Both series have a similar setting: a post-apocalyptic world where humans fight against vampires. Both have militaristic and dramatic sides.

Vampire in the Garden and Devilman: Crybaby have bleak storylines that explore the Us-vs-Them mentality between humanity and demons/vampires. Our protagonists in Vampire in the Garden are trying to break free from this the cycle of hate by escaping society, but are pursued because of it. Our protagonist in Devilman: Crybaby is trying to end the cycle of hate by overcoming hate and protecting society, but is persecuted for it. Both anime also has an underlying LGBT theme that motivate the main characters (Ryo/Arkira and Fine/Momo).

The vibes of both anime are similar. Both stories largely focus on characters traveling across a barren (often winter) land in search of a place that is rumored where they can live in peace. This peaceful place also shares similarities in names. For Vampire in the Garden, this place is Eden. As for Wolf's Rain, it is called Paradise.

Bittersweet Yuri romances with gorgeous OSTs. Very different themes but if you enjoyed one, you'll likely enjoy the other.

Both Are about scenarios where humanity has been devastated by a mysterious plague. During the chaos vampires come out of hiding and take control of most if not all of the world and enslaves the human populous.

• Both the anime centred around forbidden love story. > One centred around the relationship between a herbivores and Carnivorous and another between a Human and Vampire. • The dinamic between our MCs in both the anime is quite similar.

Tech-fantasy war yuri with an "outsider" element to the relationship between the protagonists. Vampire in the Garden is the stronger of the two.

"Vampire in the Garden" and "Darling in the FranXX" share several thematic and stylistic similarities despite their distinct storylines and settings. Both anime series are known for their unique blend of sci-fi and fantasy elements, coupled with deep explorations of human emotions and relationships. 1. Mecha Themes: Both series prominently feature mecha, with characters piloting giant robots to combat external threats. In "Darling in the FranXX," the FranXX units are essential to the story, while "Vampire in the Garden" features mecha-like creatures called "D2." 2. Relationship Dynamics: Both series delve into complex relationships among the main characters. "Darling in the FranXX" explores the intricacies of romantic and  read more

So many times during the viewing of Vampire In the Garden, I thought to myself, “This feels like a sapphic version of Howl’s Moving Castle, and I love it”. The dynamic of not belonging and going off with some elegant stranger happens in both stories. The relationship development is very similar. The monster forms of our MCs are a bit similar. Both romantic interest MCs are running from their duty & position and must eventually face the music... There’s a background of war occurring during both anime. If you love Howl & Sophie, you’ll probably love Fine & Momo.

Whilst I've only seen one episode, Vampire in the Garden reminded me of Blood+. The vampire hunters reminded me of Red Shield from Blood+, but what really stood out were the vampires, that looked incredibly similar to the Chiropteran. Music also plays an important part (Diva's song, the music box), something that caused me to connect the two.

Both are post-apocalyptic stories centered around groups of people fighting to create their ideal world. Each very much has the "us vs them" mindset. * Both are absolutely beautifully done and full of gut-wrenching emotions that will make you sob uncontrollably
