There's so many similarities between these two series! - Both series are very adventurous as each world or floor presents challenges the MCs have to overcome. - Both MC at the start of the series have a similar mission: to find someone important to them. And for that, they are willing to take grand risks. - Interesting world building - Great character relationships If you enjoyed HxH and are looking for similar vibe, Kami no Tou (Tower of God) is a great option.

Both originated from LINE Webtoons. They are both two of the most popular webtoon series currently on offer and therefore there is likely a huge crossover in the audience of both of these series. If you are big fan of one of these, it's definitely worth at least giving the other a try to see what all the fuss is about.

Both large mysterious worlds with great world building for their individual settings. Both have brave warriors who scale their respective challenges (tower/abyss). In TOG they ascend up the tower facing new challenges each floor. In Made in abyss they instead descend deeper into the abyss but again similarly face new challenges every new floor.

Both recent hit anime. Both have really good lovable characters with a wide range of creative designs. Both also have great art styles and OSTs.

Both thrust their characters into "new worlds" where they participate in death games to their various ends. Both are action heavy and have unique power systems & abilities.

Very similar premice. They are both situated in a ower and both are searching to go at the top while also learning the secret behind it.

Both have many elements of mystery. Both have great art styles, characters and gorgeous character designs. Both also have classic OSTs and extremely lovable characters.

The animation style and character design are very similar. Some themes of the original soundtrack of both anime really matches. In both appear creatures that are humanoid animals. All these reasons make the atmosphere of both series very similar.

>Both MC's have a specific goal in mind, for their own gain >Both have a number of challenges to do until they reach their goal (Islands for OP, floors for TOG) >Both have no way of telling when it will end (There could be infinite floors of the tower/islands) >Both are ongoing The differences lie in how TOG is much darker and has so far shown a much faster pace than OP.

Ascend the floors of hell to see the unknown top, MC seems to be a bit cool and a bit of an oddball, but still human

Both very similar fantasy anime. The tower in TOG draws many parallels with dungeons in Magi. Both also have unique power systems.

Both involve the granting of wishes for those willing to risk everything by braving the tower/the life of a Mahou Shoujo.

-Both of these titles include a plot which mainly involves ascending a huge tower to achieve something significant. -The main male protagonists are innocent, cheerful, and sweet but are then made to realize how much power they harbour within themselves. -If you enjoyed one, I highly recommend the other :)

Both take place in worlds with a great deal mystery that the series explores. Both also have vocal minorities that love to complain about them, despite the series being huge successes. So if you've heard something bad about either one, they're both worth watching and making your own mind up on.

Both have floors/levels the characters ascend in hopes of reaching the top. Both have their characters battling/fighting their way through each floor.

Same vibe - going off on an adventure in an unkown "world" with a certain set of rules. Both have good action and similar character types.

Although at first sight, you may think this is crazy as a similar recommendation. Both MC's start at the bottom. Both MC's initially are seen as worthless and weak by comparison to others. Both MC's are irregular to the standard population. Both MC's climb to a position where they have friends. Both MC's have ultimately a love interest that is unobtainable in the long run that causes them to make deep set choices. Both MC's struggle with the interacts with people due to a lack of initial societal interactions.

Similarities - Both MCs compete in a life or death game to have their wish granted - Both MCs have typical shounen, optimistic, power of friendship personality traits - Both game world contestants are young teens Differences - Tower of god is a literal tower with floors vs. AOTU game has game worlds - AOTU world is a chinese CGI donghua vs. Tower of god is a webtoon based, 2D japanese anime

If you enjoyed Darwin's game, you'll enjoy Tower of God; both anime's follow a main plot of having to 'break out of the boundaries', portrayed differently, however, both ultimately follow the same goal. In Darwin's game, the goal is to break out of Darwin's game, to enter the 4th wall essentially and win-over the system. In Tower of God; the goal is to become God itself, to climb to the top to then leave the tower and become an overruling power, thus obtaining anything you so desire. Both anime's are great, they both are animated well, with good openings and endings. Both 9-10/10

The protagonists of Oban Star Racers and Kami no Tou have the goal of getting their dream come true, which is granted by some sort of God. -In Oban Star Racers you get your wish granted if you win a race. -In Kami no Tou you get your wish granted if you get to the top of the tower.

