both lighthearted fantasy isekai stories with OP main characters based on light novels.
report Recommended by xarin42
Both have a similar start with the protagonist dying in an accident and being given a new life in another world, plus a gift from god to help them along. Both are parodies of the isekai genre, but where KonoSuba has an utterly dysfunctional main cast and derives the comedy from there, Smartphone goes the opposite route of having actual competent characters instead, including the god, leading to a much different (and arguably superior) ride.

Both have: - Isekai: Reincarnated from an unfortunate incident to another fantasy world. - Both are an Adventure story where they make many female friends. - Both characters are OP, straight up. - Both are about magic. - Both main protagonists have their old memories from the previous world. - Both have comedy. - "Started from the bottom, now we're here."

both series is mainly focus in another world for this one. the difference is SAO is a story of a living person playing in a game and Isekai a guy who died and reincarnated in a new world. both main character have some special skill and make they're famous with the girls around them. if you like fantasy themed anime with romance and a little bit comedy you should tried this

Both of these animes share a lot of similar overhanging themes and details. -Person in a strange world -Smartphone is the only thing still with the Protagonist in this new world -Protagonist uses a smartphone to create items from their world to progress their new world -Build a harem, lots o' lolis -Protagonist is uninterested in his harem and his harem is in love with him

Isekai Harem anime where the protagonist gets engaged to the all the girls.

Main character uses there knowledge from modern-day to be extremely valuable in a fantasy world.

The main characters are introduced in a new fantasy world and enjoy life as they build their reputation of being the most powerful being in this world and as they rapidly build a harem.

Both mc's suddenly need to live in another world with new races and magic.
report Recommended by Jannis-kun
Both are harems where mc gets with many waifus.
report Recommended by Eis3
Kuma Kuma is literally just a female-centered reskin of Smartphone, but both are packed with happy moments, neither have any kind of antagonist, and there's no drama at all. Great for relaxing!
report Recommended by starfarts
- The main characters both get sent off to different universes, but retain something from their homeland that gives them an upper hand over the natives. - Many young girls in both cases - Both contain fanservice, but not the typical ecchi lewd type

If you enjoy Ore dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon a.k.a The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter. You will definitely enjoy Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni. In both of these anime the main character has OP powers and skills. They both can create skills and have OP magic. And of course both characters have a harem fighting over them. They both serve for the greater good in their world which grant them respect from other characters. Its pretty nice to watch if there's nothing else on the list to watch. If you like OP main characters, action and adventure, and Harems. Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo  read more

god's help guild quests i don't know how to explain but it feels almost same

In both anime, the MC is way overpowered. Obviously, Mahouka has a completely different style of magic, since it is staged in the 22nd century, while Smartphone was staged in a parallel world in the medieval era. however both are in many ways similar. Mainly in the MC's character.

Standard isekai formula

Want a boring self-insert MC? A harem where girls mindlessly fall for the MC? Classic trope overkill? Incoherent worldbuilding? IseLeve and Smartphone Isekai fill that bill very well! While the MCs may be different (IseLeve features a fat guy who then finds himself in another world, while IseLeve is a reincarnation), they both boil down to extremely similar ideas and stories.

Isekai padrão, com protagonistas cheio de esposas/ Isekai standard, with protagonists full of wives

Both Mc dies from a God mistake Both Mc were granted a special unique device Both Mc gets a Harem in its new life Both Mc are good and gentle person Both Mc are op or very strong

Both MCs died after an unfortunate accident. Both MCs receive god's blessing and have the ability to communicate with god. Both MCs use the knowledge they have in their previous life to assist them in their adventure. Both MCs are kind and caring to others around him, which earns him a lot of respect. Both MCs also help Nobel/kings and eventually become friends with them. Both anime are relatively lighthearted anime. I can recommend Grace of the Gods if you enjoy Smartphone

Each has an Op/badass male character Each revolves around a fantasy setting Characters do magic Art style is similar each characters are given their own magical abilities
report Recommended by Spoonmaster12
Similarities: Both MCs are extremely powerful. Both MCs have a harem. Differences: MC in Isekai wa smartphone was reincarnated in the fantasy world unlike Tatoeba Last Dungeon Mae no Mura where the protag was born in that fantasy world. MC in Isekai wa smartphone got powers from god while MC in Tatoeba Last Dungeon Mae no Mura trained in his hometown to become powerful.

The same story plot where the MC finds himself in another world and become the best of what he can be away from the mundane life they once had back in their world.

Main mc gets reincarnated in another world. Harem. MC is super op. Even some scenes seems very similar.
report Recommended by Snowwman
Wholesome anime with little action but MCs not a dumb guy in this one but is very OP, smart, calm and collective and has a harem which will get bigger as the show progresses.
report Recommended by Sephir7
S: Both MC transport into fantasy worlds Both MC have overpowered skills Both MC have female group (harem) D: Seiken MC reincarnates vs Smartphone MC isekai Seiken MC was monster vs Smartphone MC was/still is human
report Recommended by ST63LTH
How to get used to the new life (with the royal family) and handle political affairs, at ease,...in another world? That sounds quite fascinating of a living, not to mention the world building still leaves many left to explore, hence the depth is immeasurable.
report Recommended by SgtBateMan
-Both stories involve an overpowered MC, -Both stories have the MC surrounded by girl companions -Both stories are consisting of pretty much no negativity, except a little to make the show interesting -Both stories are cute -Both stories are consensual and wholesome polygamy romance. Note that both stories are definitely not for those who don't like non-novel plots, or not very strong logics.

