Adorable is one word that describes both of these series, but there is a certain charm behind the two series which fills the viewer with a nice, warm and fluffy feeling. Cardcaptor Sakura and Ojamajo Doremi are in fact your classic Magical Girl series which hit all of the major plot point expected of a Magical Girl series, yet the fact they don't go beyond this doesn't mean the characters are any less charming and delightful, but there is a new adventure every episode.

Both are magical girl type shows, that are super cute! ^.^

Both are late 90s/early 00s toei magical girl shows with similar chibi-esque character designs, and both shows have a younger girl main character who help a witch with the shop they run. Most importantly, both shows build a sense of community throughout their entire runs which makes the towns they take place in come alive.

Friendly shows about magicians/witches living in our world and having to conceal their identity. While vastly different in pace (Doremi is fast, Sweet Mint is slow), both are ultimately shows about trying to bring out the best in people.

They're both cute witch-themed magical girl shows. However, "Mahou Tsukai Precure" follows the monster of the week formula while "Ojamajo Doremi" doesn't have any fights.

Both have large casts of incredibly fleshed out and deep characters that anyone can relate to. Give it enough time and you'll fall in love with each and every single one of them. Some other similarities are their expressive animation, themes of positivity and overcoming personal struggles, and a whimsical nature that's sure to have you fully immersed.

Both are anime with magical girls, fighting the evil. Both are part of love in a less and in one more.

Magical girl series that feature touching episodic stories, mostly surrounding the classmates and family of the protagonists. They also share character designer and are made in a way for fun exaggerated character reactions.

It has magic girls and they find out the have powers

Ojamajo Doremi has witches while Princess Tutu has ballet. Both shows deal somehow with music, the art is similar and even Ahiru reminds me of Doremi.

Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san and Ojamajo Doremi are two family-friendly magical girl anime with a very cute pink-haired main character who uses magic within her daily life. If you want a touch of wholesomeness in your magical girl anime, these two anime are likely for you. Also, the voice actress for Majorika voices Comet-san's rival's magical familiar, so if you liked Majorika's funny voice you may be happy to recognize it in Mook (the familiar's name) too.

Ojamajo Doremi and Star Twinkle PreCure are two magical girl shows made by TOEI Animation that follow a pink-haired female protagonist as they gain magical powers. The protagonists of both shows, Doremi and Hikaru, are peppy and enthusiastic about having said magical powers. Both shows are targeted to girls of all ages.

Similarity - have transformation scene - friendship Difference - Doremi didn't only use magic when facing bad guy Which one is better? Doremi

Full Moon wo Sagashite and Ojamajo Doremi are two magical girl anime that follows the life of one young schoolgirl before magic changes her life forever. Full Moon is definitely less light-hearted and not as magical-girl-centric as Ojamajo Doremi, but both do share a good amount of both comedy and noticeably serious episodes peppered in throughout the runtime. Music is also very present, as Full Moon's protagonist wants to be an idol and Ojamajo Doremi's magic is music-themed.

Series set in towns packed with eccentric, memorable characters. They gradually build a strong sense of community and chronicle the rocky yet inspiring maturation of central cast members. Both have awesome character designs and godly OSTs. (It should be noted that watching the first three parts of the Jojo series will probably improve your enjoyment of the fourth.)

okay these 2 are actually very different in nature but there is an aspect of DCSS that really reminds me of Doremi. In both magic exists in the world and only certain people know about it and can use it and in both main characters (well in DCSS is just Aisia) want to help people with magic but often it brings a comical failure when they could normally help others without using any magic though there is also rare heartwarming moments of magic actually helped others in both... uh in other words I mean there is this theme that you might think magic makes living  read more

Cute girls are given magical powers and sent off to school to cause mischief! In Balala, they're fairies, while in Doremi they're witches. Both series have a lot of humor, with Balala's being a bit more slapstick in style. The casts are quite different and varied, but mostly in their young school years with lots of bubbly curiosity. They're also both long series, with several other seasons to binge your way through.

Fun, funny, upbeat + cuteness + lovable characters + dark themes handled well

Ojamajo Doremi and Kaiketsu Zorori are both shows that one may consider cartoony and they both have a young target demographic. Another thing is they both have somewhat flexible tones. They are both mostly light heart but sometimes have emotional and serious moments though Ojamajo Doremi has more of that.

in the source novel for the nhk anime, there's no reference to any character named pururin. however, multiple real-life anime are directly referenced in the nhk novel. in one early nhk scene, wherein satou is overwhelmingly annoyed at his assumedly otaku neighbor for repeatedly playing the pururin anisong over and over again, the original novel referred instead to the op of ojamajo doremi, an incredibly popular magical girl series from that era. hence, the denpa pururin song was most likely inspired in part by the first ojamajo doremi op, "ojamajo carnival".

