Tokyo of the future, destroyed by disaster in the past, is going through the darkest time. The police is helpless against monsters, flooded the city. The only power, that is able to resist the evil, is special female squad, including various kind of extraordinary characters. The only diffrence is that Silent Mobius is more mystic than Bubblegum Crisis.

both shows have militairy and (geo) political organizations that have their own agenda to face the threat,an non-human entity that wants merge everything. the ending of the show is simmilair to me because of the villian transformation and the scream-singing just like in rahx. there is some mecha-human fusion in bubblegum crisis but in a small way, in rahx its almost a prominent thing for a " dolem' to sing while operated.

Both about teenagers in small Mech-like super suites fighting humanoid, bloodthirsty monsters. Similar animation and aesthetics.

both have a team in power armor fighting rogue machines. the virus in virus buster serge is very similar to the boomers in 2040, having the ability to melt and reshape metal, phase through it and assimilate other machines they come into contact with. serge(the main character) has a similar story to sylia in 2040, the same old enemy to face. the weirdest part is that the endings of both are almost exactly the same, and take place in the exact same place.

Both anime are remakes of previous 1980s anime titles. In both anime, the main protagonists have access to armor/suits that provide them superhuman abilities and allow them to combat evil monsters that can resemble human. Both anime are also highly action-packed. If you like one, you should like the other as well.

Neon Genesis and Bubblegum had more in common then any other anime I've seen except bubblegum wasn't quite as dark or physiological. Both have robots/mechs that are created by humans that go crazy and the humans fight back using the very machines they created that went crazy. Check Neon Genesis if you're craving a darker and deeper bubblegum

Gadgets, guns, and girl power! Both series feature beautiful, kick-ass heroines, fast-paced battle action, dangerous secrets, government conspiracies, and plots that keep you guessing from one episode to the next (in a GOOD way). Loved Éclair? Priss can deliver. Sylia on your wallpaper? Make room for little Lumière. And don't forget the popcorn for those marathon sessions. ;D

Both have a group of superheroes, in Chouja Raideen they are only men and in Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 they are women. In the beginning of the story it’s kind of repeating little before the real story begins. Some of the support characters serve the same role too. I think you will like Chouja Raideen more if you like comedy more as it has funnier events than Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040.

Both series focus around a team of girls in cyberpunk / future Tokyo, but here's a breakdown of their most similar characteristics. BGCT = Burst Angel (near future) year 2040 = year 2050 Priss = Jo (rebel/lone wolf) Linna = Meg (normal girl from the country) Nene = Amy (youngest girl, genius computer hacker) Sylia = Sei (the leader that has some rich resources) Mackey = Kyohei (wimpy teenage boy that hangs around) Galatea = Maria (mysterious but powerful rival related to one of the main characters) Nigel = Leo (older mechanic dude, although there’s also a guy named Leon in BGC) AD Police = RAPT, Osaka Police (rival police force) Leon,  read more

Action and destruction are unavoidable with badass main characters that have a pinch of mecha and supernatural phenomenon. 'Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040' shows how girls rock the battlefield without any idea of the real purpose of their fights. 'Betterman' on the other hand is plain smashing and killing with the all powerful male character.

Both about robots in the world, both question society & life. Both are about a police type force to protect.
