Gamified world with absurdly ovewrpowered protagonist akin to being a cheater, a power fantasy for a videogame fan, as is reflected in the similar designs of the main character.

The dungeon world and mechanics behind the leveling system are similar. And, in the same way for DanMachi and Solo Leveling, the main character powerlessness and potential for improvement at the beginning of the series makes you rooting for him and wanting to witness his road to success.

Sung & Sunraku fight tough monsters to level up in a similar game fashion setup, both are fun action packed series with various entertaining fights against a variety of foes to get through.

The main protagonist from Ore dake Level Up na Ken and Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari are pretty similar. - They both are among the chosen people to save the world. - They started weak, and often getting underestimated by others. - They are trying to learn and adapt with the new system they got. - After a lot of hard work, they become stronger and reliable. There is also a similarity in how they have to fight the monsters in a specified zone.

Solo Levelling and Gate share similar concepts where a fantasy realm converges into the real world through an actual "Gate" or Portal in the attempt to wreak havoc to the people on earth. The weaponization power systems and organizational structure is well explored to bring a level of realism and more high stakes. On top of that, political & business agenda's are often used as pretext for power plays when it comes to dealing with the fantasy realm and its elements. What's slightly differentiates between the two shows is that humanity has an overwhelming advantage and stability in the world of Gate: Jietai. Whereas in Solo  read more

Both have strong subordinates, Both subordinates have absolute loyalty to him, And they carry out their orders without question. Both are also based on a game.

Both shows are set in the real world where adventurers can go into a dungeon in another world to fight monsters and earn money and status. The MC in both shows start out on the bottom.

Both of these shows share bloody action and lots of fast-paced fights. They also emanate a similar vibe that I think both fanbases like about their shows. I don't think all fans of either show will definitely enjoy the other, but I definitely think they should give it a try.

Similarities: -Both anime are famous and must watches on Crunchyroll. -They both have catchy openings songs and sick battles (officially) every episode. -The characters posses super powers, the protagonists also get stronger and gain new abilities once the story progresses. -Fantasy elements. -Based on manhwa. Please check out these two series if you are expecting an fantastic martial arts or adventure anime with tons of lit action.

If you are loving Solo leveling, i think quanzhi fashi is for you guys as well. Even though it's a kind of an isekai but it has similar trope and really great world building. Trust me , you won't regret watching it even though it's a low budget anime so keep your expectations low about the animations and all.

both anime share a lot of similiraty in the aspect of the mixed reality and going thru portals to change world. the way they interact with the world is also look alike of a video game. both are going into the world collecting drop items as any other dungeon anime.

The MC in this show has the exact power that the MC in solo leveling has. A game like UI where he's prompted a quest he needs to fulfill then he'll get a reward, or a penalty if he fails. Also is overpowered

These shows aren't just power fantasys they're overpowered fantasys. Both great shows for when you just wanna switch your brain off and watch a near untouchable MC just wreck S***

Both shows include an overpowered protagonist who consistently outplays and beats monsters with ease following a training arc. OPM is much more comedic, SL is not so much.

It's very similar in terms of how each get stronger as it goes on and both have that Isekai vibe, I know anyone who watches this will absolutely love it!

These shows feature a protagonist in a system that seems like a video game, but is still real. The MC trains themselves and learns new skills through the system, and learns to fight in bloody, faced-paced action! I know you Solo Levelling fans enjoy that. I think that these shows are both unique, but have a good overlap which means that fans of one will likely enjoy the other, but it will still be a new experience. Also, if you are seeing this on the Solo Levelling page and not the Darwin's Game page (which you probably are), there is huge fanservice at the end  read more

• Both are underdog stories where a weak protagonist suddenly become the strongest. • Generic plot but there are tons of action scenes with great animation which will keep you engaged. • There is a difference in Anime and the Manga/Manhwa artstyle in both the series.

There is “gate” in both anime. There are different ability level in human and in teams, some are high level and some are low level. Both are action, adventure, fast paced, good drama anime.

While fundamentally different in tone, design, and plot, there are a lot of similarities between both Solo Leveling & Re:Monster. Each protagonist starts with nothing and through leveling-up, unlocks game-like abilities with a key point being controlling others. Whereas Rou is born into the new world and levels up via eating, Sung Jinwoo levels up via fighting but unlocks abilities in almost an exact scenario that's displayed like a video game. Both series have each protagonist taking up leadership over a group of other creatures and using them to fight and continue growing. As they grow, their appearances change and become significantly "cooler," "mature," and "more  read more

Both animes (and other adaptions) have a serious tone with an accompanying group of close friends or interweaving relationships. The main character is OP and has a special *only me* talent. They also both have a younger sister. Both are looked down on a lot because their abilities don't match up with the mainstream beliefs of strength. Before their power is revealed they are practically considered the weakest. The main character is brought out during a climax to solve a catastrophe-level problem and both practically solve it alone. Mahouka is lighter, while Solo is heavier and more serious, but they have a similar feel regardless.  read more

The protagonist of both series starts off weakest compared to everyone around them; but rises through the ranks overtime to become the opposite of weak in each of their own way.

Similarities: - Both series include MC having a system window - Both series include MC completing tasks to progress - Both series MC become 'overpowered' overnight - Both series MC build a guild/team Differences - Kui cheng is chinese vs SL is Korean/Jap sub - Kui cheng is more comedy vs SL is more action - Kui cheng MC is more relaxed vs SL MC is more tense/on edge - Kui cheng has different themes/world to SL

"Secret treasure hoards, undiscovered wealth... mystical places, unexplored frontiers... 'The mysterious unknown.' There's magic in such words for those captivated by its spell. They are called 'Hunters'!" Hunter x Hunter Ten years ago, "the Gate" appeared and connected the real world with the realm of magic and monsters. To combat these vile beasts, ordinary people received superhuman powers and became known as "Hunters." Solo Leveling

Both MCs have to fight in order to level up. They also both fight giant snakes in their first encounters as weaker MCs. They also have similar motivations to protect the people they care about.

Powerful main character levels up outside of the system. MC has a strong personality and cares deeply for his family above anything else. Various characters with great personalities. Funny asides.
report Recommended by WyndMagyk
both MC gain new powers and second chance at life after narrowly avoiding death in a hidden dungeon they accidentally stumble upon solo levelling is more action oriented and high tension undead adventurer is more chill and slow paced

+ Both series are obviously a protagonist-centric story though it would've been better if 86 didn't have this writing element in earliest arcs. But if you prefer this kind of writing element emphasized in both of these series and couldn't care less about supporting characters written as two-dimensional and not developed that much, both of these series fulfil such requests. + Both series don't have a wish fulfillment kind of story as each of their premise is very dark and along the way will make you feel the depths of hopelessness that lets you sympathise the male protagonists. + Both are made by the same main studio  read more