Male reincarnates in fantasy setting as OP MC blessed by gods. Creates harem with OP abilities, a kind heart and plot armor. Plot focusses on world building w/o a concrete villain
report Recommended by Malcayn
-Both are harems, but Smartphone is another rare level of harem -I said "harem". Of course, they are both romance -Negativity is always followed by positivity -Male MCs are strong -Cute -Heart warming
report Recommended by Santibag
Lets begin with the similarities, They both find themselves in another world, at the start They are both I belive overpowered main characters, The main character is and kind person that gets surrounded by friends The main character makes all the girls fall for them Both main characters are great at almost everything, one is at labor, other is at magic They find out soon enough how they were sent
report Recommended by HKelmic
Shinka no Mi is like watered down version of Smartphone. It does all of the same stuff, but goes slightly less overboard.
report Recommended by Sceles
Both go into another world. Both being Tech (either a smartphone or a Tablet) with knowledge from their world that can revolutionize this new world. Both Main Characters are pretty OP - in their own respective forte.

harem + about strong man between girls
report Recommended by Leilani0
While Reikenzan isn't isekai, it shares a lot of the same vibes that iskei anime have. Its balances lightheartedness with action, adventure, and comedy. Similarly, it has a strong focus on the main character training to become better. Also, the MC is OP as hell
report Recommended by gurrenm3
If you enjoy your harem full of magic, fantasy, and gorgeous ladies, check out the other. Both male protagonists are gifted with magic supremacy in their respective worlds. They are humble and strive for a better tomorrow. Isekai's setting takes place in a fantasy-like world full of humor and adventures. Seiken has a school-like setting with suspenseful events.

Ever wanted to be transported to a kids fantasy adventure world and, on top of the typical antics, end up with a harem of cute girls? These shows do have their more serious moments, but they're mostly lighthearted tales where the main character hangs out with local royalty, solving all their problems because he's more powerful than pretty much any opponent. After dealing with the occasional rampaging demon or dragon, the hero must face an ever greater challenge: how to divvy up his time amongst his haremettes!
report Recommended by kasarn
Both are isekai Both have fast paced plot Both have op mc's Both are comedies Main difference is Ixion is a parody and is full of ecchi jokes.
report Recommended by WikiMAL
Similar situation where MC found him/herself in another world, where he or she now has to use his/her wits to survive. The difference was one is a usual harem while the other is reverse harem, also one world is an afterlife for the guy who is living the life, while the girl in another anime is living in a nightmare.
report Recommended by Whoahoho
At first glance, they are totally different shows. However, for a broad-minded and laid-back viewer they will seem to be comparable. A human being lost and found in another, uncanny world? Check. A friendly harem (or a homologue of a harem)? Check. Problem solving skills reaching maximum? Check. Loveliness? Check. There is also a good deal of differences, but that should be enough to recommend "Kemono Friends" to "Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni" fans. And vice versa.

Although with vastly different storylines, Clannad being in the normal world with another world connotations and In Another World with my Smartphone based in another world, the following are the similarities between them: Both are counted as Harems although Clannad is to a lesser degree as the main heroine of Tomoya is Nagisa but other girls have affections for him but in In Another World with my Smartphone all of them want him and Touya can't choose. Also the Twins in Clannad Kyou and Ryou are too similar to Linze and Else from In Another World with my Smartphone in terms of their physical appearances as well  read more

Both the protagonists Touya and Saito have a Dukedom of their own and are masters of a castle where many women who love him are living with him. The difference is that in The Familiar of Zero they fight for his affections whereas in In Another World with my Smartphone, they are on the same page and want to share him. The concept of a unique magical world is also common to them.
report Recommended by Najia111
Set in a fantasy world. Both MC is overpowered and has a serious trait. It has game-like environment. The magic battles are intense. Entertaining and fun to watch.

Both go into alternate dimension/world MC possesses OP powers from strange looking men Have the rare ability to control more than one element

Another wholesome anime with overpowered Main character and cute girls.
report Recommended by Kitteng
Both comedies that have a mix of harem style silliness, with at some times very serious moments involving how the main characters’ lives turn out

both are isekai although Bofuri a VRMMORPG but most of the story take place in game so it almost like a true isekai both have overpowered mc that keep getting overpowered and are to oblivious to really notes maple (Bofuri) by putting every start stat point into vitality (defense along with become a great shielder class that boost vitality) along with her unorthodox play style like letting a cute bunny monster attack for an hour without striking back or falling asleep in a monster filled woods (this is slightly different in the print version) or try to solo a boss at very low level and  read more