In my opinion, there is a lot in common with these two series far away. Both speak about a tower that can grant a desire. Druaga no Tou like to be darker than Kami no Tou, but both are similar. I think that both are good series if you like a little mystery, action, and romance. I enjoyed both a lot, and I think that if you have free times, it can be a good choice

Both are a brutal yet beautiful fantasy story that is set in an alternative, dystopian feeling world in a kinda isolated entity (you keep wondering for a while what its place in the greater picture might be). If you love to be taken on a fanciful trip with a lot of emotions, brave hearts, some misteries remaining, awesome animation and some events that leave you wondering a bit about life - this is for you. Yet they have different style, I'm pretty sure if you love one, you'll enjoy the other one, too.

Ok, I know this one isn't a sports anime but listen - the setting is basically the same. Everyone is trapped in a big facility. There are multiple levels that challenge skills and morality - each level forces the characters to grow out of their own comfort zone. There's a goal, there's a ladder, and there's a game master. So, if you like the setting and atmosphere of Blue Lock - Tower of God might tickle your fancy.

Many combatants fighting each other with unique magical skills, abilities. Main protagonist is calm silent boy. There are students and teachers. I think both shows give similar vibes and are worth checking out.

Shounen style! someone that Shows up supper weak and finds out that is completely overpowered! Amazing anime to Watch! The story line is one of the best I have seen so far!

Both features a comic book style together with a more comedic tone with a cast of adventurers with unique superpowers going on an adventure with a lot of fight scenes where they accomplished an assigned goal. Both also follows unique worldbuilding's with elements taken from familiar worlds.

I noticed a lot of similarities between these two shows due to the mystery and splatter present in both. Both protagonists are external to the context and are catapulted into a world they know nothing about. Unfortunately these two titles have a confusing and unclear storyline and also both have an unhelpful protagonist supported by people doing everything for him.

Danganropa And tower of god Both same Theme play or die, PvP, And High Stakes Games

Both are Manwha adaptations where the main theme is about a young guy of a similar style and personality going through dangerous dungeons facing off many enemies and obstacles with the main goal of leveling up or getting to somewhere

Both involve clueless (as in how powerful they truly are) lead characters. Princesses remind me of Deities.

We see our main characters in both leave one world to enter new realities where they must confront various challenges and ascend through them in order to reach certain goals and learn more about their respective worlds. The levels of the tower and the games of Alice in Borderland have a lot of similarities as they are all varied deadly challenges with their own rules and most often conundrum types or puzzles. Action & mystery abound in both.

Both similar fantasy series. There are similarities between Magi's Dungeons and Tower of God's tower. They also have extremely powerful/op main characters but the series take place when the character is younger and has that potential but is still not fully matured.
report Recommended by JVskunkape
The dungeons that appear and grant those who scale them power is very similar to the tower that grants those who scale it whatever they desire. Both have great world building, OSTs, art styles and characters.
report Recommended by JVskunkape
In both these series external powers grant the whims of someone who accepts the cost/risk. Both also have great yet unusual soundtracks.
report Recommended by JVskunkape
Both have vast worlds with impeccable world building. Both series also have interesting & unique power systems.

Both have amazing OSTs which really suit the moods of the shows. Both also have great characters, art & humour.

Both anime with great world building but with a great deal of mystery surrounding their worlds. Both have very lovable characters that it's great to root for in their perils.

similar battling theme

Characters taking challenge of climbing dangerous Tower. Smart and mysterious partner? Deep world building? Both seem to have long stories. Tower of god seems to have the higher chance of reaching the end of its story compared to HxH. xD
report Recommended by vikki_asa
Children with special abilities strive to climb the tower. Both maincharacters are following their loved one even though not having any ability. Both animes have a theme of combats even though in Kami no Tou the characters have to compete with each other rather than against a shared enemy.

same non sense style, with a good animation, a good story and cool fights. give it a try.

Both recent "crunchy roll original" adapted massively popular webtoons. They share a lot of the same flaws, strengths and appeal. Both have really lovable characters with great character designs and world building.
report Recommended by JVskunkape
Both recent anime adaptations of massively popular Korean Webtoons. They both have famous K POP groups involved in their respective OSTs (Stray Kids & ATEEZ). This gives both shows a similar vibe across the board but especially in their music/OPs/EDs. They both also have unique and distinct art styles that make them stand out with their own signature looks.
