Both have that same girl who have communications problem, and a huy who is always with them, but there were still those differences that exist, for one Komi has major communication problem, she isn't deaf but she simply can talk even if her life depends on it, her guy on the other hand, has a rather complicated relationship with her , given that at one point he's dere dere to the girl, but on the next he avoids her, while in Aharen san , well she can talk, in a rather minimum volume, she's more like one part baka dere and one part kuudere, while her guy is lawyas with here in every moment she needs him.  read more 

Comedy series which primarily take place in a school setting in where the dynamics between a girl with communication problems and a male classmate is the heart of the comedic moments and what makes the shows what they are. Along with the comedy, they are capable of containing wholesome and heartfelt parts when necessary.  

Both shows are extremely wholesome comedies that star a shy loner girl with a visible communication problems and a nice, but ordinary boy who becomes her first friend. The female MCs each slowly opens up their worlds after befriending the respective male MC, quickly becoming inseparable. They both tend to occasionally hint to romance between the two main characters, without fully committing to it yet (both series, especially Komi-san, develop the romance more-so in the latter half of their respective manga).  

Both has a female main character bad at socializing and talking less and a male main character who is polite, kind, honest, decent, dependable and helpful.The female main character's first friend in new school is the male main character.The female main character is only comfortable with the male main character. Both male main characters assume that the female main character is having trouble doing something when the female characters get anxious.They try to help and cheer female main characters but mess up everytime and later on realize that the female main characters were trying to help them instead but were unconfident.Female main characters and male main characters later on chat (not actually chat, cuz female main characters talk less) to settle things down. read more 

Wholesome is the word many people can use to describe these shows! The main girls in both series are adorable and charming in their own way. Aharen and Komi are both soft-spoken first year high-schoolers who navigate through their school life trying to form friendships and strong bonds, especially with those in their class/school.

Both anime have a female main character who has trouble communicating. They are both pseudo-romantic comedies. In that they tease romance a lot, but never fully commit. They are both hilarious, and each has a fun, endearing main male character. 

Both the female MC’s have communication issues and the male MC’s are their first friends If you hate the side characters obsessing about komi then you should watch aharen-san Also, they are based in or around school/classroom 

Main Female has trouble speaking. Both friendships/relationships are cute and enjoyable to watch. 

Both female leads are sweet, quiet, and awkward and the male leads are nice guys who just want to help!!  

Both shows feature "strange students" who act socially-inept compared to the rest of their classmates. Both shows are slice of life with comedy elements that occur from the respective "strange students" awkwardly interacting with their various classmates. 

Has Same calm mood, a "less social" protagonist and his friend.  

Both Reina and Akira are small, timid, girl who grows attached to main male characters after they begin talking to her.. both are Dandere & Emotionless Girls who don't talk much but deeply cares about their friends and hangs out with them after school.. 

Short girls that have trouble communicating, and a dude thats trying to figure out what they are thinking.  

It's so adorable and both have a one character who suffer nose bleeding due to the cuteness. 

For me, they're both kinda similar especially for the troupe. The animation and characters design might be different but the personality and plot is kinda same. I will keep it short, if you love to watch anime that has a cold, cool, and mysterious loli style girl and also a dense but good-looking boy then you have to give it a try. It's a slice of life anime and it's very heart warming and cozy so better watch it while drinking some tea. Well then! Hope you enjoy watching it. 

Same concept of two classmates sitting next to each other. Both are procedural show, but Seki-kun is comedy-fitst with almost no plot while Aharen-san is romcom and has meatier story. Similar style of humor (misunderstandings and hyperactive imagination) and chemistry between main characters. 

At first I thought both series were from the same author. They're similar in the simple style, there's also a lot of overthinking on the MC's part. 

- both, veryy short main girl cast and very tall strong male cast. - they try hard to get along This is just randomly because of the height difference if I'm being honest but this show is also a comedy and has its deep and funny moments. 

Both Girl characters are quite and learn to be more outgoing by making a new friend. In Aharen-san wa hakaren the male friends is more quiet than in Jijou wo Shiranai Tenkousei ga Guigui Kuru Both are really good and are in the same kinda warm-your-heart genre.
