Both shows are about members of mafias that are at war, characters with supernatural powers, a high intellect to fight, bizarre, varied and colorful personalities, and a mix of humor and drama that can be considered a show for both adults and young people.

I'm surprised no one recommend HxH for this series, Jojo is all about battle of wits, if you want to feel the same experienced as this series, obviously it'd be HxH, and a little bit of spoiler, the new arc of HxH manga has a lot of Jojo reference from this part.

Of the many Lupin The 3rd anime that exists, Part 4 specifically focuses on the Italian setting along with historical landmarks & choice of music. This can be a companion piece to the Italian Mafia themed Golden Wind as Lupin III Part 4 also follows the viewpoint of criminals.

Group of people motivated by justice fights to bring down a criminal. Supernatural is involved and the fights are fought with intellect and with backed by the supernatural element, though in Death Note the fight stays mostly on mind games level, in JoJo it gets physical while still incorporating the mind games.

If you like fights, madness and authors doing anything they like with their character not giving a sh*t, well, Jojo and Baki are absolutely for you.

Banana Fish and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind are both 2018 adaptations of manga franchises that started in the 1980's. The main character in both anime are the child/in custody of the main villain in each series. The main character in both series hates something to do with drugs. Giorno in Golden Wind hates gangsters who sell drugs to children, while Ash hates Banana Fish, the drug that made his brother crazy. In both series the main character is a blond male teenager who wants to kill the boss of the gang and they were both abused as children. Both anime can also sometimes be  read more

Both anime revolve around using powerful spirits to fight alongside the characters with a main character who's an anti-hero alongside a character who's always in extremely high danger.

Battle shounen about infighting withing italian mafia concerning who is the next mafia boss. Fights are conducted through supernatural abilities that might be a bit wacky at times.

While both of these two series differ a lot from each other, they have few things in common that many might find as enough to give either of them a try: main character deciding to join the mafia (from one reason or another) and thus learning more and more about the mafia's structure; dangerous actions happening in the main character's life due to being a member of the mafia; charismatic characters (both main and side ones); emotional moments.

Both a group of people working together to stop something.

Both are a perfect adaptation that covers the flaws in their counterpart(manga) but albeit madoka is an original tv show the characters are very likable, with almost no plot armor

Both Main characters are chads....

Our main blonde protagonists come from the slums in their own countries, and they try the only way they know to continue with their life, and somehow both of this characters due to their actions get involved with the mafia

Honestly, I feel like there's a lot of similarities between JoJo and One Piece, I didn't realise it until now, but now that I think about it, here's a lot of similarities: - The characters have surexagerated and crazy personalities - the stands and the devil fruits share very similar powers such as shiro shiro no mi and bad company - there's dumb and weird characters, but also very serious antagonists such as dealers, mafia bosses, characters that want to conquer the world, to be the perfect form of life - There's a VERY STRONG friendship between characters, while one piece is a little less mature and talks about  read more

In both anime, the main character's goal is to become the boss, and the main character is also new to the gang.

The amount of detail, time and plot that has been put into these two radiate the same energy as if they were made by the same person (Hirohiko Araki) so i would say that all the emotions you had while watching 1 will be the same with the other.

both series deal with "honorable" young gangsters, the two deal with topics such as mafia, drugs and interpersonal relationships. The big differences are: jojo takes place in italy, has superpowers and the way Giorno controls things is with force, in IWGP it takes place in japan, has no superpowers and Makoto does things in a more "peaceful" way.

It´s kind a similar nwith jojo, in the good background on characters

watch the other jojos first but its very crime oriented both protagonists want to make a better world both kill "corrupted" people in their respective societies both do crime to end the crime

Both are shonen with a lot of fighting and are more violent and gory than most shonen. You will find bizarreness and some lack of realism in both shows. Both shows are very fast paced and in your face with something always happening all the time. The plot progression is kind of the same too where every episode some action happens or some mystery is uncovered that gets them closer to the goal that is very clear from the start. These shows also have some weird sometimes unintentional meme-able comedy.

If you enjoyed Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Parte 5: Vento Aureo, you should check out Mawaru Penguindrum, not the other way around. Both of these tackle the theme of fate, albeit in different ways. Both have found family elements; while in Vento Aureo it leans more into "Band of Brothers", both Mawaru Penguindrum and Vento Aureo give a very a similar feeling. Both have bittersweet endings.

Supernatural summons and their ridiculously dressed owners have violent, campy battles with mysterious stakes.

Mafias, drama, epic struggles, a cast of very diverse characters and the formula of autoconclusive mini stories (if not 1, 2 chapters) at the first half, to be more complex in the second (in black lagoon is the second seasond). In addition, they have a protagonist with little protagonism that joins a criminal organization, but is still a good person.

Since this season of jojo is about Gang-Stars and like that idea I really recommend Baccano with it's crazy characters and interesting story.

A neglected teenager with bizarre powers joins a shadowy organization to reach his ambitions, joining a group of others with similarly troubled backgrounds who have to fight against others who use similar powers for evil. No one can be trusted and plot armor is little to nonexistent most of the time.

This is anime may as well be considered JoJo Part 6 due to it's excessive use of JoJo references.

Both solely focused on this idea of the main character starting with nothing, eventually gaining a momentous, pivotal ambition that is far from easy to obtain, hence in this case, starting a coup on a nation or faction destroying it from the inside out for a far greater purpose. However, the trick to these types of situations is that the character has to have the resolve and fighting will to tarnish their very own reputation, life, bonds and so on in the process.

Both anime's have a group or gang consists of criminals. Jojo Part 5: they are fighting bunch of criminal stand users so that they can reach their goal to defeat the boss of the mafia. Akudama drive: They are criminals that are grouped by a kid that wishes to get out of the kanto region, so he hires all the best akudama's in the region.

Both have intense battles. Great fight scenes. Crazyyyyyyy animation.

both have "enemy of the week" as standard format, wich are kind of seemingless but contribute to develop main cast skills. both have this kind of "mistery" trying to figure out how does the bad guy skill works and then start the counterattack of the mc And overall both hace very weirdly likable characters

Gunslinger Girl = Part 5 but with little girls and a more depressive tone

Kaiji: Against All Rules and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind both follow the story of an outlaw that got their hands into a messy organization and now have to fight these rather particular people if they don't want to live a life of despondency. In the second half of the shows, the MC and their team needs to fight against a rather ''flamboyant'' villain (Ichijou in Kaiji and Diavolo in Jojo). Lastly, the two anime have very ''unique'' character designs to say the least which really help set the atmosphere for their also ''unique'' stories.
