrees of comedy but also combines it with emotional factors. For the story itself though, conflicts are settled and past secrets are revealed. 

Both are awesome action stories with similar style. If you liked one you'll like the other. Trust this sempai :] 

Both series has similar darker tone to its story and presentation. Both of them are full with likable characters whom are making lots of funny scenes with each other when they are not busy with their individual drama. Both anime contains a charismatic villian who makes an everlasting inpression on the viewer. These two anime are manga adaptations. 

both anime main character Chrno and black cat betray in order to save the loved one's.both are old animes.  

These are pretty much animes cut from the same cloth. Similar art style, similar character development, similar themes. Needless the say I enjoyed them both. 

Both have pretty serious plot lines and involve guns (which is pretty epic). The antagonists both have white/silver hair xD 

In both these anime, there is an organisation against evil. Both anime start of with a plot that seems pretty simple but evolves into a story that is much more complex and filled with a variety of emotions. I watched black cat first and immediately fell in love with it. When I watched the first episode of Chrno Crusade it didnt take long to think that it reminded me of black cat. 

The anime "Black Cat" fits very well as a recommendation for "Chrno Crusade". Both series have a similarly dark undertone, but present themselves with likeable characters who do a lot of nonsense besides their actual "job". The antagonists are charismatic, so you can't/won't just call them the bad guys. Both anime are based on a good manga and also offer a respectable drama element, similarly structured in both cases, revolving around loved ones and betrayal. Also, the characters go through a very parallel development and the plots of the anime seem very simple in the beginning but then become more complex, especially as the stories fill up with more and more emotions. Furthermore, the drawing style is very comparable and both series are musically on a very good level, so that one can recommend both series as good entertainment. Both main character is skilled in gun, both always act stupid but has a more deeper and serious attitude and both has an important girl in their past. 

Both series revolve around legendary gunmen, though Trigun doesn't touch on the aspect of assassins as much as Black Cat. However, action anime fans are sure to love this series, so buckle up and let the bullets fly! 

the protagonist in both the stories uses gun.... both at the beginning of the story were "assassins" but changed their way of living in time because someone made them realized what life is. 

Both have friends that tempting them to join them but refuse and both are try to be different and change themselves for the better of the future 

If u liked to love-ru and especially yami go ahead and watch Balck Cat it's like a prequel to to love-ru. Check it out it's totaly worth it. But donnot start watching Black Cat while expecting panty shots and things like that. Black Cat does not have funservice (and if it does it's not at to love-ru lvl.). 

They have similar characters, as Kyoko and Yami, who, like Eve, is a biological weapon designed to kill, and can also transform your body. 

It has so many similiar characters  

Its not exactly the plot or the action. Its more of the characters, and how great they are. The two main characters have a pretty similiar feeling of killing. All of the characters are very well done too. The comedy is very similiar in both series. They do have there differences though. 

Both story revolve around a main character who is an assassin and both have a secret dark past. Protagonist later turns away from the bloody path and decides to never kill again, in order to repent for his past actions. 

Both protagonists are former assassins that want to live more peaceful lives, but their pasts refuse to stay buried. 

Both of these series are focused on two male bounty hunters. In both, one is lazy, and the other one is hardworking. They have the same difficulty in finding bouties big enough to provide for them. And in both, the lazy bounty hunters are trying to forget and run from their past, which does not relent in pursuing them.  

Heroes in both story have dark past. Villain worked together with hero in same organization; Killed the girl hero loved; Villain uses sword, while hero uses a gun. Hero works as a bounty hunter with his two other friends and a kid. The difference is Cowboy Bebop is episodic and dark with unhappy ending while Black cat is comedic and has a happier ending.  

Both main characters (Spike and Train) are bounty hunters and former members of evil organization. Both series are episodic (more so in Bebop than Black Cat). Both series has a character that loses an eyeball. Both series have memorable theme songs (more so in Bebop than Black Cat). Both series have a notable main villain with white hair (Creed in Black Cat is by far the more dynamic of the two). Train = Spike Sven = Jet Rinslet =Faye Eve = Ed? If you loved Cowboy Bebop, chances are you'll enjoy Black Cat as well. 

A mysterious caracter, a similar mood with side stories  

Both have protagonists using guns and involve bounty hunters. The main characters later decide to protect the targeted victim from these organizations who want them, each having something in store for them that doesn't spell something good. 

both are action packed bounty hunting stories with lots of violence in it. 

The main weapon is a gun. They are also looking for money in black lagoon. The art and the the surroundings in black lagoon kind of reminds me of black cat. Altso there is a team of both genders as main characters. I think at least this anime is quite similar to Black cat 

Has an expert shooter, a new person on the team and involve business-oriented jobs. 'nuff said, watch this if you like the badass main character... 

There is something about these two shows I can't quite place my finger upon, but thinking about it, two male protagonist with a meekish - not really what Eve is - female making a triad character base, but fantastical elements and an attempt to break new grounds regarding the plot make each compelling to watch at least once. 

Both series revolves around the theme of hunters taking on tasks ahead of them. Both series contain a plot mixed with action, drama, and comedy. At the same time, there is also emotional moments among the characters and the dangers they deal with every day.  

Both anime are almost the same, they start with the underworld assassins and they manage to get away from that word to a certain person. They try to survive and not be killed by that underworld and survive. The same story can you say is the same in both anime. 

Both are dark themed action stories that focus on hunting down the bad guys as well as lots of strange shit happening from time to time as well too. 

The stories are fat fetched but the main characters in black cat and full metal panic are similar because you have a serious main character and complete nut job anarchist and a side characters that's always silly and needs to get laid! 

Honestly, the only thing that kept me watching in both these animes is that the main character is really strong and beats the hell out of everyone. So if you liked Kaze no Stigma or Black Cat for that reason, you'll probably like the other too. 

Both are about hardcore assassins who go from killing with no emotions to not killing and having emotions.  

Both series focus on a group of people using their abilities to stop criminals, with an overarching storyline of group vs group. They have similar feels in tones and character relationships.  

i first find their illustration style similar whem watching it always reminded me of Tengen Toppa.. then plot and characters seem very alike -especially gathering all characters together in a little stupid way:P finally they both have a little 'absurdism' and lots of fun ^-^ 

Both anime are about an anticriminal organization, each one have diferent abylities and powers and the genres are similar 

People change. Everybody can. Ever wondered what causes people to change? Nothing much, just a little bloodshed and loss. LOL see characters change as they go through the hardest,saddest,funniest moments of their life while getting new powers and losing powers. 

Both follow a rag tag group of individuals who end up opposing god, they both have a large cast of ability users and specialist, it also is based on the story of Adam and Eve. 

Like Guns and battles between organizations? Well, this one should be right for you! It's like he "Romeo and Juliet" except vice versa. Hehe. I watched this a few years back but it's still promising, not to mention there are cats. This story is about Train Heartnet, an assassin that used to work for the Chronos Organization that meets Saya Minatsuki who changes his point of view for Train. She was later killed by Creed Diskneth. A great plotline that would make your eyes stick to the screen. Just like Rentaro vs. Geastrea in Black Bullet this one is Train vs. Creed (Chronos) He has number 13 I think , a mark that tells you that you work for Chronos but since he doesn't do that anymore he doesn't serve it anymore and make his time on the rooftops drinking milk like a cat should.  read more