Different genres and target audiences, but both series know when to be funny and when to be serious (with the overal tone favouring comedy). Similar "looming curse" and "know when to quit" moments in both shows. Outstaning endings in both cases.

A slime grants magical power to a group of friends in return for some help to achieve its goal. Although Ojamajo Doremi is not as short but the ending of both shows are pretty similar

A Whisker Away, while not a TV series, shares some similarities with Ojamajo Doremi. Not only are both directed by Junichi Sato, but the main character is an enthusiastic girl who wants to be something related to their story's theme—Miyo wants to be a cat, while Doremi wants to be a witch. They accidentally get their wish through a magical item given to her from a magical being, and learn about the existence of a parallel world. The story also surprisingly develops several other characters and not just the main character.

just watch the main tv series... this is just a not-bad celebration for its 20th anniversary. the main series are amazing, especially the ending for the last one...

Ojamajo Doremi(translation: meddlesome/mischieveous witches) is a series full of bold witches apprentices bringing magic to a nonmagical world, like Kiki, only this time you get to learn so much more about the culture of witches, their long eccentric lives and their successful and sometimes less so attempts at coexisting with ordinary humans. It is one of my favourite series, definitely the coziest most emotionally complex magical girl series, even considering the characters young age.

Machikado Mazoku and Ojamajo Doremi are two funny magical girl shows about a red-haired girl who has just received magical powers and are expected by others to do something, but isn't very good at doing said task. However, the main character in both shows is supported by her friends, who try to help her with her troubles. Both shows are just wholesome, and are also directed by people who are no strangers to directing magical girl anime.

About Human Girls learning how to be witches, (in Little witch academia it is only one human). Both are colorfull, funny and both have very good characters, animation and music. Ojamajo Doremi is mahou shoujo style.

Both are maigcal girl anime with kids as main characters. In Ojamajo Doremi they try to become witches and in Fushigiboshi they try to become good princesses.

Lots of magical girl transformation and girliness. PPGZ is more actiony though.

3 girls transforming art is similar and both uber cute kid shows (ugh is it possible for something to be so cute that it doesnt annoy me at all ?! O_O)

Both involve young witches-in-training and have a clumsy protagonist. Stylized artwork

Both animes Are magical girl with transformations and music.
report Recommended by zhoumilicious
Both are vibrant, colorful, girly anime series with witches as magical girls. The difference between them is the Ojamajo witches are from the human world and Sugar Rune witches are not from the human world. Sugar Rune only ran for one season and DoReMi has a total of 4 seasons (I also recommend checking out DoReMi's other 3 seasons!).

Both of them are about unlucky girls who become a magical girl, get some kind of fairy and they both help other people with their magic.

It is all about magic! And it is all about girls!
report Recommended by myori_dasu
Magical girl anime that is colorful, vibrant, and appropriate for young people. Both of the main characters are considered clumsy, gluttonous, and wear pink. The main characters' friends are a polite brown-haired girl and a tomboy who wears blue. Both shows have cute mascots/pets.
report Recommended by Pikangie
Magical girl series that deal with the girls using their newfound powers to solve problems and help out their friends, not fighting evil. While they appeal to a young audience, they also have enough of a serious plot to interest older viewers who don't mind a little bit of cuteness in their anime.
report Recommended by Anomalous
The setting is similar to the witch world from Ojamajo Doremi. Both main characters are little girls. They are surrounded by strange talking animals anf objects.
report Recommended by cinnamon32
Colorful magical girl anime focused on looking cute, and with kids audience in mind mainly. While Ojamajo Doremi has witches, Flower Fairy has fairies.

An elementary school girl with an odango hairstyle has magical powers to change her appearance, and has two other friends who help her achieve her main goal. The main character's little sister joins them later on in the series because she idolizes the new form her sister takes.
report Recommended by mimitchi33
The third season had them working in a sweets shop.
report Recommended by mimitchi33
Very bright and colorful Magical Girl series that really can make people happy. Maybe Doremi is more childish, the heroines being younger and not having bad guys to fight, only dealing with minor life problems while in Precure there is really a danger of the world being controlled by an evil organization, and the girls have to fight putting their life on the line. So if you're a Precure fan you might not like Doremi too much, but I'm pretty sure that if you like Doremi you will love Smile Precure as well.
report Recommended by Aeleia
Both series involve a girl becoming a witch apprentice. Both involve an alternate world. Kuromajo-san ga Tooru!!: Makai. Ojamajo Doremi: Majokai.
