Both take place in worlds with a great deal mystery that the series explores. Both also have vocal minorities that love to complain about them, despite the series being huge successes. So if you've heard something bad about either one, they're both worth watching and making your own mind up on.

- MC grows psychologically throughout the series
- Great worldbuilding, great side characters
- Relatively serious narration with some humour
- No ecchi, powerful and important female characters
